Blasts in Khatam-al Anbiya construction HQ are False

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The Public Relations Department of Khatam-al Anbiya Construction Headquarters, in a statement on Tuesday, denied the recent news reporting blasts in its HQ.

All the sites and bases of Khatam-al Anbiya across the country are safe and in full peace, it said and the report of blasts and explosion are false.

The statement added, “while the US and its allies have imposed an economic war against Iran through sanctioning the country to make Iranians desperate, Khatam-al Anbiya Construction HQ is running above 285 development projects not to let enemies put a spanner in the wheel of Iran’s construction.”

Some reports said earlier on Tuesday that some protesters detonated an explosion at the entrance to the headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters in Tehran.

No power able to manage possible war in an area of 8 million km2: cmdr

“The fate of a possible war will be determined by the extent of the conflict’s area and time. Geographical management of the war in a land which spans 8 million km2 is not proportional to capacities of any power for starting and ending a war,” Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, the commander of the IRGC’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, said Monday while addressing commanders of IRGC Aerospace Force.

“The history of wars in western Asia during the past four decades show that human and material losses for war initiators including Saddam [Hussein], America, the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia, were the result of their mistakes in calculations and decision-making. Lengthening and expansion of wars, too, happened due to other factors which couldn’t be calculated,” he added.

The commander went on to say that it is the “the ability to manage the war in wide geographical regions in an extended time” which will determine the fate of war, not “the destruction power” of involved parties.

Tensions in the region erupted after US implemented a series of hostile policies on Iran, namely withdrawal from the nuclear deal, re-imposition of economic sanctions, deploying forces in the region, and designating IRGC as a foreign terrorist organization among others. Tehran says it doesn’t look for war but also stresses that it will strongly defend against any possible threats.

Senior cmdr. urges US to ‘behave responsibly to save lives of its forces’

“US administration should refrain from adopting wrong policies in the region and instead, behave responsibly to save the lives of American forces,” he said Sunday while visiting Khatam al-Anbiya’s headquarters for radar and missile systems.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is engaged in a strategic confrontation with the US-Zionist-Saudi coalition over maintaining stability and also the position of regional power,” he said.

Iran doesn’t seek war but is ready to strongly defend the country against any threat and aggression, he said, adding, “if a conflict occurs in the region, its duration and extent cannot be managed by any country.”

“Regional countries’ interests are interconnected and it’s not possible to portion out war and peace. Either we all move on the path of stability or the [whole] region will be plunged into war and instability due to [both] US’s interventionist policies and the provocations of certain countries.”

Tensions grew between Tehran and Washington when a US spy drone intruded into Iranian airspace on Thursday and was then brought down by IRGC air defense systems.

“Words are not enough to prevent a war; appropriate behavior and resolve are required,” added the commander.

War against Iran to harm whole region: IRGC cmdr.

“We expect the neighboring countries to refrain from acting in accordance with US’ and Israelis’ interests, which are only meant to wage war and create tension in the region… because it would cost all people and harm the lives of everybody in the region,” Major General Rashid said on Wednesday.

The senior commander added that “we do not welcome any war in the region, because it is definitely for the benefit of the United States and the Zionist regime, but we are always ready to stand against any aggressor, and we will defeat them with the help of God.”

Reiterating that the Islamic Republic always believes in peaceful co-existence with its neighbors, General Rashid said, “we always strive for this goal, otherwise the US and the occupying regime will put the region through crises and unpredictable incidents.”

He added that the eight-year Iraq-Iraq war (1980-88) has shown that “if we do not strive to maintain enough power, we will be invaded; we will defend the interests of our people so that the life of our nation can be well protected.”
