Keyvan Kashefi added on Sunday that the building of Iranian trade center has been constructed in an area of 4,000 square meters and purchased, equipped and become operational using the investments by Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce, IRNA reported.

He noted that the center’s building has 12 floors, of which two are used for holding exhibitions and the rest for offering different services in the fields of marketing, transport and providing legal, banking, insurance and exhibition consultations.

Kashefi said the building has an excellent geopolitical position for setting up companies and conducting economic activities.

Noting that the center has been fully equipped and has meeting halls for holding economic conferences, he gave the assurance that launching the center has made it possible to establish connections with chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture in important Syrian cities such as Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Latakia.

“At present, 24 Iranian companies have begun their activities at the center.”

He expressed hope that the center would help improve the level of economic relations between the two countries’ private sectors, saying the center can play an important role in enabling Iran to achieve the target of exporting non-oil products valued at $1 billion to Syria by the end of 2021.
