Had it not been for Resistance Axis’ efforts, the Israeli regime would expand its ambitious plans way beyond its current borders of the occupied territory, he added.

“Today, the diplomacy of resistance is one of the influential and important pillars in Islamic Republic of Iran’s defense diplomacy,” he highlighted.

The ceremony was also attended by IRGC’s Quds Force and intelligence officials.

Referring to US’ claim on downing of Iranian drones in the Strait of Hormuz, Brigadier General Hatami said that no Iranian drone has been downed by US.

Last week the US President Donald Trump said that the USS Boxer fired at an Iranian drone and destroyed it, four weeks after Iran shot down a US surveillance drone flying over Iranian waters near the Strait of Hormuz.

While the US has not provided any evidence to prove its claim that one of their warship brought down an Iranian drone since last week, US Central Command made a new claim yesterday.

This new claim is while Iran has strongly rejected the US claim that one of its drone had been shot down by the US Navy warship Boxer in the Strait of Hormuz last week. The United States officials have not provided any video footage that proves their claim while Iran has released a video footage taken by its drones observing the movements of the same US warship.

A US Global Hawk spy drone intruded into Iranian airspace on Thursday and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps brought it down after the drone ignored Iran’s several warnings. IRGC says there was another intruding US manned plane beside the Global Hawk but the force ‘refrained’ from targeting it.

Iran has provided sufficient evidence proving that the UAV had violated Iran’s airspace, including exact coordinates of the place as well as sections of the vehicle’s wreckage which were retrieved from Iranian waters. Tehran also says it will take the case to the UN.

Tensions initially built up between US and Iran after President Trump withdrew Washington from the 2015 Nuclear Deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and imposed severe sanctions against Tehran. Trump administration insists that they are ready for talks with Iran but Tehran says it will resist in face of all pressures and that there will be no talks with a party which has already violated many international agreements.
