TEHRAN (Iran News) The training camp will be organized in Novogorsk in Moscow from December 3 to 10.

The Iranian female ice hockey players will also have friendly matches with Russian teams.

The Iranian girls, who have shone in international competitions, will have an exceptional opportunity to participate in the camp and gain experience for the upcoming events.

‘No Place for Angels’ tells story of Iranian women’s hockey team

Iranian filmmaker Sam Kalantari told reporters on Saturday that his feature-length documentary ‘No Place for Angels’ is going through the last minutes of the technical stage, and will be soon ready for screening.

According to him, ‘No Place for Angels’ is about the stories of the national Iranian women’s hockey team and the major events that take place in their lives. The film depicts the hopes, fears and dreams of these girls, and narrates the story of their participation at Asian games.

“This is a drama about the Iranian women’s hockey team and the stories of the players,” he said.

‘No Place for Angels’ will premiere at the 13th Iran International Documentary Film Festival, known as ‘Cinema Verite’, slated for 9-16 December 2019 in Tehran.

Iran Defeats Thailand at Indoor Hockey Asia Cup

Team Melli, who had defeated Bangladesh 8-0 in Pool A, will meet Malaysia on Thursday.

The Iranian women team also lost to Kazakhstan 6-0 in Pool A. Iran had defeated the Philippines 5-0 on Monday in its first match.

The 2019 Men’s Indoor Asia Cup is the eighth edition of the men’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup, the biennial international men’s indoor hockey championship of Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation.

The competition is being held alongside the women’s tournament in Chonburi, Thailand from 15 to 21 July 2019.

Iran’s men team is the defending champion having won the 2017 edition.

Bahram Shafie re-elected Iran hockey president

Bahram Shafie has secured his fourth term as president of the Iran Hockey Federation, after being re-elected on Wednesday by members of the sport’s governing body in the country.

In the election held at the Iran’s Academy Olympic in Tehran, 33 of the 37 present members, voted for Shafie.

Ramezanali Davallou finished in second place with four votes.

Bahram Shafie is also a TV presenter in Iran state-run channel.
