]]> TEHRAN – Iranian director Ahmad Zayeri’s “Saad’s Olive Tree” has won two honors at the 14th edition of the Kinofilm Festival-Manchester International Short Film and Animation Festival in the UK.

The film brought Zayeri second prize for best director and it also received an honorable mention in the international short film competition.

“Saad’s Olive Tree” tells the story of a Syrian child who lost his sight in a mortar explosion. The child imprisons himself at home while his mother and the neighbors try to give him some hope.
