According To Iran News, A defense adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the US-initiated plan for Palestine, known as deal of the century, is going to accelerate the process of elimination of the Zionist regime from the region.

Addressing a cultural conference in the city of Arak on Friday, Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said the deal of the century reveals the collapse of the US’ dignity in the region.

“If the Americans reviewed the history of their activities in Palestine, they would definitely not take such measure, because this move has come from the disabled mind of Trump,” the former defense minister of Iran noted.

He also advised the US president to refer to the history to realize that the era of thuggery is over and that “the deal of the century is going to facilitate the process of elimination of the Zionist regime from the region.”

Deal of the century is the greatest threat to the US president and his administration, General Dehqan added.

Last week, Donald Trump unveiled his long-delayed Middle East plan, a proposal Palestinian leaders called a “conspiracy” that “will not pass”.

Following Trump’s announcement, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said “a thousand no’s to the plan.

Addressing a large gathering of people from all walks of life in Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to Trump’s recent move to unveil the deal of the century and said, “The Americans have dreamt that by giving a big name to their plan against the Palestinian people, it will be successful.”

However, the leader added, this US-Israeli plot is so “absurd and evil” and has turned out to be to their detriment from the very beginning.

This plan will die before Trump dies, Ayatollah Khamenei stated, adding that this plot will never yield any result and, therefore, spending money on it and launching a campaign for it is “a stupid thing to do”.

“The Americans have made a deal with the Zionists on something they do not own,” the Leader said, adding that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and making any decision on their land is up to them.

Ayatollah Khamenei further emphasized that the plot against Palestinians will be to the detriment of those who hatched it and will lead to the revival of the Palestinian issue.

Palestinians have cut off all contacts with the Trump administration since the US president broke with decades of bipartisan policy to recognize Jerusalem al-Quds as the capital of Israel in December 2017.

In June 2018, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated the need for a referendum among “true Palestinians of all faiths,” being Muslims, Christians or Jews, adding that such a move would lead to the establishment of the Palestinian government.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the referendum and the subsequent formation of such a governing system would eventually translate into the destruction of the “bogus regime” of Israel in the not-too-distant future.

In a telephone conversation on Wednesday, Zarif and Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah discussed the developments in the region and Palestine in particular.

In the phone call, Iran minister roundly condemned the imposed and treacherous plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, voiced support for the unanimous stance of the Palestinian people and leaders in opposition to the unilateral plan, and emphasized the necessity for unity and solidarity among groups of Palestine in their all-out confrontation with the major plot of the century.

The foreign minister also expounded on Iran’s stances in support of the Palestinian people’s rightful and legitimate struggle against the Zionist occupiers and stressed the need for widespread movements by people and the Islamic countries against the evil American-Zionist ploys.

Politicians and analysts say that through the deal of the century the Trump administration is formally giving the Palestinian lands to Israel.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has called the U.S. proposal the “slap of the century”.

“A procedure has been started since 10 years ago to portray Iran as the main threat in the region in order to make the Arabs accept the Zionist regime’s demands,” he said during a speech at the AJA University of Command and Staff, known as DAFOOS in its Persian acronyms.

Zarif said when the Zionist regime was making arrangements for the Oslo and Madrid peace processes in 1991, the former ambassador of the Zionist regime’s to Iran during the Shah regime had said that “they have decided to replace Arabs with Iran for animosity and make peace with Arabs”.

The chief diplomat said as the Zionist regime and the U.S. fiercely opposed the JCPOA and the world openly realized that Iran is not a “war-mongering” country and thereby their plots to demonize Iran was thwarted, the deal of the century will also foil plots to portray Iran as the enemy of the Arab world.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the general provisions of the plan at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his side on January 28.

At their emergency meetings on Saturday and Monday, both the Arab League and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) rejected the deal of the century.

‘Certain regional countries imagine they can buy security’

Zarif also said that certain countries in the region have the illusion that they can “buy security” and this is the main impediment to implementing the Hormuz peace plan proposed by Iran.

Iran has proposed a series of plans for regional security and their last one is the Hormuz peace plan which has been welcomed by a number of regional countries, he stated.

“There are three countries, which in my opinion do not seek peace; they think they can keep the United States in the region if they show that the region is not secure. There is an assumption in our region that security can be bought. This is the main impediment to the Hormuz peace plan,” Zarif pointed out.

At the United Nations summit in New York in late September 2019, Iran formally unveiled the proposal for regional security, officially called the Hormuz Peace Endeavour (HOPE).

“Based upon the historical responsibility of my country in maintaining security, peace, stability, and progress in the Persian Gulf region and Strait of Hormuz, I would like to invite all the countries directly affected by the developments in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz to the ‘Coalition for Hope’, meaning Hormuz Peace Endeavor,” President Hassan Rouhani told the UN delegates.

Zarif has invited all regional states to join Iran’s initiative for securing the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

In a tweet in September, Zarif said the initiative entails “dialogue, confidence-building, freedom of navigation, energy security, non-aggression, and non-intervention”.

In a post on his Twitter account on October 15, Zarif renewed Iran’s call to all countries bordering the Persian Gulf to join Tehran’s initiative to “forge a blueprint for peace, security, stability, and prosperity” in the region.

‘Participation in elections will prove the failure of Trump’s policy’

After his speech to high-ranking officers, Zarif told reporters that the people’s participation in parliamentary elections on February 21 will prove that Washington must stop maximum pressure and admit the failure of Trump’s policy and lift sanctions and return to the 5+1 group.

Trump unilaterally quit the nuclear deal in May 2018 and introduced the harshest ever sanctions in history on Iran as part of his administration’s “maximum pressure” strategy against Iran.

Many analysts and think tanks believe that the maximum pressure policy has failed.

According to Carter, deal of the century designated by Trump administration and its allies, “Breaches international law regarding self-determination, the acquisition of land by force, and annexation of occupied territories.”

In a statement issued by his office, Carter also affirmed, “The new US plan undercuts prospects for a just peace between Israelis and Palestinians. If implemented, the plan will doom the only viable solution to this long-running conflict, the two-state solution,” CNN reported.

Therefore, he urged UN member-states to adhere to UN Security Council resolutions and to reject any unilateral Israeli implementation of the proposal by grabbing more Palestinian land.

He argued, “By calling Israel ‘the nation-state of the Jewish people’, the plan also encourages the denial of equal rights to the Palestinian citizens of Israel.”

Trump’s so-called peace plan recognizes Israeli sovereignty over most of the Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley, as well as an undivided Jerusalem in the middle of it.

A peace plan, alleged “The Middle East Peace”, has been sketched out up by Jared Kushner, senior advisor to his father-in-law, U.S. President Donald Trump, and for months it has been the topic of newspapers and media. According to the reports and details of the plan, it is to be implemented in ten years and in the Occupied Lands, West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

This plan which has been named the “Deal of the Century” includes a 50-billion-dollar investment and according to its details, $25b investment will be done in Palestine and the remaining will be invested in Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon. The supporters of the plan claim that this will lead to creation of millions of jobs in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and in the wake of it, the unemployment rate will fall from 30 percent to 10 percent.

During the unveiling ceremony of the plan which was held in the White House on January 29 and in presence of the U.S. President Donald Trump as well as Israeli Prime Minister and ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman, Kushner revealed more details of the plan whose draft had been presented earlier in a workshop in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. Kushner in his speech claimed that 179 infrastructural and trade projects would be carried out in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula where Palestinians living in adjacent Gaza Strip could invest in them.

In the ceremony, Kushner also announced readiness of some rich Persian Gulf states as well as the private sector’s readiness for investment in the plan, adding that a new investment fund for the Palestinians and neighboring states would be administered by a “multilateral development bank.” Global financial lenders including the International Monetary Fund and World Bank plan to be present at the meeting.

He sees his economic approach as resembling the Marshall Plan, which Washington introduced in 1948 to rebuild Western Europe from the devastation of World War Two. Unlike the U.S.-funded Marshall Plan, however, the latest initiative would put much of the financial burden on other countries.

Egypt and Jordan announced their readiness to take part in the second workshop which will be held in Manama to review the economic aspects of the U.S. peace plan, so called the “Deal of Century”.

Reacting to the “Deal of Century” peace plan, several high-ranking officials in the world took acceptable stands and condemned the plan. One of these officials was Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff, who in a message condemned this act of delusionist and terrorist U.S. President and called operationalization of the plan a big plot against the ideal and rights of Palestinian nation.

Baqeri said, “Undoubtedly, unveiling the Zionist-American plan so-called the “Deal of Century” is a historical and strategic mistake that pursues the occupation of Palestine in the region as the major part of the 70-year-old Zionist failed plot.”

Despite all of these concerns that this plan has created, I myself believe that Trump will not spend even a cent on this plan and this is the main reason for its and its unseriousness.

The current U.S. economic growth, currently under 3 percent, makes the country unable spend huge money in such projects. While Zionist regime and main supporter of the plan, the U.S., expect Persian Gulf Arab states to pay the expense of their historic dishonor, one can definitely say all people of the region and the world oppose Israelization of the first qiblah of Muslims, Bait-ul-Muqaddas. So how can one expect this project progress seriously?

It is not too far that Hand of Power and Almighty would dethrone Bahrain government and its satellite friends behind financing this plot.
