Hooman Afazeli Appointed Machine Sazi Coach

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Hooman Afazeli was named the new head coach of the Machine Sazi football team on Wednesday.

He replaced as Reza Mohajeri just two days after resigning as head coach of Pars Jonoubi.

Afazeli started his coaching career in Shahab Zanjan in 2001 and has coached Steel Azin, Saba Qom, and Naft Tehran.

He was also the head coach of the Iran U-23 football team in 2010.

Machine Sazi sits 11th in the Iran Professional League, five points above the relegation zone.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Reza Mohajeri stepped down as coach of Iran’s Machine Sazi football club on Monday.

He had been appointed as Machine Sazi coach two weeks ago but parted company with the Tabriz-based football club by mutual consent.

Under his leadership, Machine Sazi lost to Naft Masjed Soleyman and Persepolis.

Mohajeri was Machine Sazi’s third coach in the current season after Rasoul Khatibi and Ahad Sheikh Lari.

He has reportedly been linked with a move to Gol Gohar as Majid Jalali’s replacement.

The 25-year-old has joined the Tabriz-based football club on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Kakashvili, who has most recently played at Norchi Dinamo, was a member of Machine Sazi in the 2016-17 season.

He has also played in Iranian football club Gostaresh Foolad.

Rasoul Khatibi has been recently named the head coach of Machine Sazi.
