The Chinese envoy highlighted the importance of preserving parliamentary ties between Iran and China, adding that these bilateral ties completely conforms with international regulations.

He went on to say that China is opposed to US unilateral sanctions against Iran, adding that his country will continue bilateral cooperation with Iran.

Boroujerdi, for his part, said that the trade war ignited by US President Donald Trump has deformed the structure of international relations and this will surely harm US.

He also touched upon the increased level of ties between the two nations, hoping that this trend would continue faster and more powerful than before.

Boroujerdi also appreciated recent China’s stance towards continuation of ties with Iran, especially regarding oil cooperation, and called for holding more specialist meetings between the two countries’ parliaments for boosting relations.

JCPOA is a good example to move towards a proper diplomacy system, although the United States has decided to withdraw from the deal, all other signatories have supported it, he added.

Pang Sen underlined that “Iran has been fully committed to its commitments under the nuclear deal,.”

It is undoubtedly true that the world today has become a global village, and with the advancement of technology, in which there are no boundaries and people are getting closer to each other; therefore, we want to restore this historic Silk Road, which marks the beginning of Iran-China relations.

He added “the Silk Road has been successful on land and sea, thanks to Iran’s effective presence; Islamic Republic has always played an important role in keeping it alive, so I am proud to say that China has been the first Iranian trading partner last year, and since 2016, when Iran’s president visited China, the two presidents decided to expand their relations through partnership and cooperation.”
