TEHRAN (Iran News) – In an interview with Al-Manar TV Channel on Monday, Mohsen Rezaei said that in response to the assassination and martyrdom of General Soleimani, Iran dealt a fatal and courageous blow to the US base of Ain al-Asad, although Iran could have punished the United States more.

Referring to the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, he highlighted that a new war has begun between Iran and its enemies and this war continues.

As the end of the Trump administration comes to an end, the United States, in cooperation with the Zionist regime, is carrying out a series of actions against Iran, which in any case is another war, and it is natural to have martyrs in this war, but the war is not over yet, he added.

Emphasizing that it is Iran that will end the war, Rezaei said that Iran will punish the Zionist regime so that the Arab compromising countries will realize that they have made a big mistake.

He noted that Iran has started a situation of resistance since two years ago, which has been an effective and constructive resistance so far, pointing to the downing of a US spy drone in the Persian Gulf and the seizure of a UK ship.

Iran Calls on Iraq to Pursue Assassination of Gen. Soleimani

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani called on Iraq to seriously pursue the case of American assassination of top Iranian commander General Qassem Soleimani.

In a meeting with Iraq’s Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, held in Tehran on Sunday, Shamkhani said Iran expects the Baghdad government to seriously pursue the cowardly assassination of General Soleimani through international organizations.

Denouncing the American assassination of Lt. General Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as a brazen example of state-sponsored terrorism, Shamkhani said the least punishment for such a grave crime is that those behind the plot must immediately get out of the region, specifically out of Iraq.

For his part, Hussein praised Iran for supporting the Iraqi government and nation in the fight against Takfiri terrorism, stressing that no foreign party can undermine the close relations between the two neighbors.

In July, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned the United States that Iran will definitely reciprocate the assassination of Lt. General Soleimani.

In a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never forget the American assassination of the top commander in Iraq and “it will definitely deal the reciprocal blow to Americans.”

On January 3, a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport assassinated General Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. The attack — that also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) anti-terror group, along with several others — came while General Soleimani was on an official visit to the Iraqi capital.

Arrest for 36 People Involved in Gen. Soleimani Assassination Issued

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Tehran’s prosecutor said 36 people involved in the assassination of Iranian top commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani have been identified and the judiciary has ordered their arrest.

Ali Alqasimehr said the judiciary has also given their names to the international police to capture them, according to IFP News.

US President Donald Trump is top on the list and his prosecution will be pursued even after his term ends, Tehran’s prosecutor added.

He underlined that these people are accused of “murder” and conducting “acts of terrorism ”.

General Soleimani was the commander of the IRGC Quds Force and was widely known as a key figure in the fight against Daesh terrorists in the region. He was killed in a US airstrike ordered by Trump at Baghdad International Airport on January 3.
