TEHRAN (Iran News) – General Mohammadreza Naghdi, the deputy coordinator of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, has said that the Westerners’ true nature has been shown in Gaza.

During the third edition of the global meeting of the underprivileged held at the Basij organization on Tuesday morning, Naghdi said the oppressed Palestinians have given “honor” to the Muslims.

According to General Naghdi, the child-killing regime of Israel has shown no mercy to civilians in Gaza and it has carried out “genocide” by killing the Gazans en masse.

He added the Israeli “war crimes” in the occupied territories are “painful” to all people, yet the resistance fighters will emerge “victorious” in the Gaza war.

“We are all responsible toward the oppressed Gazans,” added Naghdi, saying that Israeli “war crimes” have inflamed the feelings of the people worldwide who are ready to “punish” the criminals in the Gaza Strip.

Naghdi called the October 7 al-Aqsa Storm Operation a “turning point” which would lead to a new world order.

In his address to resistance groups, namely Hezbollah fighters, he also insisted that “operations” must be carried out in full, since the Tel Aviv regime does not recognize any limits for its war crimes.

Pointing to the hybrid war, he said media outlets carry a heavy burden on the shoulders to depict the brutalities of the criminals in the enclave.

In the end, he pointed out that the supporters of the Zionist regime must be held accountable for the crimes carried out in the besieged enclave.

Japan LDP Party Support Suga as PM: Poll

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Nearly 80 percent of 394 lawmakers from Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) back Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga in next week’s election, a Kyodo News survey showed on Wednesday.

Suga and former Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida as well as former Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba will contest for the party’s top position following Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s sudden announcement of resignation late last month citing ill health, Xinhua news agency reported.

The winner of the election is almost certain to become the next prime minister owing the LDP’s dominance in both chambers of Japan’s bicameral parliament. The new prime minister will be named at an extraordinary Diet session to be convened on Sept. 16.

Another survey also conducted by Kyodo News showed that Suga is the most popular choice to be the country’s next prime minister, who had the backing of 50.2 percent of those surveyed.

Meanwhile, the nationwide telephone poll found that 30.9 percent of respondents favored Ishiba, a rare critic of Abe’s administration within the party while support for Kishida stood at 8.0 percent.
