“It has been done in a really attractive manner,” wrote the Leader in a commendation published on Tuesday.

“The story of the Kurdish youth and the forthright style of writing in the book are both attractive. Although I was already closely familiar with many Kurdish people who are supporters of the Islamic Republic, what has been recounted in this book about their devotion is totally new and amazing for me. The roles of the mother and wife are also very powerful.”

“The valor of the narrator and his family and some of the other Kurdish people in the story is extraordinary. In addition, the cruel behavior of those people who deceitfully deemed themselves as the representatives of the noble Kurdish people has been well described. It’s a comprehensive book,” added Ayatollah Khamenei who read the book in November 2020.

Keriskan is the name of an area in Koy Sanjaq, a town and district in Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan. The area was home to a camp for Iranian captives during the separatist civil war in the Iranian Kordestan region in the early 1980s.

Saeidzadeh is one of the few survivors of the camp. Most of his cellmates were executed by the separatists without any trial.

Memoirs by war veterans have always been hailed by the Leader in commendations he has written for the books.

The latest one was written for “Red Squares”, a memoir by IRGC commander Hossein Yekta. The commendation was published in September 2020.

Yekta has always been praised by Ayatollah Khamenei for arranging tours of the former warzones named Rahiane Nur (The Travelers of Light) for school and university students.

“It has been written in a really delightful style. It represents clear signs of Mr. Hajji Hossein Yekta’s eloquence. The elegance coming from the fine sense of expression, which dominates the entire book, may be rooted in the remarkable ability of the writer or in the impressive language of the narrator,” the Leader wrote.

“The most attractive part of the book is that which is dedicated to describing martyrs, and their divine mood before martyrdom, which has been illustrated extremely well,” he added.

In the meeting with Levan Jagarian, Velayati said that Iran and Russia are important friends and neighbors, adding that the long history of commercial, economic, and cultural relations is the main factor for strategic cooperation in different fields.

Velayati said that relations between Iran and Moscow are based on mutual respect, adding that common resolve to ensure regional security and partnership in the economic development of the regional states have led to deeper cooperation between the two countries.

He also said that an example of cooperation was helping resolve the humanitarian crisis in Syria and Armenia-Azerbaijan dispute over Karabakh.

Russian ambassador, Jagarian, said for his part that strengthening mutual ties between Iran and Russia has helped boost cooperation and that Moscow and Tehran have taken effective steps for upgrading their ties.

Stressing expansion of ties in defense, oil, nuclear, industrial, agricultural, and trade fields, the two diplomats reviewed the latest regional and international developments.

After performing prayers at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum in southern Tehran, the Supreme Leader also visited the nearby Behesht Zahra cemetery, where Imam Khomeini delivered his first speech coming back home from exile.

The Supreme Leader also paid tribute to Iranian martyrs who have lost their lives since the Islamic Revolution.

Imam Khomeini returned from Paris on February 1, 1979. It marked a turning point in the run-up for the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Imam Khomeini arrived in Iran from Paris after 14 years of exile.

Imam Khomeini’s return to the country ultimately led to the overthrow of shah Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi.

Iran has ever-since commemorated the events with 10-Day Dawn festivities, which culminate in nationwide rallies on February 11, marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran has unveiled an underground base for “strategic missiles” on its Gulf coastline, according to state media. Video broadcast by state media Friday showed the head of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards, Chief-Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards General Hossein Salami, touring what appears to be a long underground tunnel lined with missiles and missile launchers.

In his visit to the missile base, General Salami was accompanied by IRGC Navy Commander Brigadier General Alireza Tangsiri. Speaking on the sidelines of the visit to the units and missile systems deployed in the base, General Salami the base is one of the several bases housing the Navy’s strategic missiles.
