TEHRAN (Iran News) The presidents of Iran and China have pledged to fully implement a 25-year comprehensive cooperation agreement, underscoring their commitment to expand strategic ties despite US pressure.

During a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Tuesday, President Masoud Pezeshkian voiced Tehran’s support for Xi’s global governance initiative and said Iran was ready to work with Beijing under all circumstances to raise relations to their “maximum level.”

Pezeshkian said China could count on Iran as a “strong and determined” partner and expressed interest in joint projects, including high-speed railways and highways. He also criticized the United States for pursuing unilateral policies and interfering in other countries.

Xi said China was committed to advancing relations with Iran with a “future-oriented outlook” and called for faster implementation of bilateral agreements, including those discussed at their previous meeting in Kazan.

The Chinese leader described Iran as a “strategic partner” and urged closer coordination within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to counter unilateralism.

Xi also reaffirmed China’s recognition of Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy, adding that Beijing was prepared to deepen “win-win cooperation” in transport and other sectors despite Western sanctions.

Both leaders emphasized that force was not a solution to international disputes, with Xi condemning any Israeli and US attacks against Iran as violations of international law.

TEHRAN (Iran News) According to a report from the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad, Gholamreza Nouri, met with Zhong Peiwu, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Tehran. During the meeting, Nouri emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in agriculture, particularly in the areas of knowledge transfer and technological collaboration.

Nouri highlighted that both countries possess valuable experience across various sub-sectors of agriculture and can benefit mutually through sharing these insights.

He also underlined Iran’s active participation in the agricultural programs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and expressed Iran’s readiness to contribute to the successful organization of the upcoming SCO Agriculture Ministers’ Summit, scheduled to be held in Beijing in August.

Additionally, Nouri extended an invitation to the Chinese Minister of Agriculture to visit Tehran and attend the third meeting of the Iran-China Joint Agricultural Cooperation Committee.

Chinese Ambassador Zhong Peiwu remarked that agricultural relations between Iran and China are at a promising level. He noted that China is currently one of the main destinations for Iranian agricultural exports.

Zhong also reaffirmed China’s willingness to broaden the scope of technical and economic cooperation with Iran across various agricultural fields.
