<p>Iranian junior athletes picked one gold, four silver and four bronze medals in the third day of their competitions. Also, nine Iranian athletes have managed to reach the final of Sanda competition and await gold.</p>
<p>Mohammad Hosseini in 15-18 age group of boys’ Daosho form won the second gold medal of Iran in the event. Representatives from Malaysia and South Korea stood next in this category.</p>
<p>In 12-15 age group of boys’ Nandao form, Mehdi Khani grabbed silver. He had previously won a bronze in Nanquan and a silver in Nanguan forms.</p>
<p>Mohammad Ali Mojiri in 15-18 age group of boys’ Nandao form picked another silver. He had also earlier gained 2 bronze medals in Nanguan and Nanquan forms.</p>
<p>Iranian girls’ team comprising Mina Panahi and Sogand Golshani collected 9.07 points in Duilian form and grabbed the silver medal.</p>
<p>Iranian boys’ team consisting of Mohammad Ali Mojiri and Mohammad Hosseini won the silver medal of boys’ Duilian form.</p>
<p>In girls’ Nandao form, Nazanin Bazdar and Mina Panahi pocketed two bronze medals in 12-15 and 15-18 age groups respectively.</p>
<p>Zahra Botshekan in 9-12 age group of girls’ Daosho form won another bronze for her country.</p>
<p>In Sanda competitions, Ebrahim Aslani, Shoja Panahi, Mohammad Farhadi, Hamid Kianian, Mohammad Hajizadeh, Mohammad Mehdi Rezaie, Hassan Lotfi, Ayda Heidari and Kimia Shoushtari advanced to the final match of their weight categories and will fight for the gold medal in the final day of event.</p>
<p>Also, Sanda practitioner Yasin Shahraki suffered defeat in the semifinal against an Indian representative and collected another bronze medal for Iran.</p>
<p>Iranian wushu practitioners had previously bagged 8 medals – including one gold, four silver and three bronze – in the event.</p>
<p>The competition started on July 9 in Brasilia, Brazil and will wrap up on July 16.</p>

<p class="summary introtext">Iranian junior freestyle wrestlers have collected three gold, silver and bronze medals in the first World Championships of the season in Zagreb, Croatia.</p>

<p>As the freestyle competitions continued in Zagreb yesterday, Amir Hossein Zare won the gold medal at 110kg, Mohammad Reza Ghiasi won the silver medal at 80kg, and Mohammad Karimi collected the bronze medal at 65kg category.</p>
<p>Zare defeated Daniel Greg Kerkvliet from the USA 7-4 in the final match to clinch the gold medal, while Ghiasi lost to a Russian wrestler 9-6 to receive the silver medal.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, another Iranian representative Mohammad Karimi finished in third place by defeating an Armenian junior wrestler 10-5.</p>
<p>The tournament is underway with men’s freestyle competitions on July 2-4, followed by women’s freestyle on July 4-6 with Greco-Roman closing out the event on July 6-8. Each weight in each style will be contested over for two days.</p>
<p>The national Iranian Cadet Greco-Roman wrestling team comprised of 10 wrestlers at different categories left Tehran for Zagreb this morning to take on their opponents in the same event later this week.</p>

<p>Arvin Moazzami came third to snatch the bronze medal in the Asian championships underway in Myanmar. He finished the 42-kilometer (26.1 miles) race in 50:52 in the men’s road race individual time trial. A cyclist from Hong Kong finished the line in 49:53 to clinch the gold medal at that category, indicating that the Iranian cyclist was almost 1 minute behind the winner.</p>
<p>The 2018 Asian Road and Para Cycling Championships is underway in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on 6th-12th February 2018.</p>

<p>Mohammad Amin Samadi won the title in the Hopes division. One more gold trophy was collected by Fatemeh Jamalifar and Mahshid Ashtari who competed in Girls’ singles.</p>
<p>Silver medalists of the Iranian caravan comprised Parinaz Hajilou, Mahshid Ashtari, Fatemah Jamalifar, Shima Safaei, Amin Ahmadian, Amirreza Abbasi, Hamid Shams as well as Seyed Mohammad Mousavi Taher.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Parinaz Hajilou also managed to bring home bronze medal of Girls’ Singles in the Junior age group.</p>
<p>The Portuguese Table Tennis Federation had invited 30 International Umpires to officiate at the 2017 Portugal Junior and Cadet Open.</p>
<p>An ITTF World Junior Circuit tournament, staged at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Guimarães, play commenced on Wednesday 22nd November and concluded on Saturday 25th November.</p>

<p class="summary">Paralympic Games gold medal winner in shooting Sareh Javanmard is going to sell her medal to raise money for the victims of Sunday&#8217;s earthquake which left at least 500 people dead in Iran.</p>
<p>The 7.3-magnitude quake struck in the remote border area between Iran and Iraq late Sunday.</p>
<p>As of right now, the earthquake has claimed over 500 lives, injured over 7,000, and has left thousands homeless and in need of support.</p>
<p>&#8220;I consider it my duty to take a small step to help my beloved fellow compatriots who have suffered as a result of the quake,&#8221; Javanmardi said.</p>
<p>Olympic weightlifting champion Kianoush Rostami had put his gold medal up for auction on Tuesday.</p>
<p>The multiple top Iranian athletes and sports celebrities are planning to give back similarly to Rostami at an event taking place on Wednesday.</p>

<p>India in playing host to Amateur Olympia series for the first time ever. On the opening day of the sportive event, Iran’s Classic Bodybuilding outfit, comprising eight members, collected six medals, including two gold, two silver and two bronze. In the overall Pro category, however, an Egyptian athlete won the title even though Iran had two representatives present in the section.</p>
<p>The competition continues today in the Physique and Bodybuilding sections.</p>
<p>The first edition of the Olympia Amateur India is a prestigious IFBB international event, an amateur version of the famous Mr. Olympia Pro competition, started by the inspirational concept &amp; vision of bodybuilding pioneer and promoter Joe Weider in 1965.</p>
<p>Beside traditional Men’s bodybuilding, the amateur version also includes categories like Bodybuilding (6 weight categories), Classic Bodybuilding (4 height categories), Men´s Physique (4 height categories), and Women´s Physique (2 height categories).</p>
<p>The 1st edition of the Olympia Amateur India is being competed from October 13th to 16th in the Indian city of Mumbai.</p>

<p><strong>Iranian visually-challenged and –impaired chess players have demonstrated impressive talents at the first edition of Asian Championship for Disabled, and managed to collect three gold medals at the continental sporting event.</strong></p>
<p>Seddigheh Sargazi participated in the tournament C contests for adults, and lifted the trophy following seven compelling rounds, the Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran website reported.</p>
<p>Amir Rabbi finished champion in the boys’ under-12 section, and received the gold medal.</p>
<p>Omid Karimi, another representative from the Islamic Republic of Iran, claimed the top position in the boys’ under-18 division.</p>
<p>The first edition of Asian Championship for Disabled kicked off in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 14, and wrapped up on September 22, 2017.</p>
<p>The tournament brought together more than 100 male and female chess players from 10 Asian countries, namely Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and one oceanic nation Australia.</p>
<p>The Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran had dispatched a six-member delegation, comprised of Seddigheh Sargazi, Amir Rabbi, Omid Karimi, Mohammad Dousti, Mohammad and Erfan Alizadeh, to the competitions.</p>
<p>Sadat Mansouri and Ma’soumeh Fallah Tafti managed the Iranian visually-challenged and –impaired chess players.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3 class="lead">TEHRAN  – Iranian sportsmen claimed four gold medals at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Ashgabat on Monday.</h3>

<p>Taekwondo fighters Mahdi Eshaghi in the Men’s -54kg and Mahdi Jalali in the Men’s -74kg claimed two gold medals. Fatemeh Madahi won the bronze medal in the Women&#8217;s -46kg.</p>
<p>Ju-jitsu fighter Masoud Jalilvand won a gold medal in the Men&#8217;s Ne-waza +94kg after beating his compatriot Masoud Hassanzadeh.</p>
<p>Iran’s Men&#8217;s Team Sprint also snared a gold medal in the competition.</p>
<p>Furthermore, Persian traditional wrestlers snatched one silver and five bronze medals.</p>
<p>Hamed Mirzapour in the Men&#8217;s Classic Style -90 kg claimed a silver medal.</p>
<p>Esmaeil Amiri (Men&#8217;s Freestyle -68 kg), Ghasem Dazi (Men&#8217;s Freestyle -75 kg), Habibollah Torabi (Men&#8217;s Freestyle -82 kg), Leila Siahvashi (Women&#8217;s Classic Style -52 kg) and Reyhaneh Sheikhian (Women&#8217;s Classic Style -58 kg) claimed five bronze medals.</p>
<p>The 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games kicked off in Turkmenistan’s capital, Ashgabat, on Saturday.</p>
<p>More than 6,000 athletes and team officials will be representing 65 countries.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="intro-text">TEHRAN– Esmaeil Amiri (68kg), Ghasem Dazi (75kg), and Habibollah Torabi (82kg) won bronze medals at traditional wrestling category of 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.</span></p>

<p>Habibollah Torabi who won his first game in the weight category of -82 kilogram, lost his semi-final event against a Turkman opponent to jointly bag the bronze medal in the category of traditional wrestling at 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.</p>
<p>The same destiny plagued the other Iranian wrestler Ghasem Dazi who overwhelmed his Uzbek rival 4-0 before conceding in the semi-final stage before another wrestler of the hosts, 4-0.</p>
<p>Esmaeil Amiri of the 68 kilogram class, the same way was defeated by a Turkmen rival at the semi-final stage to garner the third bronze medal of the field for Iran. A stage earlier he had defeated hi Uzbek rival 2-0.</p>
<p>The Iranian squad of traditional wrestlers is made up of Ghasem Norouzi (57kg), Hamid Bahrami (62kg), Esmaeil Amiri (68kg), Ghasem Dazi (75kg), Habib Torabi (82kg), Davoud Evazzadeh (90kg), Abdollah Iri (100kg) as well as Abdolvahed Mohammadi (+100kg).</p>
<p>Since September 16, the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games is underway in Turkmenistan‘s capital city of Ashgabat. The tournament is scheduled to wrap up on September 27.</p>

<p>The World Championships will kick off in Mexico City less than a month.</p>
<p>The world&#8217;s strongest Paralympian made history at Rio 2016 by breaking the 300kg barrier after lifting unprecedented 310kg in the men&#8217;s over 107kg.</p>
<p>With two Paralympic golds and one world title under his belt, Rahman is still hungry for further glory, Paralympic.org wrote.</p>
<p>This year, a record number of around 360 powerlifters coming from 65 countries are travelling to Mexico City to compete at the Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium in Mexico City, from September 30-October 6.</p>
