The Iranian president wished health and success for President Vladimir Alexandrovich Zelensky and prosperity and glory for the people of Ukraine.

Rouhani also expressed hope that Tehran-Kyiv relations would develop day by day in line with the interests of the two countries.

Independence Day of Ukraine is the main state holiday in modern Ukraine, celebrated on 24 August in commemoration of the Declaration of Independence of 1991.

Rouhani felicitates Iran’s championship in FIVB U21 world event

Championship of the young Iranian players in the world event gives hope of a shining future for the country’s volleyball, Rouhani wrote in a late Saturday tweet. He also congratulated the victory to all members of the team.

In separate messages, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi, Sports Masoud Soltanifar, and Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei also felicitated this championship.

“This victory taste sweeter for the nation in the period of economic sanctions and pressures to isolate Iran. Your success showed that we can be successful in all fields with hard work and hope,” said Rabiei.

Iran earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory (17-25, 25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12) over Italy on Saturday in Bahrain to lift the world trophy for the first time in its history.

The bronze medal of 2007 edition was the best result of Iran in the competition before this year’s gold.

The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship was held in Riffa, Bahrain from July 18 to 27.

Rouhani felicitates Ghana on Independence Day

In a Wednesday message to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani offered sincerest congratulations to him and the people of Ghana on the Independence Day of the country.

“I hope that with regard to the political will and ample economic potentials of the two countries, we will witness further development of relations in bilateral and multilateral fields,” he noted as quoted by the official website of Iran’s Presidency.

“I wish Your Excellency health and success and the people of the Republic of Ghana prosperity and felicity,” Rouhani added.

On March 6, 1957, Prime Minister Kwame Nkrumah declared independence of Ghana from the United Kingdom. Ghana became the first sub-Saharan African country to achieve independence from the UK.

Rouhani felicitates Kuwait on national day

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Emir of Kuwait on the country’s national day and expressed hope for further expansion of relations between the two nations.

In a Monday message to Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Rouhani offered sincere congratulations to him and the people of Kuwait on the country’s National Day.

Rouhani expressed hope that the ties between the two Muslim and brother countries would be expanded in all fields.

He further wished Kuwaiti Emir health and success and the people of Qatar prosperity and felicity.

February 25 marks Kuwait National Day as it is the day when Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah ascended to the throne back in 1950.

Rouhani felicitates Qatar on National Day

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Qatar’s National Day and expressed hope for further expansion of relations between the two nations.

In a letter to Emir of Qatar on Tuesday, Rouhani offered him and the people of the country congratulations on the National Day of Qatar and expressed hope that Tehran-Doha relations would further deepen in all fields of mutual interest.

“I am confident that by taking advantage of the potentials and capabilities that exist in the two countries, we can take valuable steps for establishing peace and stability in the region and promote the relations between the two countries in all fields of mutual interest,” Rouhani wrote.

He further wished Qatari Emir health and success and the people of Qatar prosperity and felicity.

On 18 December 1878, Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani unified all the local tribes by combating external forces, such as the United Kingdom. The holiday was established by a 21 June 2007 decree Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Most of the public are given the day off from school and work on the national holiday which is also known as the Founder’s Day celebrated annually on December 18.
