TEHRAN (Iran News) The group said in a statement on Monday that Atwi Atwi was abducted by Israeli forces after they raided his home overnight in the town of Habbariyeh, southern Lebanon.

Atwi was forcibly taken to an undisclosed location after Israeli soldiers assaulted his family during the raid, the group said, holding the regime “responsible for any harm that may befall him,” according to the statement carried by Israeli media.

The statement also described the kidnapping as part of ongoing Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty, saying that the abduction aimed to intimidate local residents and pressure them to abandon their lands.

The Islamic Group called on the Lebanese government to press parties monitoring the ongoing ceasefire to secure Atwi’s release and to halt all Israeli incursions into Lebanon.

The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon came into force in late November 2024 to stop months-long clashes that had later expanded into intense airstrikes on areas across Lebanon, including the capital Beirut. Israel, however, has violated the ceasefire on a daily basis, conducting attacks on Lebanon, particularly the south. The ceasefire was mediated by France and the United States.

New Israeli legislation against UN refugee agency ‘outrageous’: UNRWA chief

TEHRAN (Iran News) “Yesterday’s vote by the Israeli parliament passing new legislation against UNRWA is outrageous,” Lazzarini wrote on his official X account on Tuesday, calling the move “a direct affront to the mandate granted to the Agency by the UN General Assembly and contrary to findings of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which oblige Israel to fulfil its responsibilities as a UN member.”

He warned that the law grants the Israeli authority “to expropriate UN properties in East Jerusalem, including UNRWA’s headquarters and its main vocational training center,” in clear violation of the Israel’s obligations under international law.

Stating that the new legislation is a further blow to the multilateral system, the UNRWA chief called it “part of an ongoing, and systematic campaign to discredit the refugee agency and obstruct the core role it plays in providing human-development assistance and services to Palestine refugees.”

The Israeli parliament approved the bill in the second and third readings on Monday, in a move to pile up pressure on UNRWA at the time when the Palestinians’ need for UN services has increased more than ever after two years of Israeli genocidal war.

The regime banned UNRWA from operating in the occupied Palestinian territories in October 2024, over unfounded claims that some of its employees had participated in Al-Aqsa Storm, a Hamas operation that Israel made a pretext to launch a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip with the support of the United States.

The ban continued despite UNRWA’s denial of Israeli claims, and the UN affirmation of the organization’s commitment to neutrality.

Meanwhile, Jordan slammed the new Israeli legislation against UNRWA, calling it an attempt by the occupiers to violate the rights of Palestinian refugees.

In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said that the Knesset’s approval of a law targeting the structure and functioning of UNRWA and weakening its ability to provide services is a clear violation of the immunity of UN-affiliated institutions and discredit of international law.

TEHRAN (Iran News) In a statement released on Sunday, the OIC described the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in the besieged coastal strip as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

It called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to put an end to Israeli crimes and violations by establishing a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire, ensuring adequate and unhindered access for humanitarian aid, and the withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza.

The 47-member body, known to be the collective voice of the Muslim world with its headquarters in Jeddah, also stressed the need for activating international criminal justice mechanisms to prosecute and hold accountable Israeli officials involved in these heinous crimes.

Last Friday evening, Israeli forces shelled a school-turned-shelter in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, leaving seven Palestinians dead and several others injured.

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas described the massacre as a “clear and new violation” of the truce agreement. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, some 400 Palestinians have been killed and over one thousand wounded in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire went into effect in October.

TEHRAN (Iran News) In an interview with the Lebanese Al Mayadeen TV network on Saturday, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi commented on the anticipated visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United States and the regime’s escalating rhetoric against Iran. He said the Israeli regime is facing serious and evident challenges and has failed to achieve its objectives.

Vahidi emphasized that Israel has not succeeded in realizing any of its goals in the June aggression against Iran. He added that Tehran is carefully tracking all developments and assessing the situation with full awareness.

The commander also said that Israeli officials are attempting to project an image that differs from reality in order to conceal their vulnerabilities. This is being pursued through media and psychological warfare aimed at Iran, he said.

Vahidi noted that Israeli claims and propaganda would not yield tangible results.

He further stated that Israel is increasingly isolated on the international stage and is making futile efforts to overcome its current dilemma.

According to Al Mayadeen, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) had previously announced that the Israeli military managed to destroy less than three percent of Iran’s missile launch platforms, adding that the Islamic Republic’s missile capabilities remain operational and ready.

World Must Act Decisively to End Israeli Genocide and Uphold Dignity of Victims

TEHRAN (Iran News) In his address on Tuesday, local time, the senior Iranian diplomat reaffirmed Iran’s highest-level commitment to combating genocide and preventing its recurrence. “As one of the co-sponsors of the UN General Assembly resolution establishing this day, we pay tribute to the dignity of all victims whose suffering compels the international community to act with moral clarity and conviction,” Iravani said.

He stressed that preventing genocide is not merely an aspirational goal but a binding obligation enshrined in international law and a profound duty to humanity. “It is our collective responsibility to prevent genocide wherever and whenever threats arise, and to ensure that perpetrators are held accountable,” Iravani emphasized. He further highlighted that all UN member states have a universal obligation to prevent and punish genocide and must refrain from any assistance or complicity in such crimes. “The prohibition against genocide is a peremptory norm of international law—no state has the right to ignore, weaken, or selectively apply it. Justice must be relentlessly pursued, as impunity only perpetuates further atrocities,” he said.

Iravani also praised the work of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, which has produced deeply concerning findings regarding Israeli actions in Gaza, some of which have been assessed as falling within the threshold of genocide.

The Iranian envoy condemned Israel for repeatedly and openly challenging international law and violating humanitarian and human rights norms in ways thoroughly documented by UN mechanisms. He cited the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which recognized the actions against the Palestinian people in Gaza as genocide. Iravani detailed that Israeli military operations have resulted in unprecedented civilian casualties, systematic destruction of health and education systems, imposition of total blockade and starvation, widespread sexual violence and torture, targeting of women and children, attacks on cultural and religious sites, and obstruction of humanitarian relief efforts.

“These crimes cannot be justified, minimized, or concealed,” he stressed. Iravani also called out certain Western media outlets for distorting facts and using inhumane rhetoric to justify Israel’s genocidal acts. “As Special Rapporteur Ms. Al-Banizeh has noted, many Western governments, while hiding behind diplomacy, have facilitated, legitimized, and ultimately normalized this genocidal campaign, reproducing colonial narratives and misrepresentations of international law by the Israeli regime,” Iravani said.

The ambassador emphasized that genocide cannot be eradicated by silence. “Our voice for justice matters. The suffering of genocide victims must transform our collective grief into a unified, determined resolve to end this crime once and for all,” he stated.

Iravani called on the United Nations to lead these efforts not merely through commemorative events but through the moral will and commitment of all member states. “The world must act decisively, collectively, and immediately to end genocide and honor the dignity of its victims,” he urged.

The International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of Victims of Genocide was established by the UN General Assembly to honor victims and reinforce the global commitment to prevent and punish genocide. Genocide, defined by the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, includes acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. The international legal framework obligates states to prevent and punish genocide, making silence or inaction a violation of these norms.

Iravani’s remarks come amid escalating international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where ongoing military operations, blockades, and civilian casualties have drawn global attention. By framing the issue in the context of genocide, Iran is seeking to galvanize international mechanisms and accountability, emphasizing the legal and moral duties of all states under international law.

TEHRAN (Iran News) In a statement late on Thursday, Hamas said, “The burning of the Hajjeh Hamideh Mosque by Zionist settler gangs exposes the level of sadism and racism that characterizes the Israeli occupation,” Lebanese news outlet Al Mayadeen reported.

It added, “The terrorist settlers’ crimes against our land, our people, and our sanctities take place with full support and sponsorship from the fascist occupation cabinet,” urging immediate international action “to rein in this rogue entity that violates all international laws, norms, and heavenly teachings.”

The attack took place earlier on Thursday when settlers poured flammable materials at the entrance of the mosque, located between Deir Istiya and Kifl Hares northwest of Salfit, and set it on fire. Residents intervened quickly, limiting the damage and preventing the mosque from being completely destroyed.

The incident is part of a growing pattern of settler violence across the occupied West Bank, where Palestinian homes, communities, and religious sites continue to face escalating attacks under the protection of the Israeli occupation authorities.

TEHRAN (Iran News) According to Al Jazeera, Turkey, Slovenia, Lithuania, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, and Canada have declared their readiness to arrest Netanyahu for his war crimes and the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Earlier, the Istanbul prosecutor’s office had issued arrest warrants for 37 suspects accused of involvement in the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Among these individuals are Netanyahu, Yisrael Katz, the Israeli war minister, and Eyal Zamir, the chief of the General Staff of Israel.

These individuals are banned from entering the Turkish territory and even from passing through its airspace.

In December 2023, South Africa initiated legal proceedings against Israel, accusing the regime of violating the Genocide Convention in its treatment of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Since then, a number of countries, including Nicaragua, Colombia, Libya, Mexico, Palestine, Spain and Turkey, have joined the case.

Back in November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former war minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

TEHRAN (Iran News) The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, says that the crimes of the occupying forces against heroic Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons have not ceased.

According to WAFA News Agency, a Palestinian detainee named Ahmad Hatem Mohammad Khdeirat died in an Israeli hospital on Tuesday due to deliberate medical negligence.

In reaction, Hamas has issued a strongly worded statement expressing condolences over Khdeirat’s death.

He had been suffering from illness and deprivation in prison, the movement said, warning of the dangers of Israel’s plot of gradual killing targeting detainees.

The statement emphasized that such measures have turned prisons into silent mass graves.

Hamas said that the number of deceased prisoners has reached 78 since the beginning of the genocidal war in occupied Palestine.

The movement called for an immediate international action at all levels to hold Israeli leaders accountable for ongoing actions against detainees.
