TEHRAN (Iran News) –The head of the Iran Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) has said that Jask Oil Terminal, as a national and strategic project under the management of IOTC in the Sea of Oman, guarantees the continuation of crude oil exports, decentralization in the field of oil exports, and increased bargaining power and job creation.

According to IOTC, Abbas Gharibi visited the Jask Oil Terminal along with a group of managers to check the status of the project.

During this visit, he said: “IOTC operates as a specialized and professional company in the fields of receiving, storing, measuring, exporting and importing crude oil, gas condensates, and marine services.”

“This company, with its operational capacity, experience, and expertise of its professional staff, is able to carry out berthing and separation operations of huge oil tankers throughout the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea in order to export Iran’s crude oil and gas condensate based on the policies instructed by NIOC,” the IOTC head stated:

Iran, due to its location in the strategic region of West Asia, has always been considered the highway of energy production and distribution in the world, he went on to say.

“The Ministry of Petroleum in the Oman Sea and Jask export terminal makes good use of this potential geopolitical capacity to export oil from the shortest route to deliver it to customers,” Gharibi added.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The construction of the offshore oil pipeline of the Jask crude oil export terminal has been completed, the operator of Jask oil terminal project in southern Iran announced.

According to Vahid Maleki, with the completion of the shore pooling operation of the sixth line of the terminal’s offshore pipeline which connects the terminal to its third single point mooring (SPM), the project’s pipeline was fully implemented and completed with a total length of 45 kilometers, the portal of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) reported on Saturday.

The official noted that if the development plans for the terminal are pursued by the new government as scheduled, the second phase of the terminal’s development project can be implemented as soon as late September.

The construction of the Jask oil terminal’s second pipeline was started immediately after the completion of the first pipeline in late January.

As the country’s second major oil terminal, Jask terminal is under development by POGC on 60 hectares of land and with nearly €260 million of investment.

In line with the development of the mentioned oil terminal, a pipeline project, dubbed the Goreh-Jask oil transfer project, was also constructed. This project has provided Iran with an alternative route for the country’s crude oil exports that are currently carried out through the Strait of Hormuz.

In late July, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani officially ordered the inauguration of the strategic crude oil transfer project through which the country will bypass the Strait of Hurmuz and cut reliance on the chokepoint for its oil trades in the future.

According to the former Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, the new pipeline plays an important role in the Iranian oil industry as the country has officially commenced the export of crude oil from the Makran region.

The pipeline project has currently a capacity of transferring 300,000 bpd and this capacity will gradually increase to one million barrels in the near future.

Constructed with about $2 billion of investment, Goreh-Jask project also aims to ensure continued oil exports, decentralization of export terminals and diversification of oil export centers, sustainable development, and job creation on the shores of Makran.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran starts oil export from Jask terminal. Iran started pumping oil into Goreh-Jask strategic pipeline on Thursday. The project was officially inaugurated by a direct order from President Hassan Rouhani via videoconference.

The national and strategic project for the transfer of crude oil from Goreh in southwestern Bushehr province to Jask terminal in southern Hormozgan province, with the support and leadership of the Ministry of Oil and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) was implemented benefiting from the highest domestic capabilities.

Goreh-Jask pipeline project is going to provide Iran with an alternative route for the country’s crude oil exports that are currently carried out through the Strait of Hormuz. The pipeline will open a new gate for Iranian oil to the Indian Ocean by transferring it from Goreh in Bushehr Province to Jask on the shores of Oman Gulf.

Implementation of this project took place with about $2 billion investment, and with the aim of creating a daily export capacity of one million barrels of crude oil through the new Jask terminal, ensuring continued oil exports, decentralization of export terminals and diversification of oil export centers, sustainable development and job creation on the shores of Makran, where a capacity of 300,000 barrels of oil (per day) has been provided so far, and this capacity will gradually increase to one million barrels in the near future.

The share of more than 90 percent of domestic manufacturing and maximum use of the power of Iranian contractors and manufacturers is one of the most important features of this national plan; 250 contractors and domestic manufacturers have participated in the project’s implementation and by relying on domestic capabilities, the equipment and goods required for the project were manufactured domestically for the first time in the country.

Another notable feature that stands out in this national plan is building about 1,000 kilometers of crude oil transmission pipeline and putting it into operation in less than two years, with full reliance on domestic capabilities.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Jask oil terminal, in southern Iran, is ready to receive crude oil from the Gulf of Oman, the managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) stated.

Announcing the 98-percent progress in the project of constructing the terminal, Mohammad Meshkinfam said Jask terminal is prepared for receiving, loading, and transferring crude oil via the single point mooring (SPM) export facility.

Making the remarks while visiting the stages of the project for constructing the terminal, Meshkinfam said, “Due to the experience and expertise in the implementation of offshore projects, the construction of this oil terminal was entrusted to Pars Oil and Gas Company, and fortunately, with the unremitting efforts of my colleagues, this project has achieved considerable progress.”

As the country’s second major oil terminal, Jask terminal is under construction by POGC on 60 hectares of land and with nearly €260 million of investment.

In line with the development of the mentioned oil terminal, a pipeline project, dubbed the Goreh-Jask oil transfer project, is also underway which is going to provide Iran with an alternative route for the country’s crude oil exports that are currently carried out through the Strait of Hormuz.

Last week, the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) announced the beginning of oil transfer operation through Goreh-Jask pipeline which is laid from Goreh oil terminal in the southwestern Bushehr Province to Jask oil terminal along the Gulf of Oman.

Stating that the Goreh-Jask oil transfer project is currently the largest project in Iran’s oil industry, Masoud Karbasian said: “Production of transmission valves, electric pumps, laying a thousand kilometers of pipeline along with the construction of storage tanks, terminals and the single point mooring (SPM) in Jask port using domestic capacities shows the national determination for completing this great and strategic project.”

According to the official, the Goreh-Jask project, due to its high sensitivity, has gone through several additional tests in various stages to make sure that the project will be completed without any defects and with the best quality.

He further noted that it will take less than a month for the pumped oil to reach Jask oil terminal and then the project will be officially inaugurated by President Hassan Rouhani.

Goreh-Jask project, which is aimed at expanding the oil transport capacity in the south of the country to one million barrels a day, was started in late June 2020.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The first phase of Iran’s key oil terminal in Jask region on the Sea of Oman will become operational by March 2021, said a project contractor on Tuesday, as the country presses ahead with plans to allow crude exports outside the Strain of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.

According to Vahid Maleki, the planned roll-out at the end of the current Iranian calendar year for the Jask oil terminal would include a metering system, two 36-inch pipelines, marine manifold and a single point mooring (SPM) facility, Press TV reported.

Iran began work on Jask oil terminal and a 1000-kilometer pipeline system connecting it to the Goureh region in southwestern province of Bushehr in late June.

The $2-billion project will enable Iran to deliver oil for exports outside the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway through which nearly a third of the global seaborne oil trade is accommodated.

More than 4,000 people have been recruited for the construction of massive project which is fully financed by the Iranian government.

Maleki said construction and engineering teams were almost through on 35 percent of the work on the pipeline and the oil export terminal in Jask, adding that the project would go ahead as planned in the upcoming months until it fully comes on line by March.

“Currently, some 150 units of light and heavy machinery are busy working on the executive side and some 900,000 cubic meters of earthworks has been carried out as part of plans for the early rollout of the project,” the contractor was quoted as saying in a report by the Pars Oil & Gas Company, which is in charge of the project.
