TEHRAN (Iran News) –Speaking to reporters in Iran’s Shahrekord on Tuesday, Eslami lashed out at the US for withdrawing from the 2015 nuclear deal and preventing the other countries from working with Iran.

He said the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran complies with the parliamentary law on “strategic action” for lifting of the sanctions and safeguarding national interests when it comes to the JCPOA.

According to the parliamentary law, when the other JCPOA parties fail to honor their commitments, then Iran should reduce its commitments as well, he said.

“We are currently in the phase of reduction of commitments (to the JCPOA),” he added.

Pointing to the periodic meetings of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors, Eslami said the quarterly and biannual reports that the IAEA gives to the Board of Governors and the UNSC certify Iran’s compliance or non-compliance with the JCPOA.

The report includes two sections regarding the NPT and the Safeguards, he stated, adding, “We obey the (parliamentary law on) strategic action for the removal of sanctions when it comes to the JCPOA. Iran’s nuclear activities under the strategic action are within the framework of the Safeguards.”

In January, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani called on the IAEA to perform its professional function and stay away from political issues when it comes to cooperation with Iran.

Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to the NPT and the Safeguards Agreement, Kanaani said since the conclusion of the JCPOA, Iran has been at the top of the list of countries where the IAEA has carried out the highest number of inspections.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, issued a defiant message to “enemies” on Sunday, vowing that Iran’s development, including its nuclear program, will continue unabated despite attempts to hinder it.

Speaking at the Bahman 22 rally, Eslami congratulated Iranians on the Fajr decade, a period commemorating the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and accused enemies of using “countless accusations” to slow down the country’s progress.

He emphasized the importance of nuclear technology for national development, arguing it is crucial for advancements in various scientific, technological, and industrial fields.

Despite “enemies’ will to hamper Iran’s access,” Eslami declared that “thanks to God, endogenous research, self-belief, and effort,” Iran has achieved nuclear technological self-sufficiency, foiling the enemies’ objectives.

He dismissed any impact of “enemies’ terrorist moves” on Iranian scientists and the nation’s resolve, emphasizing the Iranian people’s 45-year commitment to the Islamic Revolution and warned “enemies” that they cannot deter the nation’s progress.

“The dear Iranian nation is more powerful than the enemies’ plots,” he declared, praising the people’s wisdom and continued support for the Islamic Revolution.

Eslami concluded by asserting Iran’s position as one of the leaders in scientific progress, declaring that today the country is on the top of the chart of scientific progress in the world.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s nuclear chief has criticized international organizations for their inaction regarding the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza, pointing out that their reluctance to recognize the Israeli military’s actions as war crimes has revealed their double standards to the world.

Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), investigated the threats of the Zionist regime to bombard Gaza with atomic weapons, criticizing the international bodies for their silence in the face of the regime’s open threats.

“A significant issue in the Gaza war is the observation of the double standards of international organizations, which have exposed the crimes of the Zionist regime to the world,” Eslami remarked on Saturday.

Amichai Eliyahu, Israel’s Heritage Minister, mentioned in an interview on November 5, 2023, that nuking the Gaza Strip is one of Israel’s options. Iran and several other countries have slammed the remarks as a global threat.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization added, “I have conveyed this issue in a letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s director-general and reflected on the threats of the Zionist regime to use nuclear bombs in Gaza.”

He further underscored the history of threats to use nuclear bombs by the regime’s prime minister at the United Nations, even threatening Iran previously.

Eslami also discussed the recent session of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors, highlighting their collective decision to remain silent toward Israel’s hostile moves.

He said, “Various countries have explicitly referred to the conflict of Gaza in their statements and speeches, and the entire recent session of the Board of Governors was under the influence of the crimes of the occupying regime in Gaza.”

Since the inception of the war on October 7, Israel has been violently targeting non-combatants and civilian sites in Gaza, disregarding the international rules and regulations about committing war crimes.

Despite the four-day truce agreements, the prospects of winding down the war remain dubious. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue the war against the innocent people of Gaza even after the truce expires, stating his aims to destroy Hamas’ military capabilities, end its 16-year rule in Gaza, and return all the estimated 240 captives held in Gaza by Hamas and other resistance groups.

Israel, which maintains ambiguity about its nuclear weapons, is believed to possess an estimated 200 to 400 nuclear warheads in its arsenal, making it the sole possessor of non-conventional arms in West Asia. The regime has refused inspections of its military nuclear facilities and signing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
