Meskini and Florian Haas jointly won bronze medals.

The Cairo 2025 has brought 376 athletes from 65 countries together in Egypt’s capital.

The Karate1 Premier League Cairo 2025 is being held in Cairo, Egypt from April 18 to 20.

TEHRAN (Iran News)  Iran’s fighters have secured the first rank at 2025 Karate1 Series A in Larnaca, Cyprus.

Three Iranian athletes–two women and one man–won gold medals in the event, which took place from February 14 to 16.

Fatemeh Sadeghi earned her gold by defeating Japanese competitor Sasara Eguchi in female kata, while Fatemeh Saadati triumphed over Ruan Mukai from Japan with a score of 5-2 in female Kumite. “Iranian athletes ”

Additionally, Morteza Ne’mati emerged victorious over his Russian opponent and claimed a gold medal.

Over 1,100 athletes from 86 countries competed at the event.

According To Iran News,Iranian Karateka Hamideh Abbasali underwent successful knee surgery on Thursday.

She underwent successful surgery on her torn ACL in Germany’s Hannover.

Abbasali was injured in the final bout of -68kg category in Karate 1-Premier League in Salzburg against Italy’s Clio Ferracuti.

She was rushed to a hospital after the game ended with a 2-1 win for her. The injury sparked fears that Abbasali might miss the upcoming 2020 Olympics.

Now, Dr. Babak Zargar Amini has said Abbasali will be ready for the Olympics after the successful surgery.

According To Iran News, Bahman Askari from Iran claimed a gold medal at the Karate 1-Premier League Salzburg on Sunday.

He defeated Stanislav Horuna from Ukraine 3-0 in the Male Kumite -75kg final.

Askari had previously defeated his rivals from Australia, Finland, England and Turkey.

Over 600 competitors from 88 countries compete at the 2020 Karate 1-Premier League Salzburg. This tally represents a considerable increase with the previous event since 513 competitors from 79 countries took part in the Karate 1-Premier League Dubai.

The tournament started on Friday and the finals are slated for Sunday, March 1.

According To Iran News, Shima Alesaadi from Iran won a silver medal at the the Karate 1-Premier League event in Dubai on Sunday.

Alesaadi, who had defeated her rivals from France, Spain, Egypt, Ukraine and Slovakia, lost to Xiaoyan Yin from China 3-1 in the final match of the women’s under-60 kilogram kumite.

The event in Dubai is one of the last competitions before the Olympic qualification process ends on April 6.

Nearly 600 fighters from 85 countries have registered, including all but two of the reigning world champions and 10 out of the 12 defending Premier League grand winners.

The Iranian athlete defeated his rivals from Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Mahdi Khodabakhshi from Iran in the men’s under-84 kilogram kumite.

He will meet Daniyar Yuldashev from Kazakhstan in the final match on Sunday.

Abazari beat his Saudi Arabian rival Tareg Hamedi 3-0 in the Male Kumite +84kg third-placed match.

More than 700 competitors from 92 countries took part at the three-day event in Paris, France.

The competition also served as qualification event of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Mehdizadeh defeated Turkey’s Ozer Omer Abdurrahim in the Male Kumite -67 Kg final.

Ganjzadeh also defeated French karate athlete Jacquet Dnylson 4-0 in the Male Kumite +84kg.

Iranian fighters Hamideh Abbasali and Salah Abazari had previously claimed two bronze medals in the event.

Abbasali had defeated Japan’s Saito Ayaka at the Female Kumite +68 Kg bronze medal match and Abazari defeated his compatriot Mahdi Ashouri in the Male Kumite +84 Kg third-place match.

According To Iran News, Ex-Iran karate practitioner Hossein Rouhani has been named the new coach of Russia national karate team.

He will take charge of the Russian team until after the 2020 Olympic Games.

Rouhani, 36, won a gold medal at the 2006 World Championship in Tampere and also claimed a gold at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha.

Karate will make its debut appearance at the Summer Olympics in 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.

Olympic karate will feature two events, Kumite and Kata. Sixty competitors from around the world will compete in the Kumite competition and twenty will compete in the Kata competition.
