“To ensure the security of this year’s Arbaeen, we will use modern equipment, drones and all we have at our disposal,” he told Mehr on Saturday.

Every year Shia Muslims from across the globe came into Iraq to commemorate the 40th day after Ashura. Pilgrims travel miles on foot to reach the shrine of Imam Hussain in Karbala. Providing security for a dozen million people who attend the ceremony is achieved by cooperation between different Iranian Armed Forces, such IRGC, police, with Iraqi security bodies.

Capabilities of forces for increasing Arbaeen security grows by the day, highlighted Fadavi.

According to reports, some 14 million pilgrims took part in the March of Arbaeen last year, 2.35 million of which were Iranian pilgrims.

The trek symbolizes of a peaceful utopia where no one is hungry or homeless. People are giving away free food and drinks, offering their houses to the pilgrims, and pilgrims themselves are treating one another as brothers and selflessly regardless of their social class, race, color, religion, etc.

Thousands of Mawkibs (voluntarily prepared stations providing pilgrims with free food and place to rest) , stalls providing free of charge foods, beverages, accommodation, and medicines, are set up along the way to Karbala and the holy shrines as many believe that taking care of pilgrims of Imam Hossein (AS) and serving them is a religious duty.

Trump’s leadership leads to decline of western civilization: Salami

Deputy Commander of Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that leadership of individuals such as Donald Trump will lead to the decline of western civilization.

Brigadier General Hossein Salami made the remarks Monday in a local ceremony.

“Today individuals such as Trump are leading the western civilization toward a decline since when there is no correct political philosophy, the society will move toward deterioration,” he said.

Despite the enemies’ attempts to destroy Iran’s Revolution over the past decades, the Islamic Republic has managed to become “a true model of Islamic civilization”, he highlighted.

IRGC second-in-command went on to say that “our 40-year-old struggle with the enemies is on this very issue that if this model succeeds, it will cross geographical boundaries.”

“Today, we are even surpassing the United States in some scientific fields. This power, which has been formed today in support of our Revolution, is the power of our beliefs and values, not the power of money and intimidation.”

“In the meantime, all that you have experienced during the past forty years by the enemy plots, ranging from military invasion to embargos and economic pressure, psychological operations and security interference, is the story of a failure in defeating the Islamic Revolution,” he added.

It has been proven that no world power is able to defeat the Islamic Revolution, Salami stressed

Iran doesn’t lack anything to make progress in different fields, he said, adding, “we shouldn’t rely on the enemy.”
