The deputy for international affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Mr. Mohammad Reza Karbasi, Head of Iran-Belgium-Luxemburg Joint Chamber of Commerce and Iran’s ambassador to Belgium were present also in the webinar.

In the meeting, Karbasi talked about the economic cooperation between Iran and Luxemburg and added that several trade delegations were exchanged between the two countries in 2016 and 2017 and the talks were held satisfactorily.

He added that Luxemburg enjoys having high capacities in banking system, adding that due to the positive trend of the talks, Iran can use Luxemburg in equipping its banking infrastructures.

Karbasi noted that Iran has capacity to increase its exports of dried fruits, plastic materials and mineral materials to Luxemburg, adding that it is necessary direct channels between the related formations to be launched.

Then he called for holding several specialized workshops in the mutual interested fields of the two countries like technology, information technology and construction, reiterating that B2B and online meetings between the economic activists will help the economic ties between both countries to develop. He stated they can hold banking education and training courses for the managers of the private banks of Iran.

Then Head of Iran-Belgium-Luxemburg Joint Chamber of Commerce Ms. Leyla Rostami said that the ground is ready for cooperation with Luxemburg in the field of foodstuff especially dairy products and medicines which are not under sanctions and the direct banking relations with the banks of Belgium and Luxemburg is possible in those fields.

At the end of the webinar, it was decided the chambers of the two countries to hold a webinar for getting acquainted with Iran’s economy in order that economic activists of Luxemburg to get familiar with Iran’s trade potentials.

Hossein Shirzad, who is also the CEO of the Central Organisation for Rural cooperatives of Iran(CORC), said on the 21st of April,2019 a herd of Murcia goat was imported from Spain to Yazd province. Aiming to create a valuable genetic reservoir of the lightweight cattle, enhancing the productivity of the livestock inputs, supporting small and sustainable rural enterprises, and improving the goat dairy industry, the first meeting of the coordination committee was held in the Yazd province.

“Farming goat kids in the certificated systems is one of the technical procedure that is persuing by the partnership of the livestock farming unions of Yazd, Taft, and Jameahe Gostar agro-cooperatives. Meanwhile, the whole capital of this project is supplied by the cooperative sector,” he added.

Having economic herd indexes, including high yield, long lactation duration, short adolescence period, lactation of the high content of fat, protein, and lactose as well as climate compatibility, Murcia goat farming project, could enhance food security, regionally and nationwide.
