Referring to the U.S. warmongering across the globe, Salami said that Washington has waged more than 40 major wars in 40 parts of the world.

Over 8 million deaths have resulted from direct wars waged by the U.S., which has recorded more than 200 interventions in the internal affairs of other countries in the form of coups, economic sanctions, military invasions and civil sedition plots, he added.

The IRGC chief also noted that Washington, through more than 750 US military bases abroad, has sought to establish a widespread political dominance, stressing that the United States has turned into “a factory producing dictators all over the world.”

“The Islamic Revolution of Iran disrupted the atmosphere of political domination, and a unique and amazing victory over American policy occurred. It shattered the American political order that sought to rule half of the planet. IRGC chief highlighted that the Iranian nation will not exchange its independence due to sanctions and they have accepted its consequences.

The navy will be empowered and equipped with launching systems to counter enemy vessels, he added.

Meanwhile, in the ceremony, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces said that competent men who are responsible for defending against and attacking the enemy on speedboats turn these vessels into unique power.

“The IRGC navy started its battle at sea against the United States, and today, day by day and moment by moment, it is growing and improving its capabilities and readiness,” said Major General Mohamad Bagheri.

“With some features such as agility, high maneuverability, high firepower, stealth as much as possible, and many other features, the speedboat plays an irreplaceable role in the sea,” he highlighted.

General Bagheri went on to say, “The Navy is growing and progressing considerably in missile combat, mine combat, submarine and surface combat in addition to vessels.”

Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said that Iran will respond decisively to the assassination of the country’s prominent nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

“The sworn enemies of Islamic Iran must know that we will continue the path of this martyr and the path of martyrs will never stop,” said Major General Hossein Salami on Tuesday on the sidelines of the commemoration ceremony of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Stating that the enemy is focused on the strengths of the Iranians out of fear, he added, “To resort to criminal acts such as assassination means that we must train the likes of Martyr Fakhrizadeh.”

He emphasized that the path of this martyr will continue with more determination by his students, saying, “The enemies must await our reactions; we determine the time, place and quality of the response.”

Previously, IRGC Chief Commander in a message had highlighted, “The enemies of the Iranian nation, especially the commanders, perpetrators and supporters of this crime, should know that such crimes will not undermine the determination of the Iranians to continue this glorious and authoritarian path, and severe revenge and punishment of the perpetrators are on the agenda.”

Meanwhile yesterday, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps stressed the revenge on perpetrators of the Iranian scientist assassination is definite.

Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi announced the progress of the investigation on the case of the assassination of Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, saying that the final results will be declared as soon as possible.

“We will definitely move forward in this case, and various relevant institutions from the IRGC and the Ministry of Intelligence are investigating this case around the clock,” he said.

Emphasizing on taking revenge on the perpetrators and commanders of the assassination of Martyr Fakhrizadeh, Fadavi said, “We will definitely act as soon as our response is sufficient and appropriate.”

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense and a scientist in the country’s nuclear industry, was martyred on Friday (November 27th) in a terrorist attack around Tehran.

The assassination of the Iranian prominent nuclear and defense scientist followed many international reactions and many countries including Syria, Russia, Swiss, Venezuela, South Africa, Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, and Afghanistan condemned it.

Attending the open session of the parliament on the occasion of Holy Defense Week, General Salami said: “There is no military option available for the U.S. and war is ruled out. They are using economic pressure and psychological warfare. We have to work day and night in this economic war. The enemy is neither able nor willing to solve our problems, and the path to our prosperity does not pass through interaction with the U.S. If we compromise with the United States, it will damage us. Every nation does not break until it bends, and the story of compromise is a political deception.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the IRGC chief commander described the 1980-1988 Iraqi imposed war on Iran as “a world war,” citing the military support provided by Britain, Germany, France, Austria, the Soviet Union and the U.S. to the regime of Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein.

“The world attacked us at the height of its power, while we were at the height of our scarcity and loneliness, and this was the most unequal war in history after Ashura,” he said, referring to the Battle of Karbala in southern Iraq in 680 AD, during which the third Shia Imam and his 72 companions were martyred after fighting courageously for justice against the much larger army of the Umayyad caliph, Yazid I.”

“The Iranian nation achieved grandeur in the war, acted beyond the will of big powers, shattered their dream and stood against great enemies,” Salami stressed.

The IRGC commander emphasized: “The United States has gradually lost its influence and has not been able to achieve a field victory. It brought ISIS to the scene, and we made the U.S. failed at no cost and foiled its aspirations for the changing of West Asia. The U.S. is retreating.”

Referring to the harsh economic sanctions imposed on Iran, Gen Salami said: “Once again, we fight in this economic war, which has a global dimension. People endure hardships because they want dignity and independence.”

Salami also highlighted the role of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in guiding the nation on the path of resistance, saying the Leader did not buckle under the enemies’ pressure and helped Iranians stand against their economic sanctions.

“The Iranian people want dignity. The Iranian people do not exchange their independence, honor, freedom and magnanimity for anything,” he said.

Although military avenues are closed to the enemies, they have opted for economic and psychological warfare against the Islamic Republic, the IRGC chief commander underlined.
