TEHRAN (Iran News) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the memory of Iran’s martyrs will continue to give hope and courage to future generations and inspire them to take firm steps toward lofty goals.

In a message released on Thursday on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week and the Day of Commemorating Martyrs and War Veterans, the Leader said passage of time can never consign the cherished memory of Iran’s dear martyrs to oblivion.

“This historical treasure will always give hope, determination and courage to (all) generations to take steps toward lofty goals firmly and steadfastly without fearing the enmity of the world’s evils …,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The Leader underlined that, God willing, it will help the front of justice and truth to achieve great victories.

Iran is observing the Sacred Defense Week on the 40th anniversary of the start of Iraq’s imposed war on the Islamic Republic.

The annual event honors those who sacrificed their lives during eight years of resistance against the invading forces loyal to dictator Saddam Hussein in the 1980s.

Ayatollah Khamenei Offers Condolences Over Shalah Death

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei expressed condolences over the passing away of former leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah Shalah.

In a message released on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei offered condolences to the Palestinian nation, all sympathizers of Palestine, the “devoted organization of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement”, and the family of Ramadan Abdullah Shalah on the loss of the “hard-working and resisting brother”.

“The Palestinian resistance current has lost a very sincere and valuable element,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei further expressed hope that God’s assistance and strenuous efforts of the competent successors following the path of figures like Fathi Shaqaqi and Ramadan Abdullah would compensate for the loss.

The former head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement died at age 62 in a hospital where he was receiving medical treatment.

Shalah was born in Gaza in 1958 and became the head of the movement in 1995 after the assassination of Fathi Shaqaqi.

Ziad al-Nakhala was chosen to lead the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in 2018 because of Shalah’s illness.

Leader: Iran to Support Nations, Groups Opposing Zionist Regime

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic Republic of Iran will “support and assist any nation or any group who opposes and fights the Zionist regime” of Israel.

“We will support and assist any nation or any group anywhere who opposes and fights the Zionist regime, and we do not hesitate to say this,” the Leader said in a tweet on Wednesday ahead of the International Quds Day.

In another tweet, the Leader said, “Comprehensive struggles by the Palestinian nation – political, military & cultural – should continue till the usurpers submit to the referendum for the Palestinian nation. This nation should determine what political system should rule there; struggle must continue until then”.

“A proposal for a referendum to choose the type of govt for the historical country of #Palestine was registered with the UN as offered by Iran. We say the true Palestinians with Palestinian roots of at least 100 years, and Palestinians living abroad, choose the govt of Palestine,” he said.

“Eliminating the Zionist regime doesn’t mean eliminating Jews. We aren’t against Jews. It means abolishing the imposed regime & Muslim, Christian & Jewish Palestinians choose their own govt & expel thugs like Netanyahu. This is ‘Eliminating Israel’ & it will happen,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a follow-up tweet.

“The Zionist regime has proven it won’t abide by any treaty & understands no logic except force. The nature of the Zionist regime is incompatible with peace because the Zionists seek to expand their territories & will certainly not be limited to what they have already occupied,” he said.

The International Quds Day is an annual worldwide event during which demonstrators express their solidarity with the Palestinian people and opposition to the occupation of the Palestinian territories by the Zionist regime of Israel.

The day is seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.

Leader: weak unity the root of Islamic world problems

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the cause of the current Islamic world problems is a result of the weakness of unity among Muslim countries.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in an address to the ambassadors of Muslim countries and participants of the 33rd Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, according to IRNA.

“Had Muslim countries maintained even the minimum levels of unity, we would not have so many plights in the Muslim world today,” the Leader said.

The Leader further stressed the need for Muslim communities, governments, ethnic groups, and sects to avoid harming each other, urging them to remain united against their common enemy.

“At higher levels, Islamic countries must join hands in science, wealth, security, and political power and strive to achieve a modern Islamic civilization,” he said, adding the Islamic Republic of Iran considers this as its ultimate goal.

He described the issue of Palestine as the biggest plight of the Muslim world which has displaced a nation from its home and underlined the significance of unity among Muslim nations in resolving Islamic world problems.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran’s stance on the issue of Palestine is a principled and definitive one, stressing that Tehran will keep helping the Palestinians with no reservation, and calls on other Muslim countries to follow suit.

“Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution to this day, we have remained in this position – meaning we have helped and will continue to help Palestine and the Palestinians without any consideration and we view this the duty of the whole Islamic world,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the enemies’ efforts to “distort” pronouncements by the late Father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and Iranian officials about the elimination of Israel.

“We are in favor of Palestine and its independence and salvation, but the elimination of Israel does not mean the elimination of the Jewish people, because we have nothing to do with them, as a number of Jews live safely in our country.

“The elimination of Israel means the elimination of the fake Zionist regime and that the Palestinian people, be they Muslim, Christian or Jewish who are the main owners of that land, should be able to choose their government,” the Leader said.

They should also be able to “kick out outsiders and thugs like [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and run their country, which of course will happen,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

Israel, US hostile to all Muslim states

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader said the US, Israel, and enemies of Muslim unity are hostile to all Islamic countries, 9iii

“The nature of Islam is based on the rejection of tyranny, arrogance, and hegemony; therefore, they are opposed to Islam and all Muslim states in principle,” he said, rejecting the notion that they are only hostile to Iran.

The Leader pointed to insulting remarks by US leaders about the Saudis, saying Washington has shown its clear hostility toward Saudi Arabia and its nation by expressing its intention to loot the kingdom.

“When they are explicitly saying that the Saudis have nothing but money? They mean ‘we must go and rob them’. This is open hostility with a country and nation and their opposite sides must understand what their duty is against such insults in view of their Arab zeal and Islamic dignity.”

Ayatollah Khamenei further cited the US presence in the region as a source of trouble, corruption, insecurity, and the formation of such groups as ISIS, and stressed the need for Muslim nations to get familiar with Washington’s “true and hypocritical face”.

The Leader warned that the US’ main weapon today is infiltrating sensitive centers, creating division among nations, creating mistrust among governments and people, and implying that giving in to Washington is the only way to resolve Islamic world problems.

“This weapon is even more dangerous than military and hard weapons,” he warned, stating that the way to confront the enemies is to obey God’s command of resisting on the path of righteousness.

“Of course, this resistance will have hardships, but enduring these hardships is a righteous act and will be rewarded by God. Moreover, giving in to the enemy will have more hardships, and God will punish those who give in to oppression.”

‘US provokes warmongering, massacre among fellow Muslims’

Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei issued a message on Monday to the Hajj pilgrims, stressing that “US incites the Muslims to fight against each other.”

The full message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful,

All Praise is due to Allah, and greetings upon His Messenger Al-Mustafa and upon his pure and righteous household, and the best of his companions

Allah the Elevated said: “Call people for hajj — an act of worship accomplished by visiting the sacred sites in Mecca.” They will come on foot and on lean camels from all the distant quarters. To see their benefits, commemorate the name of God during the appointed days…” {Quran: 22: 27&28}

This heavenly chant still calls to hearts, inviting humanity beyond centuries and eras to gather around the pivot of monotheism. All human beings are addressed by this Abrahamic call and dignified by it; although, in some corners they may not hear it; or some hearts, under the cover of ignorance and negligence, are deprived of it; or even though some do not prepare their hearts to be qualified for entering this ever-lasting, global feast, for any reason, they are not granted the opportunity.

Now you have enjoyed this blessing and have stepped into the security arena of the divine reception. Arafat, Mash’ar, Mina, Safa, Marwa, and bait, Al-Haram Mosque or The Prophet’s Mosque, every single part of these locations and rituals represents a link of the chain of spirituality and soul elevation for a pilgrim who knows the value of this opportunity and takes advantage of it for purifying themselves and stocking up [on spirituality] for the rest of their lives.

The important point that makes any thoughtful individual curious and sensitive is the appointment of a permanent meeting place for all people and all the generations throughout the years, in a specific place, and a determined limited time period. This unique time and place are one of the main secrets of Hajj.

No doubt, one of the best instances for “to see their benefits” {Quran: 22:27} is this annual meeting of all the communities of the Islamic Ummah around God’s house. This is the key to the Islamic Union, and the symbol of Islam’s formation of the Ummah, which is to be under the protection of God’s house. God’s house belongs to all: “The Sacred Mosque — which We have made for those who dwell nearby and foreigners alike,” {Quran: 22: 25}

Hajj, in this specified place, and in this time period, always and throughout years, calls the Muslims to solidarity and union through an articulate language and clear logic.

And this is the opposite of what the enemies of Islam aspire to do: inciting the Muslims to fight against each other at all times and, especially, during the present time. Look at the behavior of the arrogant and criminal US today. Its essential policy against Islam and the Muslims is warmongering. Its desire and vicious efforts aim at killing Muslims by other Muslims: causing some oppressive groups to attack some oppressed ones, supporting the front of the oppressors, suppressing the oppressed front through it, and always fueling this appalling conspiracy.

Muslims should be aware and nullify this satanic policy. Hajj prepares the grounds for this awareness, and this represents the philosophy of declaring repudiation to pagans and arrogant powers during Hajj.

Remembrance of God represents the spirit of Hajj. In all circumstances, let’s revive and gratify our hearts with this rain of blessings; and deepen in our hearts reliance and trust in Him, who is the source of power, glory, justice, and beauties. We will overcome the enemy’s ploy in this manner. Dear Hajj pilgrims, do not forget to pray for the Islamic Ummah, the oppressed people in Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Yemen, Bahrain, Libya, Pakistan, Kashmir and Myanmar and other parts of the world, ask Allah to cut the hands of the US and other arrogant powers, and their supporters.

May God’s peace and mercy be upon you,

Leader receives judiciary head, officials on Judiciary Week

Ayatollah Khamenei received here on Wednesday Iranian Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, judiciary officials and director generals of justicedepartments across Iran on the occasion of Judiciary Week and the martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti along with his 72 colleagues who were martyred at the terrorist bomb blast in 1981. Ayatollah Beheshti served as head of the Judiciary in the early months after the victory of the Islamic revolution.

Mohammad Dehghan told Mehr News correspondent on Monday that members of Iranian Parliament will meet with the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei on June 20.

Ali Larijani, as the Parliament’s speaker, will present the Leader with a report on the performance of the second year of the 10th Islamic Consultative Assembly, as per the norm in previous meetings held between MPs and the Iranian Leader.

Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Friday that Zionist regime will be uprooted surely with the efforts of Muslim nations.

He made the above remark in the presence of a group of officials, Islamic countries’ ambassadors and people from different walks of life on the occasion of advent of Eid al-Fitr.

The problem of the Zionist regime is illegitimacy, he said, adding, “a regime which was founded based on falsehood will surely be annihilated with the efforts of all Muslim nations.”

The Leader pointed to the unity, amity and removal of disputes as one of the most important factors of dignity of the Islamic community and Ummah and said, “Zionist regime is the main cause of discord and difference in the region and among Islamic nations.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader pointed out that sowing seeds of discord and spread of rift among Muslims is the main policy of global arrogance in the region, adding, “the only way to confront malicious objectives of US and Zionist regime is to identify and recognize the emery’s plot and stand against it firmly.”

At the current situation, enemy lacks experience and rationality, he said, adding, “for this purpoise, the enemy has decided to contravene all of its regional and international commitments.”

Prior to the Leader’s remarks, President Rouhani said, “under the current circumstances, the government needs establishment of unity and amity among themselves more than before and called on the noble people of the country to cooperate with the government in materializing most of its objectives.”
