										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) – Bosnian foreign minister meets <a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/2021/08/raisi-vows-to-boost-relations-with-latin-america/">Raisi</a>. Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic held talks on Tuesday night with Iran’s new president Ebrahim Raisi.</p>
<p>At the meeting, Raisi emphasized that Iran’s principled policy is to maintain security in all regions and protecting the territorial integrity of all countries.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our position is to maintain the safety and well-being of all regions,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>Iran also defends the oppressed people all over the world, Raisi pointed out.</p>
<p>The new Iranian president regretted that many human rights violations in the world are committed by those countries who claim to be human rights defenders.</p>
<p>Raisi also praised the friendly and profound relationship between Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and called for efforts to identify and activate the potential for extensive economic cooperation between the two countries.</p>
<p>For her part, Turkovic congratulated Raisi for winning the presidency in Iran and thanked the Islamic Republic for supporting her country and expressed Sarajevo&#8217;s willingness to strengthen relations with Tehran.</p>
<p>Bosnia and Herzegovina supports Iran on the international stage, she added.</p>
<p>Turkovic was one of dozens of foreign officials who flew to Iran to attend Raisi&#8217;s swearing-in ceremony on Thursday.</p>
<p>Dozens of high-ranking officials arrived in Tehran in the past two days to participate in Raisi’s inauguration ceremony, including European External Action Service (EEAS) Deputy Secretary General Enrique Mora, Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Pope Francis&#8217;s special envoy Christophe Zakhia El-Kassis, and South Korean Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun.</p>

<p>In a twitter message on Monday night, he wrote &#8220;Delighted to meet President Mirziyoyev and FM Kamilov in #Uzbekistan.</p>
<p>Fruitful talks on ways to build on our millennia-old ties to propel our bilateral and regional cooperation.</p>
<p>Next stops: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan&#8221;</p>
<p>The Iranian foreign minister on Monday met Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to review the issues of mutual interest.</p>
<p>Zarif, who is in Tashkent, called for bolstering the areas that benefit both sides.</p>
<p>Mirziyoyev, for his part, urged the importance of bilateral relations and the need to boost cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the holding of the 14th round of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in a shorter period of time.</p>
<p>Earlier, Zarif made the remarks in Uzbekistan, after a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Khafizovich Kamilov.</p>
<p>Congratulating the people of Uzbekistan on Nowruz (the New Persian Year), the Iranian foreign minister said that the Iranian and Uzbek people share many cultural values in common, including Nowruz.</p>
<p>He also said on Monday that Iran can serve as a transit road for Uzbekistan to the global markets and the high seas.</p>
<p>Zarif made the remarks in Uzbekistan, after a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Khafizovich Kamilov.</p>
<p>Congratulating the people of Uzbekistan on Nowruz (the New Persian Year), the Iranian foreign minister said that the Iranian and Uzbek people share many cultural values in common, including Nowruz.</p>
<p>He said that during the meeting with the Uzbek foreign minister, they explored ways to promote different economic, political and cultural relations and discussed regional cooperation, including peace in Afghanistan, as well.</p>
<p>Zarif said that there are many different grounds for cooperation with Uzbekistan, adding that he would raise expansion of cooperation with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev later today.</p>
<p>The Iranian foreign minister is on a visit to Central Asia for meetings with officials from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Zarif paid a visit go the Center for Islamic Civilization which is under construction in Tashkent.</p>
<p>He said that construction of the center could both strengthen reliance on the Islamic beliefs in line with the fight against extremism and distancing from violent perceptions of Islam.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met and held talks with his counterparts in Turkey on the regional developments and bilateral relations.</p>

<p>During the meeting, Zarif expressed solidarity with Turkey in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.</p>
<p>The two sides discussed the ways to compensate for the decline in trade between the two countries over the past four months due to the coronavirus pandemic.</p>
<p>Iranian Foreign Minister also emphasized the need to resume gas exports and repair and reconstruction of the damaged section of the gas pipeline.</p>
<p>The latest developments in Syria, Yemen, Libya and the fight against terrorism were among the topics discussed by the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Turkey.</p>
<p>They also agreed to hold the Astana Summit virtually in the coming weeks and then to hold a face-to-face meeting in Tehran as soon as possible.</p>
<p>Heading an Iranian delegation, Zarif traveled to Istanbul on Sunday evening to meet with his Turkish counterpart and is scheduled to travel to Russia to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.</p>
<p>Following his trip to Syria in April, this is Zarif’s second foreign visit after the first wave of coronavirus.</p>
<p>Iran, Russia, and Turkey, as guarantors of the Astana Process, are working to reinforce the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and let Syrians decide their future by establishing de-escalation zones, forming a constitutional committee, and following up on the dialogue process and national reconciliation.</p>
