New Israel airstrikes on Gaza Strip

TEHRAN (Iran News) – In new attacks, Israel warplanes have carried out several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, targeting a number of areas in the north and the northwest of the coastal enclave.

Palestinian media reported on Wednesday night that one of these new Israel airstrikes targeted Gaza Strip, a position belonging to the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas. The attack caused an explosion and material damage to the nearby buildings.

Another attack targeted areas in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in Gaza’s north.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military claimed that the attacks were in response to a rocket launch by Palestinians. It also announced that it had intercepted two of the alleged four incoming projectiles via Iron Dome missile system.

Last month, Israeli warplanes, choppers, and navy boats conducted a series of attacks on the Gaza Strip, targeting several positions in the north, west, and south of the besieged enclave.

The attacks were reportedly aimed at the positions of Hamas, including its “military complexes.”

There were no immediate reports of casualties from Gazan authorities as the sites were empty.

Gaza has been under Israeli siege since June 2007.

Since 2008, Israel has waged three wars against Gaza, where two million Palestinians live under a 12-year Israeli blockade. Thousands of Gazans have been killed in each of these deadly wars.

Israeli drone in Gaza down by Hamas

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Palestine’s Hamas resistance movement shot down an Israeli drone in the northern parts of the Gaza Strip on Sunday night.

According to Palestinian media, Hamas fighters have successfully shot down a “Quadcopter” drone that belongs to the Israeli regime near the Gaza Strip.

The report did not provide further details but quoted the sources as saying that resistance opened fire and shot down the drone and then confiscated it.

The move follows the Israeli regime’s airstrikes on Khan Yunis and other areas in the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday, hours after dozens of Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli troops in the coastal enclave.

The Israeli military claimed that the Friday air raids were launched in response to the firing of 10 rockets into the occupied Palestinian territories from Gaza.

Earlier in the day, Israeli forces opened fire on several Palestinian fishermen in the northern part of the strip, shortly after injuring dozens of protesters during a fresh round of the March of Return demonstrations.

A 27-year-old who was seriously wounded in the Friday’s airstrikes succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Saturday.

The Israeli military frequently bombs Gaza, with civilians being the main target of such attacks.

The first, developed by Israeli company ISPRA and known as the “Cyclone Riot Control Drone System”, is a small drone with rotas that carries a box containing nine-light aluminum cartridges which burn up after they are released.

Wounded Palestinian killed under Israeli Airstrikes

TEHRAN (Iran News)- A wounded Palestinian man who was seriously injured in the Israeli air raids on the Gaza Strip during the night and early morning hours of Saturday died of his wounds, according to medical sources.

The sources announced that Ahmad Mohammad Shahri, 27, from Khan Younis in the South of the Gaza Strip, died of wounds sustained when a missile fired by Israeli warplanes hit an area near him, WAFA reported the fate of wounded Palestinian killed under Israeli airstrikes.

Three other people were also injured, some seriously, in the same attack, said the sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis where the injured were taken.

Israeli fighter jets attacked dozens of locations throughout the Gaza Strip all night and early morning causing widespread panic among the people and heavy damage to property. There was also concern of an outbreak of a new Israeli carnage against the heavily populated Gaza Strip.

Israel claimed the attacks came in response to an earlier firing of 10 rockets from Gaza into bordering towns without causing any injury. Seven of the rockets were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome system while three fell in open space.

Earlier Friday, health officials said scores of Palestinians were wounded by live fire during protests along Gaza-Israel border fence.
