TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian military warns against fabricating stories, says won’t allow military engagement in peripher. A senior spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff on Saturday dismissed as untrue statements by the United States about a suspicious incident for an Israeli-operated tanker in the Sea of Oman, warning the enemy that Iran will not allow any military engagement in its periphery.

In an interview with reporters, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said the claims of Iran’s involvement in the attack on the Mercer Street oil tanker is fabricated by the American, Israeli and Saudi media outlets.

The fabrication is intended to fan the flames of the Iranophobia project, the military spokesman remarked.

Commander also warned that in the event of a military confrontation with the enemy, Iran will not allow a battle zone to be formed in its surrounding areas.

“If we are going to fight the enemy, we will make a clear announcement, just as we did in Ein al Assad,” the general asserted, noting that Iran launched a large-scale missile strike on U.S. air base in Iraq in January 2020 in retaliation for the assassination of top commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

Calling the commotion against Iran as part of the psychological war against the Islamic Republic, Shekarchi added such an uproar is a proof that the enemy is fearful of the integrity of the Islamic Republic.

The military spokesman added, “The United States has not been involved in interaction (with Iran) neither in the past nor currently. They have been trying to overthrow the Iranian government.”

He said, “As long as the Americans are under the influence of the Zionist regime, their approach of dealing with Iran will not change.”

The general warned that although the strategies of the United States, Britain, and Israel are based on creating insecurity, the Saudi media have also joined them in intensifying the campaign to demonize Iran, he said, adding that Iran’s strategy is to strengthen the security of the Persian Gulf.

He also refuted the United States’ claim that the wreckage of an Iranian drone was recovered from the water after the Mercer Street attack, saying that it is not clear which laboratory examined such undocumented evidence.

The commander pointed out that for Zionists who have a long experience in such operations, it is not difficult to fabricate untenable evidence.

“It’s not even difficult to create an explosion on a ship,” he said.

The military official added the unity and solidarity of Iran’s Islamic institutions angered the United States, and the United States fabricated such stories as a way to increase pressure on Iran.

Iran Produces over 38,000 Military Gear Parts on Its Own

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said the country’s military units are capable of manufacturing more than 38,000 military equipment and hardware parts despite pressures and sanctions.

The enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have made every effort in the past years to stop Iranian factories from operating, General Hatami said during the opening ceremony of a military exhibit in Tehran on Thursday.

He said the defense ministry, despite all bans and pressures, has so far managed to make great progress in producing different equipment.

The country is self-reliant and currently capable of manufacturing over 38,000 military gear parts and equipment without the help of other countries, the minister said.

Ever since the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979, the United States and its allies have been taking the country under indiscriminate economic and trade sanctions.

The US lifted the nuclear-related ones among the bans after the conclusion of a multi-national nuclear accord between Iran and world powers in 2015. In 2018, however, it unilaterally and illegally left the deal and returned the sanctions.

Over the past years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing military equipment and hardware despite sanctions and economic pressures imposed on the country.

Iran’s Air Force Developing a Heavy Fighter Jet

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Air Force has kicked off developing a heavy fighter jet after success manufacturing of the Kowsar warplane, an Iranian military commander said on July 22.

Deputy Commander of the Air Force Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi exclusively told Tasnim News Agency that despite certain claims raised by critics about the Kowsar heavy fighter jet, the aircraft has nothing to do with the F-5 fighters.

Kowsar is an Iranian jet with indigenized avionics and homegrown engines, Commander Vahedi said.

The general also pointed to military projects to upgrade the radar capabilities of the Air Force’s planes, saying good progress has been made in this field.

Iran has also achieved great success in increasing the stealth capabilities of various types of aircraft, Brigadier General Vahedi said, noting that the new achievements will be unveiled after final tests.

The commander highlighted Iran’s progress in developing air-launched standoff missiles, saying local experts have extended the range of Sidewinder air-to-air missile, which is mounted on the F-5 jet, from 5 miles to 12 miles.

This enhanced range would be very effective in aerial combats, he added.

The general further pointed to the breakthrough that Iran has made in the drone industry, saying the homegrown Karrar pilotless aircraft has successfully dropped a 500-pound bomb which is going to become a weapon with pinpoint accuracy.

The Air Force has also furnished the Ababil-3 drones with rockets, Vahedi said, adding that programs are underway to equip the Ababil and Kaman UAVs with Qaem-1 and Qaem-5 smart bombs.

Iran has in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of military equipment, including air defense systems that use cutting-edge technologies.

Tehran has repeatedly stressed that its military might is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian Defense Minister warned the enemies that a crushing response awaits any aggression against the country.

“We remind enemies of the Islamic Iran that any aggression against the security of this nation or its goals will draw a crushing response from armed forces of the Islamic Republic,” Brigadier General Amir Hatami said Saturday in a local ceremony in Chabahar, Sistan and Baluchestan province.

The minister went on to stress the failure of US’ maximum pressure policy against Iran, noting that “The grown, insightful and resisting nation of Islamic Iran has never given in and will never give in to the excessive demands of the arrogance, and we will definitely overcome these problems successfully and proudly.”

Pointing to the participation of millions of Iranians in the funeral of Martyr Soleimani, Hatami said that the Iranian people proved that they will not let the US and Israeli regimes interrupt the path of this martyr.

Iran’s advisory role in Syria caused US’ defeat: Gen. Safavi

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Top Military Aide to the Iranian Leader, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, said on Monday that Iran’s political support and military advisory role caused the US’ defeat in Syria.

“It was Iran’s advisory role in Syria and our support that caused the defeat of the United States, its Western and Arab allies, as well as certain regional states, in Syria, and the defeat of Takfiri terrorists in Syria’s Aleppo and Iraq’s Mosul,” Top Military Aide to the Iranian Leader, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, said on Monday.

His remarks came on the 40th anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the American embassy in Tehran, known as Student Day and the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance in Iran.

“The US is incapable of changing the strategic face of the region and the world in its own favor,” he said, adding “all developments in China, Russia and India are taking place against the US’ interests.”

Maj. Gen. Safavi then censured the US President Donald Trump for his policies on regional developments, saying “the charlatan, witless and insolent president of America freely talks about plundering the Syrian oil while still insisting on his agenda to make decisions for other countries, such as China, Russia, Venezuela, North Korea and Iran.”

The US was in more power back in 1979, he said, adding “the US’ power is declining. The US today is far weaker and more ill-reputed than it was forty years ago.”

Khanzadi: Iran to produce more submarine-missile

TEHRAN (Iran News) – “A year ago, Iran launched its first submarine-missile and now we are manufacturing it in large numbers,” Commander of Iranian Army Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said on Sunday.

“Today, we have achieved the technology to launch missiles from the depth of sea and the equipment that comes with it, including the missile, its capsule, the submarine besides the workforce are totally Iranian,” Khanzadi said.

He added that the largest logistical support vessel in the Middle East belongs to Iran and it can travel around the Earth with just one-time fueling.

“Delegations from Chinese and Russian naval forces are here in Iran today and joint military drills are to be carried out in the near future to showcase the power of the Islamic Republic,” he said.

On February 24, Ghadir-class submarine successfully launched a cruise missile during the ‘Velayat-97’ drills in the Sea of Oman.

This was the first time Iran achieved the knowhow to launch missiles from the depth of sea to surface targets.

According to reports, other Iranian submarines such as Tareq and Fateh are also capable of launching such cruise missiles.

Submarine systems of the Navy, to launch a variety of torpedoes, dealt with surface and subsurface threats on the second day of massive three-day drill ‘Velayat-97’.

The Ghadir-class submarines are designed to cruise within the shallow waters of the Persian Gulf.

Iran’s defense achievements enjoy modern technologies

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Chief Commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami said that achievements of Iranian armed forces in the defense sector are based on modern technologies.

“IRGC has made great achievements in all scientific, economic, technical, and industrial fields of Iran’s defense sector after the Global Arrogance imposed tyrannical sanctions,” said Salami on Wednesday upon arrival at Rasht, Gilan province.

He went on to say that defense achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran are using modern technologies, adding, “IRGC’s defense power has reached a point where it can unveil new modern achievements every day.”

Iran’s defense sector has seen many great achievements made by Iranian engineers during recent years. The most recent unveiling came last month as domestically made Bavar-373 air defense system came on stream. Tehran has repeatedly announced that its military power is just aimed at defending the country against threats and does not present any threat to others.

Earlier this month there’s been Holy Defense ceremony held in cities, in which many new equipment and vehicles were demonstrated. The given ceremony is an ct of showing off the defense power of country and giving the notion of having national capacity to make modern weapons in order to confirming the military power of defending country against foreign enemies of any kind under any circumstances.

Tehran (Iran News) – Iran is a major military power in the Middle East. It has an estimated 534,000 active personnel in the army, navy, air force and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Global Firepower Index says that Iran military power ranks No. 13 in the world out of 136 countries. The base of the listing consists of more than 50 factors. The factors includes war-making potential in conventional (non-nuclear) forces, manpower, geography and finance. To compare to other regional powers, Turkey ranks ninth, Egypt 12th, Zionists 16th and Saudi Arabia 26th.

Sanctions slowed the progress but the nation of Iran continues its military power growth by way of indigenous ventures and defense deals with Russia.

Iran’s influence in the Middle East has grown through conflicts in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen, during the tensions of its longstanding rival Saudi Arabia.

7) Iran’s navy has been showcasing its Ghadir-class mini-submarines which can launch cruise missiles. The boats are believed to carry a crew of nine and weighs less than 150 metric tons.

8) In 2011 Iran took control and captured an unmanned US Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel while in flight and used the technology to create its own drone.

Iranian armed forces Unveils New Military Gear; Ground Forces

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The Iranian Army Ground Force unveiled five new homegrown military products, including a reconnaissance drone and an armored fighting vehicle.

In a ceremony in Tehran on Thursday, the Army Ground Force unveiled the new products, designed and manufactured by the Research and Self-sufficiency Jihad Organization of the Iranian Army.

One of the items put on display was a hand-launched drone, fit for reconnaissance and patrol operations.

“Farpad” is designed for the combat intelligence collection units serving in the mobile offense brigades or rapid reaction squads.

The unmanned aerial vehicle is equipped with the autopilot system, a portable ground station, and imaging apparatus for day and night flights.

Another homegrown item unveiled in the ceremony was “Heidar-1” smart robot.

The network-based robot is a six-wheel drive vehicle that can carry loads, is furnished with 360-degree rotating wheels, and can also detect the barriers.

The Army Ground Force has also unveiled a portable jamming system that can detect and disrupt various types of hostile multirotor drones.

Another product unveiled in the event was “Rueen-Tan”, a light-weight armored vehicle, resistant to steel core ammunition.

The vehicle is equipped with modern technologies, operates with great power and agility, and can save the lives of personnel in the battlefield or against terrorist attacks, the Army said.

Senior commanders also unveiled a guidance and control system used for missiles with pin-point accuracy.

The “Labbayk-1” system has passed tests in the laboratory and in the field.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

In February 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran’s defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the country’s missile program.

Any war between the US and Iran would be a catastrophe. And no one could win it

Donald Trump’s recent decisions to avoid military action against Iran in the face of tactical humiliation and strategic threats have been smart, subtle and ethically unimpeachable. Iran News quotes CNN story of consequences of potential war between the US and Iran.

They’re also a gamble.

According to intelligence sources in the Middle East and the West, recent attacks on Saudi oil facilities were launched from Iranian soil. Iran has been blamed by the US, UK, France and Germany among others for being behind the cruise missile attacks; claims that the Houthi rebels in Yemen were responsible were dismissed as implausible.

But the outright allegation that the Iranians actually attacked Saudi Arabia from Iran — an act of war — has yet to be made in public, even though, according to the sources, intelligence officials have told politicians they are 100% certain their information is accurate.

The choice to hold such data back rests in the hope that, while it remains an open secret, there might be opportunities to dial down the dangers of war in the Gulf through diplomacy.

The extent of the urgency of achieving this was visible at the United Nations General Assembly last week where the French led efforts to lead the US and Iran towards talks.

Acknowledging a brazen act of violence against a sovereign nation would almost inevitably demand a violent response from that nation or her allies and put an end to diplomacy.

The gamble for Trump and other leaders is that a reluctance to act, in retaliation for what was a strategically effective attack on Saudi Arabia, may be seen in Tehran as weakness.

And that could result in a further escalation which, in the view of many sources in diplomacy and intelligence across the region, would most certainly trigger a conflict.

Attacking Iran would set off a complex war that simply could not be won by the West and its allies — and could easily be lost.

So far operations that the US has blamed on Iran against shipping in the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia’s oil industry and the downing of a US drone have been bloodless.

However much the Iranians deny their involvement, it seems their actions hae been carefully calibrated to signal greater dangers to come — and Iran’s military reach.
