Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Sultanov met with Mokhber on Tuesday in Tehran.

Mokhber highlighted the necessity of elevating cooperation and transactions between Iran and Kazakhstan in the fields of trade, economy, industry, agriculture and mining, calling for increased activity by joint commissions.

He also said that holding joint exhibitions would help the private sector in both countries to identify opportunities and capacities.

The first vice president also mentioned SCO, ECO and EAEU organizations and urged support for private sectors of member-states to increase trade transactions between their businesspeople and entrepreneurs.

The senior Kazakh official welcomed President Ebrahim Raisi’s foreign policy to expand ties with neighboring countries and emphasized holding joint commission meetings and specialized exhibitions.

The Kazakh deputy prime minister who is also minister of trade and integration also criticized anti-Iran sanctions.

Sultanov added that holding joint commissions between the two countries as well as holding joint specialized exhibitions is strong tool for developing relation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Kazakhstan, adding that with forming trade center and private sectors of the two countries one can expect bright future on way of expansion of bilateral cooperation.

He then pointed to the nuclear talks in Vienna with world powers and emphasized removal of sanctions against Iran.

Sultanov then pointed to the massive capacities in the regional organizations for cooperation, noting that Iran’s presence in these organizations and expansion of opportunities for cooperation is a suitable opportunity for the growth and development of regions in the region and also the Islamic Republic.

Iran’s Agriculture Minister Seyed Javad Sadatinejad as the head of Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Commission briefed Mr. Mokhber of details of the 17th session of the commission and talked on the fields for expanding cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan.

Speaking in a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym Tokayev on Friday and on the second day of his visit to Tajikistan, Raisi described the developments in Afghanistan as a common issue for all countries in the region, saying, “Afghanistan’s problems can only be resolved through the formation of a comprehensive government with the participation of all groups that can bring peace and stability to the country away from foreign countries’ interference in Afghanistan’s affairs”.

Iran seeks to resolve the nuclear issue through dialogue, he said, adding, “Of course, as stated before, we do not want negotiation for negotiation, but we are looking for negotiations that lead to resolving the issues and yielding results”.

In this meeting, Kazakh President Tokayev, for his part, stated that his country was interested in strengthening its relations and interactions with the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the economic field, adding, “The transit lines with Chabahar as the center can be the lines of developing economic relations between Iran and Central Asian countries”.

Tokayev added, “Kazakhstan fully agrees with the views of the Islamic Republic of Iran and considers the formation of an inclusive government with the participation of all groups as the only way to solve Afghanistan’s problems”.
