In a press briefing on Monday, Sima Sadat Lari said the country’s coronavirus cases have risen to 375,212 following the detection of 1,642 new cases since Sunday, IRNA reported.

At least 323,233 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran, the spokeswoman said.

Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 3,729 coronavirus patients have critical health conditions because of more severe infection, Lari noted.

She also said more than 3,231,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.

Lari said the high-risk “red” zones include Tehran, Qom, Mazandaran, East Azarbaijan, Isfahan, Yazd, Khorasan Razavi, North Khorasan, Semnan, Gilan, Zanjan, Qazvin, and Kerman provinces.

The “orange” zones also include Lorestan, Ardebil, Golestan, Markazi, Alborz, Hormuzgan, Ilam, Fars, Bushehr, West Azarbaijan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kermanshah, South Khorasan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, and Khuzestan provinces, she added.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across the world has surpassed 25.4 million and the death toll has exceeded 851,000.
