										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) – The Spokesman of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said that foreign trade of the country in the Iranian month of Shahrivar (from August 21 to Sept. 21) doubled as compared to the same period of last year.</p>
<p>Seyed Rouhollah Latifi broke the news on Sat. and stated that 19,841,000 tons of non-oil goods, were exchanged between the Islamic Republic of Iran and world countries from August 21 to Sept. 21, showing a 135 and 98 percent hike in terms of weight and value respectively.</p>
<p>He went on to say that Iran’s export of products in the Iranian month of Shahrivar registered a 103 and 25 percent hike in terms of weight and value respectively.</p>
<p>Turning to the destination of Iranian goods in the Iranian month of Shahrivar (Sept. 21), the Republic of Turkey imported 5,839,000 tons of non-oil products, value at $1.202 billion, from August 21 to Sept. 21, showing a 1,512 and 553 percent growth in terms of value and weight respectively.</p>
<p>In this period, 1,129,000 tons of foreign-made goods have passed from Iranian land and territory, registering a 16 percent hike as compared to a month earlier, Latifi added.</p>
<p>He added that 19.841 million tons of goods have been traded between Iran and other states within the Iranian calendar month of Shahrivar (August 23-September 22), showing a 135-percent increase in terms of weight and a 98-percent boost in terms of value in comparison to the previous Iranian month of Mordad (July 23 to August 22).</p>
<p>The country&#8217;s export volume stood at 14.522 million tons with the value of 4.145 billion dollars, which increased 75 and 56 percent in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the same period in last Iranian year, he added.</p>
<p>Iran&#8217;s exports also increased in Shahrivar comparing to Mordad by 103 and 25 percent in terms of weight and value respectively, the official noted.</p>
<p>Pointing to export destinations of Iranian commodities, he said, Turkey was the first importer with 5.839 million tons of goods with a value of 1.202 billion dollars, showing 512 and 533 percent in terms of weight and value respectively in comparison to the previous month.</p>

<p>Iraq stood the second importer of Iranian goods with 1.863 million tons worth 677 million dollars, followed by China, the United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan, which were the third to fifth biggest importers of Iranian commodities in that period, he said.</p>
<p>As to transit of goods through Iran in the sixth month of the Iranian calendar year, Latifi said that 1.129 million tons of foreign shipments were transited through the country, showing a 16-percent increase comparing to Mordad and a 63-percent increase in comparison to Shahrivar last Iranian year.</p>
<p>According to IRNA, Iran&#8217;s foreign trade volume stood at 79.1 million tons, worth 45 billion dollars, in first half of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2021 to September 22, 2021).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) – Iran’s trade with the members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) reached $4.976 billion in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22) to register a 38 percent increase year on year, the spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said.</p>
<p>According to Rouhollah Latfi, the volume of trade with the mentioned countries also increased by eight percent in comparison to the previous year’s same five months, IRNA reported.</p>
<p>As reported, during the mentioned five months Iran traded over 7,944,322 tons of commodities with ECO member countries including Turkey, Afghanistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.</p>
<p>Iran exported 6,107,311 tons of commodities worth over $2.953 billion to the said nations in the mentioned period.</p>
<p>He said major export destinations of the Iranian goods in the said union were Turkey with about $1.106 billion of imports, Afghanistan with $855 million, Pakistan with $421 million, Uzbekistan with $174 million, and Azerbaijan with $161 million.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the country imported 1,837,011 tons of goods valued at over $2.014 billion from the ECO member countries, with Turkey, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan being the top sources of imported goods.</p>
<p>According to Latifi, more than 23.723 million tons of goods worth $11.71 billion were traded between Iran and the ECO member countries during the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20), of which the share of exports was 18.419 million tons of goods worth $6.890 billion and the share of imports from these countries was 5.312 million tons worth $4.819 billion.</p>
<p>The value of Iran’s total non-oil trade during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year stood at $34 billion, which indicates a 38-percent growth in terms of value and 14 percent growth in terms of weight as compared to the previous year’s same time span.</p>
<p>The Economic Cooperation Organization or ECO is an Asian political and economic intergovernmental organization that was founded in 1985 in Tehran by the leaders of Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey.</p>

Spokesperson for Iran’s Customs Office says in the last month of Iranian calendar year Mordad (July 23-August20), over 8.452m tons of goods worth $5.378 have been traded between Iran and other countries and the country’s non-oil trade in the same period shows positive trade balance of 1.263b.</p>
<p>Ruhollah Latifi said that the trade between Iran and the world last month stood at 8.452m tons worth $5.378b as Iran’s exports stood at $3.323b and its imports in the same period were around $2.05b.</p>
<p>He added that the data shows that Iran’s exports last month without any decline faced 9.5 percent growth in terms of weight and 54 percent in terms of value. He admitted that the country’s exports in the preceding month of Tir faced 14 percent decline in weight and 9 percent in value.</p>
<p>Latifi reiterated that China was the top destination for Iran’s exports last month by importing 2.436m tons of goods worth $1.505b from Iran which shows 12 percent fall in weight and 20 percent growth in value.</p>
<p>He also said that exports to Iraq last month faced 18 percent decline in weight and 27 percent in value comparing to the preceding year as the country has purchased 1.083m tons of goods worth $346m from Iran.</p>
<p>The UAE with importing goods worth $285m, Turkey with $184m and Afghanistan with $127m have been among the other top destinations for Iran’s exports in the past month.</p>
<p>On the volume and details of imports, he said the imports fell by 36 percent in weight and 26 percent in value last month but comparing to the preceding month of Tir, it faced 68 percent decline in weight and 53 percent in value.</p>
<p>He said China was the major exporting country to Iran last month by exporting 127,000 tons of goods worth $476m which shows 62 percent decline in weight and 56 percent in value. Turkey, Germany and Switzerland were the other top exporters to Iran in the past month.</p>
<p>On the transit of goods in month of Mordad, Latifi said some 974,000 tons of goods were transited which showed 94 percent growth.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) –  Non-Oil Exports Rise over 27% Yr/Yr. The value of Iran’s non-oil exports stood at $3.352 billion in the second month of the current Iranian calendar year (April 21-May 21) to register a 27.5-percent rise compared to the same month in the previous year, the spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced.</p>
<p>According to Ruhollah Latifi, Iran exported 8.579 million tons of non-oil commodities to foreign destinations in the mentioned month, IRNA reported.</p>
<p>The country’s non-oil exports in the said month also increased by 3.3 percent and 13 percent in terms of weight and value, respectively, compared to the previous month, the official stated.</p>
<p>Latifi put the value of the country’s total non-oil trade in the mentioned month at $7.83 billion.</p>
<p>Some 11.9 million tons of such goods were traded in the period under review, of which 3.321 million tons were imports, according to the official. The value of the imported goods stood at $3.731 billion, he stated.</p>
<p>Among the country’s non-oil export destinations, China was the first, importing $1.089 billion worth of products from Iran, Iraq was the second importing $525 million, the United Arab Emirates the third importing $432 million, Turkey the fourth importing $211 million, and Afghanistan the fifth importing $190 million, Latifi announced.</p>
<p>He further named Iran’s top sources of non-oil imports in the said time, as the UAE with $1.055 billion worth of exports to Iran, China with $832 million, Turkey with $395 million, Switzerland with $227 million, and Germany with $171 million, respectively.</p>
<p>The value of Iran’s non-oil exports reached $6.3 billion in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21), up 48 percent compared to the last year’s same period.</p>
<p>Iran exported 16.9 million tons of non-oil commodities including gasoline, polyethylene, methanol, iron, and steel ingots and steel products to foreign destinations in the mentioned two months, according to IRICA Head Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, some 5.3 million tons of goods valued at $6.5 billion were also imported into the country in the said period to register a 26.5-percent rise compared to the last year’s same two months.</p>
