										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games confirmed the men’s and women’s sitting volleyball competition schedule for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games that will be held at the Makuhari Messe Hall A from August 27 to September 5, 2021.</p>

<p>Sitting volleyball is among the most popular events that have been scheduled at family-friendly times to allow as many people as possible to experience them in Tokyo Games, worldparavolley.org reported.</p>
<p>The men’s and women’s preliminary round will be held from August 27-September 1، 2021. The first four days of the preliminary round will feature both men’s and women’s events، followed by a full day of the men’s event on August 31 and a full day of the women’s event on September 1.</p>
<p>The men’s classification and semifinal matches will be on September 2، while the women’s classification and final four will be on September 3.</p>
<p>The women’s bronze medal match and the men’s medal matches are scheduled on September 4، and women’s gold medal match will be one of the highlight events on the closing day of the Paralympic Games on September 5.</p>
<p>Iran is the most decorated team in the Paralympics with six gold medals.</p>

<p>Hamed Amiri finished in first place at the Men’s Javelin Throw F54 with a throw of 29.77 meters, one centimeter ahead of Greek athlete Manolis Stefanoudakis.</p>
<p>The bronze medal went to Russian thrower Aleksei Kuznetsov with 29.68 meters.</p>
<p>Iran’s Mahdi Olad (Men’s Shot Put F11 &#8211; Gold), Alireza Mokhtari (Men&#8217;s Shot Put F53 – Silver), Mehran Nekouei Majd (Men&#8217;s Shot Put F34 – Silver), Sajad Mohammadian (Men’s Shot Put F42 – Bronze), Ali Mohammadyari (Men&#8217;s Discus Throw F 56 – Silver), Hashemiyeh Motaghian (Women’s Javelin F56- Silver) had won medals for Iran.</p>
<p>Mohammadyari earned a silver at the Men&#8217;s Discus Throw F 56 with a 43.51 throw.</p>
<p>Brazilian thrower Claudiney Batista won the gold medal with 45.92 and Yogesh Kathuniya from India seized a bronze with a throw of 42.05m.</p>
<p>Motandhian also won a silver in the Women’s Javelin F56 with a throw of 22.67m. Rio 2016 Paralympic champion Diana Dadtzite from Latvia seized the gold with 25.54m and Brazilian Raissa Rocha claimed a bronze with 22.28m.</p>
