“Bystander” honored at Russian festival

“Bystander” by Iranian director Sheida Kashi has received a diploma at Saint Vladimir, an international festival of cinema and TV films with spiritual and moral content in Sevastopol, Russia.

The animation received the diploma for “expanding the artistic possibilities of animation”, the organizers announced on last week.

The animation tells the story of an old man who witnesses a revolution in his country.

“Donetsk Vratarnitsa” by Natalia Batraeva from Russia received the Grand Prix of the festival, which was held from October 20 to 24.

‘Bystander’ to vie at 3rd Slemani filmfest. in Iraq

Iranian short animation ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi has been accepted into the screening program of 3rd Slemani International Film Festival in Iraqi Kurdistan region.

‘Bystander’ is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he had participated in a revolution.

The 8-minute animation had recently won Best Animation award at the 2018 International Youth Film Festival “Light of the World” in Russia, as well as the Best Short Animation award in the 2018 Picture this…film festival in Canada.

Iranian feature ‘Golnesa’ by Sattar Chamani Gol is also taking part in the Feature Film Official Selection of the festival. ‘Alphabet’ by Kianoush Abedi will be screened at the animation section of the event, alongside ‘Bystander’.

The third edition of Slemani International Film Festival will be held on October 10-16 in Iraqi Kurdistan region

Iranian short animation ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi has been accepted into the screening program of 11th Iranian Film Festival in San Francisco, US.

‘Bystander’ is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he had participated in a revolution.

Iranian Film Festival (IFF) – San Francisco, is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world. IFF is the independent Iranian film festival outside of Iran, launched in 2008.

The 11th edition of the event will be held on 22-23 September 2018.

‘Bystander’ wins Best Animation at Russia’s filmfest.

Iranian short animation ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi has won Best Animation award at the 2018 International Youth Film Festival “Light of the World” in Russia.

The International Youth Film Festival ” Light of the World” is one of the largest youth film festivals in Russia, having screened works by 2500 young filmmakers from over 30 countries around the world during its seven-year run.

‘Bystander’ by Sheyda Kashi won the Best Animation award at the 8th edition of the event.

‘Bystander’ is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he had participated in a revolution.

The 8-minute animation had previously received two awards for the best animated short films at the 3rd Cinemaway Film Festival in Ukraine and Sobytie Film Festival in Russia. It also grabbed the Best Short Animation award in the 2018 Picture this…film festival in Canada.

The 8th International Youth Film Festival “Light of the World” was held on 23-27 May, 2018 in Russia.

SAGA is a new festival launched to protect Female filmmakers; the festival will take place from June 1-3, 2018 in Australia.

Iranian short animation ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi will vie for top prizes at the 2nd International University Festival Cine-literature of Agadir (FUICLA) in Morocco.

‘Bystander’ is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he was an active revolutionary.

The 2nd edition of the International University Festival Cine-literature of Agadir (FUICLA) will be held on 10-12 May, 2018, in the city of Agadir in Morocco.

According to the festival’s website, a competition will be organized to reward the best films based on literature produced by the winners of cinema and audiovisual schools.

TEHRAN– Iranian short animated piece ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi won the best short animated movie award at the 3rd Cinemaway Film Festival in Ukraine.

The short film had previously received the award for the best animated short film at the Sobytie Film Festival in Russia held on October 1-4, in three sections of theaters, short films and photo art.

The 8:23 long animation has also been previously screened in the Short to the Point film festival in Romania and Banjaluka film festival in Bosnia.

Cinemaway is a Ukranian film and media festival, dedicated to media and visual culture. The event is organized in three parts, including creative workshop, movie forum and film competition.

Sheyda Kashi’s animated piece ‘Bystander’ will be screened in the third edition of the Ukrainian film festival scheduled for November 1-4, 2017, in the city of Lviv, western Ukraine.

The 8:23 long animation has been previously screened in the Short to the Point film festival in Romania and Banjaluka film festival in Bosnia.
