Regional Outrage after Israeli Attack on Iranian Soil

TEHRAN (Iran News) Qatar denounced the Israeli attack on Iran and urged all parties to exercise restraint, avoid actions that undermine security, and resolve disputes through dialogue.

Jordan described the attack as a violation of international law and Iranian sovereignty, cautioning that the escalation could lead to a war that threatens regional and global stability.

Amman emphasized the need for the international community to act swiftly to stop violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

Kuwait also condemned the attack, labeling it an aggression by Israel.

Syria issued a statement condemning the assault in the strongest terms, calling it an act of blatant aggression.

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Al-Busaidi, expressed deep concern. He urged the world to address the root causes of the crisis, particularly Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian territories. Oman’s foreign ministry similarly described the attack as a flagrant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and international law.

The UAE echoed the condemnation, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic efforts to resolve disputes.

Turkey’s foreign ministry also issued a strong condemnation, calling the attack on Iran unacceptable.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep concern over Israel’s actions, condemning them for violating international law and threatening regional peace. Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Iran and its neighbors in seeking peace and urged all parties to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation.

The Iraqi government criticized Israel for its expansionist policies, accusing it of prolonging conflict in the region. Iraqi Sunni cleric Sheikh Mahdi Al-Sumaidaie condemned the violation of Iraqi airspace, expressing disappointment in Iraq’s air defense systems for their failure to respond. He urged the prime minister to take action and prevent further weaknesses.

Moqtada al-Sadr, an influential Iraqi leader, downplayed the attack, stating that it reflects Israel’s inner turmoil. He argued that the attack, though a violation of sovereignty, reveals Israel’s anxiety and confusion.

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement also condemned the attack, with senior official Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi asserting that Israel’s actions would not alter Iran’s principled stance in support of the Palestinian cause.

Egypt’s foreign ministry expressed concern over the assault, warning that such actions threaten both regional and global stability.

Switzerland’s foreign ministry condemned the rise in tensions in the Middle East, including the recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran, and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities to avoid regional destabilization.

France refrained from explicitly condemning the attack, instead calling on all sides to avoid provocative actions that could exacerbate tensions.

Iran responded to the Israeli attack by asserting its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Tehran expressed gratitude to regional and global partners who condemned Israeli aggressions and reiterated that the ongoing occupation and violence by Israel—particularly against Palestinians and Lebanon—are the primary sources of instability, with US and Western support enabling these actions.

Iran Warns of Responding Israel Threats in Syria

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi shrugged off recent threats from an Israeli official against Tehran, warning Israel that it will receive a crushing response in case of any stupid action against Iran’s interests across the region and Syria.

In a statement on Wednesday, Mousavi dismissed the claims and threats from an official of Israel against Iran, stressing, “The Islamic Republic of Iran will show a crushing and regrettable response to any act of aggression or stupid measure from that regime (Israel) against our country’s interests in Syria and the region.”

He also highlighted the terrorist and occupying nature of the Zionist regime, adding, “The foundation and nature of this regime have been based upon the occupation of the Palestinian territory and the neighboring states, upon carnage, plundering the assets (of other nations), terror and aggression over the past 70 years.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has been present in Syria at the invitation and with the agreement of that country’s government with the purpose of fighting against terrorism sponsored by the US and Israel, and our country will not hesitate for a moment over safeguarding its presence in Syria and defending its national security and regional interests and will give a decisive and crushing response to any act of aggression or stupid move,” he added.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will also prosecute the Quds-occupying regime (Israel) for its threats and warmongering comments at the international circles,” the spokesperson stated.

His comments came after the Zionist regime’s defense minister, Naftali Bennett, said his regime has taken responsibility for countering the Islamic Republic in Syria.

Speaking at a campaign event on Saturday, Bennett said Tel Aviv and Washington have agreed to work in tandem to block what he called Tehran’s efforts to create a corridor for transferring men and materiel through Iraq and Syria to Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea.

New Israel airstrikes on Gaza Strip

TEHRAN (Iran News) – In new attacks, Israel warplanes have carried out several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, targeting a number of areas in the north and the northwest of the coastal enclave.

Palestinian media reported on Wednesday night that one of these new Israel airstrikes targeted Gaza Strip, a position belonging to the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas. The attack caused an explosion and material damage to the nearby buildings.

Another attack targeted areas in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in Gaza’s north.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military claimed that the attacks were in response to a rocket launch by Palestinians. It also announced that it had intercepted two of the alleged four incoming projectiles via Iron Dome missile system.

Last month, Israeli warplanes, choppers, and navy boats conducted a series of attacks on the Gaza Strip, targeting several positions in the north, west, and south of the besieged enclave.

The attacks were reportedly aimed at the positions of Hamas, including its “military complexes.”

There were no immediate reports of casualties from Gazan authorities as the sites were empty.

Gaza has been under Israeli siege since June 2007.

Since 2008, Israel has waged three wars against Gaza, where two million Palestinians live under a 12-year Israeli blockade. Thousands of Gazans have been killed in each of these deadly wars.

General Hajizadeh sound and safe; IRGC says

TEHRAN (Iran News) — General Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the aerospace unit of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), is safe and sound, Fars news agency quoted informed sources as saying after some media reports claimed that he was martyred in recent Israeli attacks on Syria.

On Sunday night, Syrian air defenses opened fire on missiles fired from the direction of Israel, state media reported.

Syrian state news agency SANA said one of the missiles came down near the Damascus suburb of Aqraba but gave no further details. Residents of Damascus said explosions could be heard near the capital.

“Air defenses confront hostile missiles coming from the direction of the occupied lands,” SANA said, referring to Israel.

“There are reports of one of the hostile targets being taken down in the Aqraba area in the rural parts of Damascus,” the report said.

As chief of the IRGC aerospace, General Hajizadeh oversaw the downing of an American RQ-4 Global Hawk by his forces back in June.

The drone was downed over the Strait of Hormuz after it violated Iranian airspace. Despite the U.S. claims that the drone had been flying over international waters, Iran said it had retrieved sections of the drone in its own territorial waters where it was shot down.

Hajizadeh said at the time that the drone had received warnings for four times before being shot down.

“Those who guided the drone received the warnings but did not care. Given that the drone breached Iran’s airspace, the aerospace unit of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps shot it down,” he said.

Israeli hostile missile raids on Syria repelled

The Syrian military says the country’s air defenses have repelled several Israeli hostile missile raids over the capital Damascus.

Syria’s official news agency SANA, citing a Syrian military source, reported in the early hours of Wednesday that Israeli hostile missile raids had violated the Lebanese airspace near the southern district of Marjayoun and the occupied Golan Heights before firing missiles towards Damascus. Iran News quotes the reports.

SANA said the Syrian air defense systems had successfully fended off the Israeli airstrikes on the capital and its suburbs, adding that several missiles had also been downed south of Damascus before reaching their targets.

The news agency said explosions were also seen in the skies of the capital and work was underway to evaluate the situation and assess possible damage.

Syria state-run broadcaster Al-Ikhbariya confirmed the report and said the Israeli strikes destroyed at least two residential buildings in the southwest of Damascus, leaving inhabitants of the property – a father, a mother and their children – injured.

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv confirmed the attack, claiming to have struck dozens of what it described as Iranian and Syrian targets.

Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria, including in the Golan Heights, most of them against what the Tel Aviv regime claims to be the positions of pro-Syrian forces.

The Syrian military has mostly absorbed the Israeli strikes, locking its defense systems on incoming fire.

In early 2018, Syria targeted and shot down at least one Israeli F-16 that had intruded into its airspace.

Syria has called on the United Nations to adopt necessary measures to stop Israel’s repeated acts of military aggression on the Arab country.

Islamic Jihad Targets Rafah in Response to Israel Attacks

TEHRAN (Iran News)- The military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Saraya al-Quds, announced that it has targeted a gathering center of the Israeli soldiers in Eastern Rafah with several missiles.

The Arabic-language Al-Ahd news website reported on Wednesday that during the missile strikes as Islamic Jihad targets Rafah, several Israeli soldiers were wounded.

The Palestinian resistance group also announced that it had targeted an Israeli Merkava tank in Eastern Khan Yunis on Tuesday night.

The Islamic Jihad has vowed not to allow the Israeli policy of assassinations to be reintroduced, threatening of heavy military response.

In a statement on Tuesday, Abu Hamza, the spokesperson for Saraya Al-Quds, said, “We hold the enemy fully responsible for the consequences of the stupid decision to assassinate the leadership of the resistance, and we are certain in the coming hours that we will add a new title to the record of defeats to the prime minister of the rogue enemy, which brought to the Zionists only destruction, war, and devastation.”

“We say to the enemy with certainty that you may have succeeded in starting this aggression against our people and our resistance, but you will not be able to determine the form and timing of the end of this round of open battle with you,” he said.

The Palestinians launched missile attacks against Israel as Islamic Jihad vowed to avenge the killing of one of its senior commanders, Abu al-Ata, by Israel. Senior Islamic Jihad officials said the “real response” to Abu al-Ata’s elimination has yet to come.

“The coming hours will speak for themselves,” Islamic Jihad spokesman Musab al-Breim told the Palestine Today news site.

There was no statement from either side on a ceasefire, though Egyptian and UN officials on Tuesday night said were pushing for a truce between Israel and Gaza resistance groups.

Egyptian officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Cairo was attempting to deescalate tensions between Israel and Palestinian groups. The officials added that the Egyptian General Intelligence Service stepped up communications and “opened channels” with the US and the European Union.

Shortly after Islamic Jihad and Hamas vowed to retaliate, a barrage of rockets was launched at Southern and Central Israel, activating sirens across half of the occupied territories. The Israeli military said that around 200 rockets have been launched at Israel since Tuesday morning, 20 of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, according to Haaretz.

Eight more Palestinians were killed and at least 30 were wounded in strikes the Israeli military conducted in the Strip during the day, Gaza’s Health Ministry said.

People staged a protest in Tel Aviv to lift the blockade on Gaza, urging the Israeli leadership to reach a peace agreement with the Palestinians.

The bodies of three Palestinians were found at a site struck by Israel near Beit Lahia in the Northern Strip, raising Tuesday’s death toll to eight.

Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett announced a special state of emergency for 48 hours in areas within an 80 kilometers (650 miles) range surrounding Gaza.

At approximately 4 a.m. Tuesday, an Israeli air raid martyred Bahaa Abul Ata, 42-year-old prominent commander in the Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad Movement, and his wife in Shejaiya area in Eastern Gaza.

Shortly after the Israeli regime killed the top Islamic Jihad commander in Gaza, Palestinians launched a salvo of rockets into the occupied territories, forcing hundreds of tourists to cut short their journey and return to their homelands for their lives.

Ben Gurion Airport is full of tourists planning to leave the occupied territories, according to reports.

Another strike on a Damascus home belonging to an Islamic Jihad official killed the man’s son, in what appears to be part of an Israeli operation to assassinate leaders of the Palestinian resistance group in Gaza and Syria. The Islamic Jihad issued a statement on Tuesday confirming the attack, identifying the official as Akram al-Ajouri, member of the group’s political bureau.

The al-Quds Brigades and the Hamas resistance movement vowed a major response to Abul Ata’s assassination by the Tel Aviv regime, which was the first such attempt since the 2014 Israeli war on Gaza.

The armed wing of the Jihad Movement stated that Abul Ata was killed in a “cowardly assassination attempt. It promised an “earthshaking reprisal”, adding that the “criminal enemy will bear the responsibility for the results of such aggression”.

The Hamas Movement has also mourned Abul Ata, stressing that the Israeli crime will not go unpunished.

In a statement, Hamas held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for all the consequences resulting from such military escalation, affirming that the assassination of Abul Ata would be retaliated.
