TEHRAN (Iran News) The mission made the remark in a post on X late on Friday, ahead of the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting scheduled for November 19–21.

“The United States and the E3 intend to table a resolution against Iran at next week’s meeting of the IAEA BoG,” the Iranian mission said in its post. The E3 refers to Britain, France, and Germany, all of which were parties to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which expired on October 18 this year.

The mission said the decision by the US and the E3 to table the anti-Iran resolution is “another major mistake after so-called snapback,” and “constitutes yet a new deliberate attempt to politicize the Board.”

“These confrontational tactics are misguided and will yield no advantage whatsoever to them. Should this draft resolution be adopted, it will unavoidably and adversely affect the positive course of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA,” the Iranian mission warned.

In late August this year, the E3 triggered the snapback process, which ultimately restored UN Security Council resolutions previously lifted under the JCPOA.

The trio alleged that Iran had been non-compliant with the JCPOA. Iran rejected the allegation and said the snapback of sanctions had no legal basis because it had fulfilled its commitments under the JCPOA.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Iran has been elected as one of the eight vice-presidents of the annual General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, with the support of the Middle East and South Asia (MESA) group.

Peter Burian, Slovakia’s Resident Representative to the IAEA, who is the President of the 69th General Conference, read out the name of the Islamic Republic of Iran alongside Argentina, France, Ivory Coast, Mongolia, New Zealand, Poland and the United States as vice-chairs of the conference that kicked off on Monday in Vienna.

The US representative expressed dissatisfaction with the introduction of Iran by the MESA group, repeating political claims about Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program and calling the country’s appointment “inappropriate.”

However, Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador to the IAEA and permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, thanked the member states, including the MESA group for their trust in the Islamic Republic.

Rejecting the US’s accusations, Najafi said the decision was made through the established procedure, and everyone should respect the choices of regional groups, adding that “decisions here are made based on a majority vote and one country cannot prevent it.”

The envoy also referred to the recent anti-Iran resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors, emphasizing that the document has no legal basis and was approved only by a fragile majority. “vice-chair”

The 69th General Conference of the IAEA opened on Monday, with the presence of high-ranking representatives of member states, which will continue until Friday to discuss a wide range of issues related to the Agency’s activities and budget.

The General Conference elects a President at the beginning of each annual session, following consultations among member states and then the President proposes to the General Conference, the names of eight Vice-Presidents who hold office until the close of the session.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Tunisia and Egypt this week as part of ongoing regional consultations, says spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei.

Baqaei told IRNA on Monday that the visits fall within the framework of Iran’s continuous dialogue with regional and Islamic countries aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging views on regional issues and international developments.

During his stop in Cairo, Araghchi is scheduled to meet with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi to finalize discussions on a new framework for cooperation between Iran and the agency.

The spokesman noted that the text of the framework has been drafted over three rounds of technical talks and is now in the final stage of completion.

Baqaei explained that the framework addresses Iran’s safeguards commitments while taking into account field realities, including illegal attacks by the Israeli regime and the United States against Iran’s nuclear facilities, as well as the law passed by Parliament and considerations of the Supreme National Security Council.

The foreign minister will also hold a new round of political talks with Egyptian officials, including a meeting with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, to review bilateral and regional developments.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), made the remarks on the sidelines of the cabinet session in Tehran on Wednesday. “IAEA”

Iran has started feeding gas into several thousands of modern centrifuges to put them in operation, Eslami said, stressing that the move is in line with the development of Iran’s nuclear program to ensure the sustainability of its outcomes in the lives of its citizens.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always demonstrated that it is willing to engage in interaction; meanwhile, the country will not forfeit its rights in the face of pressure, illegitimate behavior, and bullying, the AEOI head said.

“Iran’s nuclear program is fully transparent and for peaceful purposes,” he said, adding that if unilateral pressure is exerted on Tehran through baseless accusations, it will not receive the proper response.

He continued, “We have had no activities beyond the frameworks.”

Iran does not pursue a military nuclear program, and this has been repeatedly confirmed by the US intelligence community, Eslami said, criticizing the anti-Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) parties for not being faithful to their promises.

The US, which was part of the agreement, unilaterally withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal in May 2018 and imposed severe sanctions on Iran.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Mohammad Eslami commented on the IAEA Board of Governors’ recent resolution on Iran and the UN nuclear agency’s obligation to monitor Tehran’s nuclear activities.

“The relations between Iran and the Agency (IAEA) has a legal basis, which is the Safeguards Agreement and the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty),” Eslami said, noting that the UN nuclear agency is bound to supervise, support and encourage Iran’s nuclear activities within that framework.

He underlined that the IAEA’s requests must be made within the framework of cooperation with Iran. “There is not any other subject that the Agency may intend to pursue.”

On June 5, the IAEA Board of Governors adopted a resolution during its 1723rd session, emphasizing the essential and independent role of the IAEA in verifying Iran’s compliance with its NPT-required safeguards obligations.

The resolution also stressed the importance of Iran’s compliance with its safeguards obligations and the need for Iran to cooperate fully and in a timely manner with the Agency with a view to clarifying and resolving the outstanding safeguards issues.

Last month, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed the country’s determination to resolve differences with the IAEA.

Asked about the installation of new cameras by the IAEA at Iran’s nuclear sites, Nasser Kanaani said, “Iran’s serious policy is the settlement of problems with the (IAEA).”

Based on this policy, he added, Iran is determined to prevent issues relating to its peaceful nuclear activities from becoming a process for confrontation with the IAEA.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet session on Wednesday, Mohammad Eslami said Iran has not barred any IAEA inspector from entering the country.

Currently, more than 130 IAEA inspectors are permitted to conduct inspections in Iran, he added, noting that the International Atomic Energy Agency is regularly carrying out its inspection activities at Iran’s nuclear sites within the framework of the Safeguards –the activities by which the IAEA can verify that a state is living up to its international commitments not to use nuclear technology for development of atomic weapons.

Highlighting the constant interaction and dialogue between Iran and the UN nuclear agency under the Safeguards, Eslami said discussions about two of the four so-called undeclared locations in Iran have been concluded, while talks on the other two alleged undeclared locations are in progress.

He also noted that negotiations will be held with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi during his upcoming visit to Iran, expressing hope that the talks would help resolve the ambiguities and strengthen interaction between Iran and the IAEA under the Safeguards.

Grossi will be attending Iran’s 1st Conference on Nuclear Science and Technologies within the next few days.

The nuclear conference in Isfahan will be held on May 6-8 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –“IAEA can confirm that there is no damage to Iran’s nuclear sites,” the UN nuclear agency said in a post on its X account on April 19.

It noted that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi “continues to call for extreme restraint from everybody and reiterates that nuclear facilities should never be a target in military conflicts.”

“IAEA is monitoring the situation very closely,” the UN nuclear agency added.

Speculation ran rampant on Friday morning that the Israeli regime has attacked a number of sites in Iran’s central province of Isfahan after a series of explosions were heard in the province.

Officials denied the rumor immediately afterwards, saying the air defense units have gone into firing mode because of the high sensitivity of the air defense facilities in the current situation and “probably” because a number of micro aerial vehicles (MAVs) have been detected.

In recent days, the Zionist regime has ratcheted up the rhetoric of military action against Iran after Tehran carried out a retaliatory operation against the Israeli military targets inside the occupied territories in response to a fatal airstrike that Israel launched on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 1.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry, said on Saturday that the Islamic Republic’s most recent decision to revoke the designation of some IAEA inspectors was motivated by the rights to governance outlined in the Safeguards Agreement between the two parties.

Kanaani made the remarks just hours after Rafael Grossi, the director general of the IAEA, criticized Iran for what he called a “unilateral measure” by Tehran in de-designating a number of IAEA inspectors.

In a statement, Grossi described Iran’s move as “disproportionate and unprecedented” and said these “most experienced” inspectors were tasked with carrying out verification tasks in Iran in accordance with the NPT Safeguards Agreement.

Grossi claimed Iran’s action “affects the normal planning and conduct of the IAEA verification activities” and “openly contradicts the cooperation that should exist between the Agency and Iran.”

In response, spokesman Kanaani stated that Iran had taken the action in accordance with the governance rights granted to the nation in Article 9 of the text containing the terms of an agreement between Iran and the IAEA responsible for applying safeguards in connection with the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Kanaani added that Iran has continued to cooperate in a positive and productive manner with the IAEA.

Nevertheless, he said, the UK, France, Germany, and the U.S. used the IAEA’s Board of Governors for their own “political purposes” through their unreasonable demands and desire to sabotage collaboration between Iran and the agency.

“Unfortunately, despite Iran’s positive, constructive and continuous interaction with the IAEA, the three European countries and the United States abused the Agency’s Board of Governors for their own political purposes with the aim of damaging the atmosphere of cooperation between Iran and the Agency,” Kanaani said, referring to the three European countries.

He noted that Iran has already cautioned against the negative effects of “political misuses,” such as attempts to politicize the environment of the UN nuclear watchdog.

The official went on to say that Iran wants Western nations to stop the practice of abusing international institutions, such as the IAEA, and to permit them to carry out their impartial and professional duties free from political interference.

While highlighting the necessity for the IAEA to work impartially, Kanaani made it clear that Iran will continue its constructive collaboration in accordance with the terms of its agreements with the UN agency.

The IAEA Board of Governors released a statement on Wednesday accusing Iran of breaking its safeguards agreements, which was supported by the West.

The document urged Iran to take action to resolve unresolved safeguards issues and declare to the IAEA what they claimed new nuclear facilities.

Alongside the meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on Wednesday, the three European signatories of the 2015 nuclear agreement — France, Britain, and Germany — also released a joint statement.

Even though the United States unilaterally ended the nuclear agreement in 2018 and left its future in doubt, they charged Iran with breaking the agreement.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –A top Iranian legislator has denied charges that recent conversations and agreements between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) violated the Strategic Law passed by the Iranian parliament.

Speaking with IRNA on Sunday, Fada Hossein Maleki, a member of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said that “everything that has been discussed in negotiations with the IAEA” and even issues concerning Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) “has been based on the Strategic Law.”

The Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions bill was enacted by the parliament in December 2020 in reaction to sanctions imposed by the U.S. on Iran following its unilateral exit from the JCPOA in 2018.

The law requires the Iranian government to, among other things, limit IAEA inspections and advance the country’s nuclear program beyond the boundaries set by the 2015 nuclear deal.

Maleki dismissed charges that the most recent agreements with the UN nuclear watchdog breached the 2020 legislation, noting that such issues were not addressed in the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, which is in charge of assessing these agreements.

“If there were any considerations from the Iranian side regarding the negotiations, they were discussed within the National Security Committee or the Supreme National Security Council,” he added.

Following IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi’s formal visit to Iran in March, both Iran and the agency pledged to strengthen cooperation and work toward addressing remaining safeguards issues.

The parties agreed to conduct interactions cooperatively, respecting the IAEA’s authority and preserving the Islamic Republic’s rights and commitments as stated in the comprehensive Safeguards Agreement.

Iran also agrees to allow the agency to undertake verification efforts and additional surveillance if necessary.

The intricacies of the implementation procedure will be established at a forthcoming technical conference in Tehran.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The United Nations and its bodies have been established to help peace, justice and impartiality in the world but sometimes they disappoint people worldwide and they act in favor of certain countries especially Israel, the U.S. and Western countries, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is one of them which disappoints nations over its double-standard acts and decisions, and one is its approach regarding the peaceful nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran and in its decisions the agency tries to please the Zionist regime and the Westerners.

On Thursday the board of governor of the IAEA ended its meeting without issuing any serious statement against Tehran but it came under fire of criticism from the West and Israel. The agency still continues its claim about Iran’s nuclear program and it insists Iran has not responded to its questions properly.

Reacting to this statement, Iran’s mission to the Vienna-based organizations highlighted the Islamic Republic’s full commitment to its nuclear obligations, calling on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to act professionally instead of relying on “fabricated information” provided by the Israeli regime.

In an explanatory note to the IAEA dated June 5, the mission said the Islamic Republic is determined to continue its compliance with its obligations under the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement (CSA).

Iran has done its utmost to enable the Agency to continue its verification activities in Iran, which is unique in the Agency’s verification system, the statement read.

It came after IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi sent a report entitled “NPT Safeguards Agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran” to the IAEA’s Board of Governors, repeating the old allegations against Iran’s nuclear program.

The statement also pointed to the so-called “undetected” locations claimed in Grossi’s report, saying there has not been any undeclared location that is required to be declared under the CSA as Iran’s nuclear activities remain peaceful under the agency’s full-scope safeguards.

“On the issue related to the so-called three locations, it should be highlighted that the origin of the issue goes back to the fabricated information provided to the Agency by an ill-intended third party, namely the Israeli regime,” the mission said.

The statement stressed that the allegations were made as Israel declines to have a single commitment under any weapons of mass destruction (WMD) instruments, including in particular the NPT, and repeatedly threatens to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities devoted to peaceful purposes.

The Iranian mission to the Vienna-based organizations said it is “regrettable” that the IAEA considers all fabricated documents and fake information provided by the Israeli regime as authentic.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has so far rendered its full cooperation under the CSA to the Agency and it has to be re-emphasized that all Iran’s nuclear material and activities have been completely declared and verified by the Agency,” it said.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly expects that the Agency conduct its reporting on verification activities in Iran based on the principals of impartiality, professionalism and objectivity.”

The statement also stressed that the agency should not disregard the possibility of involvement of Iran’s staunch enemies in providing false and fabricated information and committing various sabotage acts.

“While all Iran’s nuclear material and activities have been under the Agency’s strict verification and monitoring activities coupled with Iran’s cooperation and voluntary transparency measures, questioning the peaceful nature of Iranian nuclear program has no justification,” the mission noted.

Iran and the IAEA agreed in March to take steps aimed at facilitating enhanced cooperation and expediting the resolution of outstanding safeguards issues.

The two sides are currently in a dispute triggered by the agency’s Israeli-influenced accusations against Tehran’s peaceful nuclear activities.

Tehran has strongly rejected claims about the existence of undeclared nuclear activities or material in the country, urging the IAEA to act professionally and refrain from making unfounded allegations.

In recent years Iran’s dossier in the IAEA has turned into a tool for pleasing the Zionists and the West as well as into a tool for increasing pressure on Tehran while Tehran follows its peaceful nuclear program based on its international commitment but each time the agency under the pressure of the Zionist puts some charge and claim on the table to increase pressure on Iran for getting concessions from Tehran for the West and Israel but Tehran has strongly defended its rights and will not retreat from its rights.

The IAEA is recommended to stop pleasing the West and Israel through making baseless accusations against Iran because they are in vain and are unable to stop the determined Iranian nation who has chosen its path and march ahead as the IAEA or such international bodies which are not impartial are unable to break the strong determination of the nation, and sanctions and bullies are unable to stop Iran from pursuing its rights.
