Iranian Robot Devised to Unclog Deep Wells

TEHRAN (Iran News) – An Iranian knowledge-based company has devised a robot to unclog deep wells and underground linkage.

The development and increase of urban and industrial infrastructure have made the drilling of underground deep wells, even at very great depths, inevitable. Deep and intertwined underground networks, including sewerage network and deep oil and gas pipelines, have two difficult stages: first, the construction of these networks and, more importantly, their maintenance.

However, technology and innovative solutions have been proposed to solve this problem.

“Idea Kavan”, an Iranian knowledge-based company, has solved this by producing a videometric equipment, IFP News reported.

The CEO of the company says this advanced robotic equipment performs operational tasks and includes visual inspection systems.

According to Abolfazl Hassani, the robots used to unclog deep wells utilize a variety of technologies. The company’s wells unclogging robot has an internal hydraulic system that can perform high quality walling and repair.

“This robot can repair walls up to a depth of 500 metres with a diametre of 10 to 16 inches. The robot also has cameras designed for positioning and inspection after the operation so that the user can easily monitor the process.”

He says one of the most common problems with imaging robots is their overturning. The robot made by this knowledge-based company is designed to be resistant to overturning. The body of this robot is made in such a way that in case of any event such as inversion, it can continue to move easily.

Official Says Iranian Remdesivir Suits in Foreign Markets

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Medicine named Remdesivir produced by an Iranian knowledge-based company can be exported to the foreign market, Director of Health and Technology Development Office of the Health and Medical Education Ministry Hossein Vatanpour said on Friday.

The company is ready to mass-produce the drug after approval by the Iran Food and Drug Administration, he noted.

The Iranian medicine will be available to the local hospitals following its mass production, he underlined, IRNA reported.

Due to severe side effects, the drug should be prescribed by specialists and the medicine should be only used in the hospitals of the country, he pointed out.

Providing internal needs is our priority, which by obtaining the necessary permits, we pave the way for exporting the product, the CEO of the company Saeed Maleki said.

Iranian Water Desalination System Unveiled

TEHRAN (Iran News) – A knowledge-based Iranian company announced that it has managed to acquire the technology for manufacturing next-generation solar water desalination system.

An Iranian knowledge-based company has acquired the knowledge of producing new generation of solar desalination system for water.

Desalination is a process that removes minerals from saline water and results in freshwater that can be used for human drinking water, irrigation of farms and agricultural and industrial gardens.

Mohsen Nazari, Managing Director of “Arta Javid Asia” knowledge-based company, said that the company is active in the design and construction of advanced desalination systems as well as vacuum engineering that operates in the field of water and new technologies of thermal desalination.

“We are a leading country and have many projects underway,” Nazari added.

He made the remark that solar hybrid systems do not exist at all in the country and there are no other manufacturers in the world except a few companies in Germany and America.

In May, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian underlined that his country has gained self-sufficiency in water and power generation industries due to efforts made to use internal capacities during the sanctions era.

“Today, Iran has gained self-sufficiency in the production of a number of equipment needed for water and wastewater industries and many equipments needed for the power industry due to sanctions,” Ardakanian said.

“Now, by reliance on internal power, we do not have any deadlock in supplying equipment and implementation of water and electricity projects under any conditions, both under sanctions and when we were not under sanction,” he added.

Ardakanian said that by investment, the energy ministry has succeeded in manufacturing many equipment needed to generate power, including gas turbines.

Iran signs $7mn deals on herbal medicines with Uganda, Kenya

CEO of an Iranian knowledge-based company active in production of herbal medicines said the company has signed two agreements amounting to $7 million with Uganda and Kenya.

Hojjatollah Zabihi, the CEO of a knowledge-based herbal medicines production company, told Mehr News on Monday that his company has signed a $5 million agreement with Kenya, and a $2 million deal with Uganda for production of Iranian herbal medicines.

The agreements were signed during the recent visit of Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari to the two East African countries. Sattari was accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprised of officials and heads of 70 knowledge-based companies.

Zabihi said that under the agreements, the company will launch five production lines for five different products in Kenya and Uganda. He added that three production lines were for ointment, syrup and capsule, while the other two were for animal products.

Iran will produce the raw materials for these production lines for ten years and export them to these two countries, he added.

According to him, two Iranian knowledge-based companies will take care of the production and packaging of the medicines. The technical know-how will be transferred to Uganda and Kenya after two years, he added.

He said the implementation of the agreements will create jobs for 150-200 Iranian farmers, leading to $20-30 million of income in a year.

The company will send the required machinery to these two countries in a month, and run the first trial production in three months, he said.

By the end of 2018, the production of Iranian herbal medicines will officially kick off in Kenya and Uganda, he added.
