TEHRAN (Iran News) Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei made the statement in a message of condolences on Saturday over the martyrdom of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the longtime leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, who was assassinated in a massive Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut on Friday.

The Leader declared five days of national mourning following the martyrdom of the Hezbollah chief.

The Leader said the foundation that Nasrallah established in Lebanon and provided direction to other centers of power will not disappear with his loss but will be strengthened by blood of the Hezbollah chief and other martyrs of the Beirut attack.

Ayatollah Khamenei described Nasrallah as a great fighter, the bearer of the resistance in the region, a religious scholar and a wise political leader who was martyred in the last night events in Lebanon.

The Leader stated that Nasrallah was martyred as he was planning to defend the defenseless people living in the Dahiyeh area in the south of Lebanon’s capital Beirut and their destroyed homes.

Nasrallah fought for decades to defend the oppressed Palestinian people, their occupied cities and villages, destroyed homes, and their slaughtered loved ones, Ayatollah Khamenei added, Press TV reported.

“The blessing of martyrdom was his undeniable right after all these efforts,” the Leader emphasized.

“The Muslim world lost a great personality, the resistance front lost a prominent flag-bearer, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah lost a unique leader,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Leader, however emphasized, the blessings of decades of Nasrallah’s prudence and jihad will never be lost.

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the evil Zionist regime failed to achieve victory in this incident.

The Leader said the Hezbollah chief “was not just a person, but rather he was a path and a school of thought and this path will continue.”

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The Secretary-General of Hezbollah has delivered a speech to mark the resistance movement’s victory against Israel in the July 2006 war, which the regime waged against Lebanon and ended up losing.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah began his speech by thanking the Hezbollah forces that fought off the Israeli attacks during the 33-day war and for their faith in Allah.

He also extended his gratitude to all those who helped in the “miracle”, including the Lebanese people, the injured and all the nations that supported the movement during the war, singling out Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sayyed Nasrallah said, “We must also thank the martyrs; civilians and fighters, commanders, the civilians who were martyred in the massacres as a result of the indiscriminate Israeli bombing, in particular Qana.”

The Hezbollah chief listed the commanders of the battle who were martyred during the war and those who were martyred after the war, ending with his deep gratitude to the services of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s IRGC Quds Force.

“It was a historic victory,” Nasrallah pointed out, “considering what Israel had done to the region since 1948, and the extent of military power and fire it used in the July 2006 war, the miracle of our victory against Israel will be written in the history books forever”.

The war changed the future equation between Hezbollah and Israel, Nasrallah noted after 17 years. “The enemy understood the military capabilities of Lebanon, especially Hezbollah.”

He pointed to last year’s water demarcation with Israel as an example, in which Hezbollah threatened to resort to force if the Zionist regime began tapping into natural reserves that belong to Lebanon before an international party draws up a demarcation line to show what belongs to Lebanon and what belongs to the occupied Palestinian territories.

Last year, amid Hezbollah threats, an American delegation was dispatched to study the waters between Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories. It presented its findings to the Lebanese authorities, and all parties in Lebanon were satisfied with the results, which showed what natural resources belonged to Beirut.

Following is an excerpt of the Hezbollah leader’s speech:

This achievement would not have been made had it not been for the July 2006 war victory.

In the upcoming days, [the Lebanese people] will see with their own eyes that tankers arriving off our shores to begin the drilling process of our natural resources, in the face of the harsh [U.S.] sanctions imposed on us, with which all Lebanese will reap the benefits amid a gas and diesel shortage.

“Their airports, military air bases, military depots for air force weapons, electricity plants and their delivery points, ports, main communications points, a group of vital infrastructure, which we have updated, oil and gas installations, the Dimona nuclear plant” are targets for attack, Hezbollah leader warns. The Israeli fear of Hezbollah means it can’t disrupt this process, which not only future generations will benefit from energy resources, but Lebanon will export its gas and oil to the international market.

Israel does not respect U.S. signatures, look at the Oslo Accords, and how Israel respected it.

What prevents Israel from stealing our natural resources is its understanding of the power of the resistance in Lebanon, and this is why this power must be preserved so Israel doesn’t regret its actions again.

From the outset, an Israeli committee presented the weaknesses of its army’s combat readiness, while keeping some of the aspects secret.

Has Israel reformed its army, political decisions, and war awareness since July 2006 and following the (findings of) Winograd Commission? (The Winograd Commission, established after July 2006, concluded that Israel’s war against Hezbollah was indeed marked by a long series of failures.)

The answer is no, on the opposite, since July 2006, the 2008 war on Gaza, the following wars on Gaza and today we have arrived at a very important juncture in the occupied West Bank amid this unprecedented increase in resistance; we see that Israel has declined.

Since the establishment of the Zionist entity, it had acted on three main elements: deterrence, warning, and decisiveness. They dealt with all the armies in the region on these three principles: from 1948 until 2006.

Since 2006, Israel has added a fourth key element: defense and protection related to a conflict inside the occupied Palestinian territories.

These contain negative and positive Israeli military principles. The negative element is how to deal with infrastructure that is on fire, issues about hospitals, reaching the settlers quickly, etc. The positive defense and protection aspect deals with incoming missiles, which is an important aspect that began with the July 2006 war and then extended to the wars on Gaza.

Israel has put great effort to find out how to deal with this issue, including the Iron Dome, David’s Sling and every year the enemy carries out maneuver on this, to check if its defense is capable.

According to Israeli generals, their defense capability is not ready for any future war. A few days ago, an Israeli military report said there are 2.5 million Israeli settlers that have nowhere to go, if there is a war.

The most important aspect is war awareness. Even before the internal Israeli crisis, we saw over the past months, since 2006, the process of the Israeli army’s weakness has started.

And after 17 years of the Israeli army taking lessons drills?, making plans and gaining new technology, have they managed to review their army to make it better? You can listen to many Israeli generals and ministers, former and present, who speak about the difficult state of mind the Israeli army has reached.

The most important point is the lack of will to fight, the readiness to sacrifice their lives, the lack of faith between the soldiers and the hierarchy, look at how many helicopters, drones and troops it took to raid Jenin, a small trapped refugee camp.

All of their capability is striking Gaza and Syria from the air.

As for land combat, with a supposedly powerful army that can fight in the battle, we have not witnessed anything since 2006.

Now, with the divisions among the Israeli military, its army is at its weakest point in history, which Israeli military officials are speaking openly about and in a meeting with their prime minister just recently.

Today, Israel is hiding behind walls, in Lebanon, in Gaza, in the West Bank, and they are speaking about erecting another wall with Jordan.

This brings me to my final point, on how does Hezbollah deal with Israeli threats?

A few days ago, the Israeli war minister issued a threat against us. It wasn’t a new threat. Officials before him had made the same threat, and they said we will return Lebanon to the stone age if and if and if…

I would like to comment on this latest statement and threat, with a view to everything I have said.

Of course, we do not deny they have the technology and bombs and support from the United States. But this is nothing new. This is from many, many years ago.

What’s new in Lebanon? What is the resistance in Lebanon? What is it capable of doing? This is what the Israeli leaders know but try to hide with their media propaganda, which has no value attached to it.

Therefore, I tell this to the enemy. Today, I can tell them this: you will also return to the stone age.

If you were to wage a war against Lebanon, you would return to the stone age

Some might say I am exaggerating. I will respond with two quick points.

We have a map of the occupied Palestinian territories and a list of targets [that will take Israel back to the stone age]. If the Israeli minister doesn’t have it, we can send it to him.

Their airports, military air bases, military depots for air force weapons, electricity plants and their delivery points, ports, main communications points, a group of vital infrastructure, which we have updated, oil and gas installations, the Dimona nuclear plant.

All of these are in a tight space. We are not speaking about a country here, like Russia or America or even Sudan, for example.

He can calculate how all these targets can be destroyed with how many precision-guided missiles Hezbollah has.

And if the enemy places the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Patriots they have, Israeli generals have said our precision-guided missiles are like being attacked by nuclear missiles.

We are only talking here about the critical infrastructure if we were to talk about other things, which I will not speak about here, but the Israelis are aware of.

This is only if the war stays limited to Lebanon. What would happen if it is expanded to the entire axis of resistance? There will no longer be something called Israel.

It is up to the leaders of the enemy to know, they are not playing a game of dots, they are playing with their existence.

As for us, we are not afraid of such threats. Today the entity is much weaker than 2006 and the resistance is much stronger and capable than in 2006.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Movement Hezbollah says Israel could not put up with more missiles after the apartheid regime showed its savage nature against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip once again.

In a televised speech, Sayyad Hassan Nasrallah reacted to the unprovoked Israeli assassination of a Palestinian commander and the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza that killed dozens of Palestinians, many of them children and women.

Sayyad Nasrallah also spoke about the Palestinian response, pointing out “It was evident that Tel Aviv wanted to stop the war it waged because it could no longer bear any more missiles,” being launched by the resistance in the besieged coastal enclave, three days after the regime began its attacks against Gaza.

The Hezbollah chief praised the courage of the Palestinian response to the regime’s unprovoked assault on Gaza, because “if the assassinations were left unanswered” he said, “Israel would have continued waging them.”

He also praised the steadfastness of the people of Gaza (also referred to as the world’s largest open-air prison) and the popular support for the resistance that was waged against the regime.

He noted that “the resistance in Gaza, as in Lebanon, can defend its people, establish protection and deterrence equations as well as impose conditions on the enemy.”

Expanding on the unprovoked Israeli attacks, Nasrallah stressed that “what happened in Gaza was a clear and open Israeli aggression, no [projectiles] were launched from Gaza, so that [the regime] can say it was reacting to something, similar to its usual and previous excuses.”

“It is the responsibility of every noble person on this planet to denounce [the Israeli attack]. Everyone who remains silent over the crime on Gaza is condemned, this is a crime that must be condemned; silence is unacceptable” he said.

Nasrallah stressed that “the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance have the right to respond to this aggression through the means, the time, and the place they deem appropriate. This is their right,”

He further said “every noble person on this planet must support this [Palestinian] right [to respond]. Not responding against this massacre, and especially considering this is the first assassination after a long period, will open the doors to the Israeli assassination of every Palestinian leader, commander [of the resistance] and the people of Gaza,”

He noted that “we in Hezbollah followed what was happening in Gaza hour by hour, and we are in contact with the leaders of Islamic Jihad, we are also in contact with the leaders of Hamas and the other Palestinian resistance factions.”

“The hands of the resistance was higher in this battle. It is clear that the [Israeli] enemy always makes the wrong calculations. We heard statements of intimidation from the enemy towards the resistance, both in Gaza and Lebanon. [the regime] attacked Gaza and threatened Lebanon. But it is wrong in it’s calculations.”

“Firstly, when [the Israeli regime] began their attack and killed the martyred [Islamic Jihad] commander, they thought that most likely, Gaza would not respond. And that the Islamic Jihad movement would not respond; because of the dire conditions [in Gaza], the (15-year) blockade on Gaza, the harsh conditions, and so on. And here they made a mistake in their strategy; they also made a mistake when they thought they could intimidate the resistance and the people of Gaza.”Nasrallah said.

He explained Israel continues to make strategic mistakes “after all these wars the regime has waged against Gaza, as well as the threats it wages against Lebanon, the enemy is making a tactical mistake if it thinks it is capable of intimidating us or scaring us; as they are currently sending messages. They also have long experiences with [Hezbollah in Lebanon].

Addressing the Israeli regime, Sayyed Nasrallah warned “the enemy, the same thing that happened to you in Gaza, will occur in Lebanon. Do not make an error in Lebanon. Everything that you do and everything that you say, will not affect neither our willpower, our spirit, or our decisions; not a single bit.”

“We have faith in our lord, in ourselves, in our power and we have faith in your weakness, your demise, and cowardice. I advise the enemy that is sending these messages to halt their delivery. In Lebanon, the resistance will not stay silent on any infringement or denial of our rights” Nasrallah said.

He added that “all the psychological warfare and threats that the enemy is coming out with, the last one from the minister of economy” Nasrallah said smiling, “if it was the agricultural minister we could have said he was holding [referring to an antique farmer’s equipment] for example, but the economy minister came out and threatened to wipe out southern Lebanon.”

“You can say what you want and I’m not going to respond to this threat,” Nasrallah said, “after patience and waiting we will recover with time what is right and what was lost. The resistance today is stronger than at any time in it’s entire history.”

The Israeli occupation began its aggression on the Gaza Strip on Friday. The al-Quds Brigades announced “the ascension of Taysir al-Jabari as a martyr of the Israeli aggression”, a military commander in the northern Gaza Strip, and also announced “the martyrdom of the commander Khaled Saeed Mansour, a member of the Military Council and commander of the southern region with the al-Quds Brigades”.

A ceasefire was brokered via Egypt on Sunday night, (which Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said was backed by regional and international actors but not because of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip) and was held throughout the night and into Monday.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, the indiscriminate and savage Israeli bombardment killed 45 civilians, including 15 children and four women, while hundreds of others have been injured.

In a statement, the housing ministry said the regime’s attacks completely destroyed 18 residential buildings while 71 others have been partially damaged and are currently inhabitable, it added that 1,675 other buildings have been partially damaged but are still habitable.

At the start of the unjustified assault on Gaza, the regime indicated that its military campaign would last a week but it was forced to cease fire after three days. Israel also made sure to steer clear of targeting Hamas positions in an attempt to avoid dragging the group’s arsenal of missiles into the latest outbreak of fighting.

The retaliation of the Palestinian resistance was barrages of missiles fired at dozens of Israel settlements, some as large as cities (including the targeting of Tel Aviv). The response caused air sirens to echo across the occupied terrorists with footage showing Israeli settlers rushing toward bomb shelters or being evacuated to other settlements.

The more than 1,000 retaliatory Palestinian missiles, that sent Israeli settlers fleeing to bomb shelters in Tel Aviv and other major settlements across the occupied Palestinian territories took Israel by surprise, as the Palestinian retaliation from Gaza continued in the minutes leading up to the ceasefire at 23:30.

The Islamic Jihad movement declared “a victory” for the Palestinians as the Israeli regime could not cope with the resistance for more than 56 hours. Israel had no plan or strategy and similar to the eleven-day battle last year, the regime resorted to killing women and children in a bid to try and halt the retaliatory fire.

On Monday, the opening of crossings into the coastal enclave allowed fuel trucks in to supply Gaza’s power plant and increase the availability of electricity.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – While many observers in Lebanon and beyond were projecting a total collapse of order in the Mediterranean Arab country, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah opened a new pathway for Lebanon to break free from a U.S.-led economic straitjacket.

Nasrallah dropped a bombshell last week when he announced that an oil tanker carrying Iranian fuel oil was bound for Lebanon. Addressing a commemorative ceremony marking the Day of Ashura on Thursday, Hezbollah’s chief announced that the first of several ships loaded with fuel oil would sail from Iran to Lebanon within hours, warning the United States and Israel against targeting it.

“Our first ship has completed all arrangements and will sail within hours from Iran to Lebanon with the blessing of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him),” he said, noting, “This ship will be followed by other ships, but we gave priority to diesel oil on the first ship because it is a top priority and is linked to people’s lives.”

In a stark warning to Washington and Tel Aviv, which oppose any fuel trade between Tehran and Beirut, Nasrallah declared that the ship will be considered as a Lebanese property the moment it leaves Iran and that any aggression against it would be seen as an aggression against Lebanon. “God willing, this ship and others will arrive safely, we don’t want confrontation with anyone. We are only after helping our people… We reject to be humiliated in any military, political or economic war. We refuse the humiliation of our people, let no one dare to challenge us,” he asserted.

The announcement sent the U.S. ambassador to Lebanon scrambling to find a way to prevent Lebanon from importing fuel from Iran. The ambassador, Dorothy Shea, rushed to speak with Lebanese President Michel Aoun hours after Nasrallah’s announcement.

“President Aoun received a phone call from the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, informing him of the U.S. administration’s decision to help Lebanon import electricity from Jordan through Syria through Egyptian gas,” the Lebanese presidency said on Twitter. It also quoted Shea as saying that “transfer of Egyptian gas will be facilitated through Jordan and Syria to northern Lebanon.”

Shea also told Aoun that negotiations are underway with the World Bank to secure financing for the cost of Egyptian gas, the repair and strengthening of electricity transmission lines, and the required maintenance of gas pipelines.

The U.S. ambassador’s conversation marked the return of her anti-Hezbollah media activism. During the Trump administration, Shea had launched a propaganda campaign against Hezbollah in parallel with the Trump White House’s tightening of the noose on Hezbollah.

If Lebanon is now in an economic tailspin, it’s largely because of the U.S. continued efforts to prevent any economic cooperation with Beirut under the pretext of combating Hezbollah’s influence. U.S. Arab allies in the region, who once helped Lebanon financially, have refrained from providing any aid to the religiously diverse Arab country.

Then there was the Iranian helping hand. Iran has always offered to help the Lebanese people. But political factionalism and malign foreign influence in Beirut have stood in the way of Iranian help.

Nasrallah announced the import of Iranian fuel only after the fuel crisis in Lebanon reached new heights with almost all Western countries and their Arab allies refusing to alleviate the crisis.

And when Hezbollah declared the start of the import of Iranian fuel, Shea saw an opportunity to exploit the situation. First, Lebanese politicians and media outlets close to the West started to spread speculations about possible American penalties being leveled against Lebanon for importing fuel from a country under U.S. sanctions that is Iran. Second, Shea presented the old idea of importing gas and electricity from Egypt through Jordan and Syria, a project that is likely to make Lebanon chose between integration into a regional energy network that includes Israel and facing a total economic collapse.

Nasrallah has offered a third way that would protect Lebanon’s sovereignty and improve the lives of its people. Iran does not dictate any terms whatsoever on the Lebanese and that they can buy anything from Iran without needing to sacrifice their interests on the altar of the American promise of help.
