]]> TEHRAN (Iran News) – The spokesperson of Iran’s Health Ministry said on July 25 that another 195 Iranians have succumbed to death due to COVID-19 infection over the past 24 hours mounting the total number of death to 15,484.

According to Sima Sadat Lari, a total number of 2,316 new COVID-19 positive cases have been identified during the said period, and 1,298 of them were hospitalized, IRNA reported.

She noted that since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak in Iran  in February, a total of 288,839 Iranians have been confirmed infected with the fatal virus while 251,319 of them have recovered and were discharged from hospital.

Some 3,670 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and being treated in intensive care units, the spokeswoman said.

She added that 2,302,634 tests have so far been carried out in Iran.
