TEHRAN (Iran News) – British, the Godfather of Zionists. As long as the West supports vehemently the Zionists, this illegal and usurping regime will continue its crimes regardless of any resolution adopted by the United Nations against it because they are well aware that the U.N.’s resolution against them should not be taken seriously because of being toothless.

On Friday and in an unexpected move but it seems on the occasion of the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the British government announced that it intended to label Hamas “a terrorist organization” on Friday. British Home Secretary Priti Patel said on Twitter that she had “acted to proscribe Hamas in its entirety” as the military wing of the resistance movement has been banned in the UK since 2001. The ban, which requires parliamentary approval, would make it illegal in Britain to be a member of Hamas or to express support for the movement, with a maximum penalty of 14 years in jail.

This British move faced protests and strong reactions by the Muslim states and Palestinians but it pleased the Zionists who saw the British support of them publicly. Of course the move was unexpected but it was not strange because everybody is well aware of the history of the emergence of the Zionist regime as this regime was almost created by the British.

The Balfour Declaration was a public statement issued by the British government in 1917 during the First World War, which laid the foundations for the entity of Israel. The declaration is seen as a catalyst for the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe) where more than 750,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes. The Balfour Declaration came in the form of a letter from Britain’s then-foreign secretary, Arthur Balfour, addressed to Lionel Walter Rothschild, a figurehead of the British Jewish community. It was published on November 2, 1917.

So Priti’s announcement was not strange but it was somewhat strange because of timing of its announcement while the world is trying to solve the Palestinian issue.

The Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas has decried the British government’s decision to designate the group “a terrorist organization” as “continued aggression” on Palestinians and their rights. In a press release on Friday, Hamas said, “Unfortunately, Britain continues with its old delusion, supporting the aggressors at the expense of the victims, instead of apologizing and fixing its historical sin against the Palestinian people,” referring to the Balfour Declaration and the British mandate that handed over Palestinian lands to the Zionist movement.

The British move demonstrates the occupying regime’s attempts to criminalize the struggle of the Palestinian people and therefore the regime needs public support of its mentors like UK and the West.

Unfortunately the passiveness of the international bodies like the United Nations and indifference of the Western states have emboldened the Zionists to continue their crimes while the world is watching their atrocities.

On Thursday the United Nations has overwhelmingly adopted a resolution, which grants Palestinians permanent sovereignty over their natural resources in the Israeli-occupied territories, including East al-Quds.

The Economic and Financial Committee of the UN General Assembly, also known as the Second Committee, endorsed a draft resolution entitled “Permanent Sovereignty of the Palestinian People in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East al-Quds, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources” by 157-7 votes, with 14 abstentions.

But we can realize by seeing the result of this resolution that although majority of the world supports Palestinians, the U.S. and UK are the main supporters and godfathers of the Zionists as they can veto any resolution against the occupying regime. So such resolutions are waste of time and energy and the world needs a united but effective stance to resolve the Palestinian issue and pushing back the Zionists.

As long as the West’s support from the Zionists continues, the Palestinian issue will not be resolved and Palestinians themselves should fight for their lands and they should not wait for any help from the Western-oriented bodies which are under influence of political and financial power of the West.

There are only two solutions for this saga: one is diplomatic and peaceful which is to hold a referendum and to observe the public opinion and the second solution is to fight till dead to save the lands from the hands of usurpers and currently it seems Palestinians have no option but to continue their intifada (Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation) and struggle against the Zionists unless the West and the Zionists come to their senses for choosing the diplomatic and peaceful solution.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – If we take a look back at the history especially in the 16th and 17th centuries, we realize the most famous sea pirates have been British and even the famous Hollywood movie the Pirates of the Caribbean has been inspired by the history of the British pirates.

The most famous pirate of them all was probably Edward Teach, more commonly known as Blackbeard. Blackbeard was born in Bristol and started his career as a crew member for the pirate Benjamin Hornigold. He looked like a devil who had stepped right out of hell and onto a pirate ship and most of his victims simply surrendered their cargo rather than fight him.

Now after almost four centuries, it seems the British have not quit their bad habit and they still continue piracy but in a modern and sophisticated style by taking hostage and freezing the assets of countries under different pretexts.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the victims of the British piracy as the country’s money has been blocked in the UK despite the court’s order for its return. Britain owes as much as £450m to Iran arising from the non-delivery of Chieftain tanks ordered by Iran’s former monarchical regime. An international arbitration in 2008 ruled the UK owed the debt.

Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Britain and Iran had relatively close relations, with Britain offering support to the Persian state in exchange for concessions in sectors such as oil and banking.

The relationship was bumpy at times: in 1953, Britain urged the CIA to carry out a coup against the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, who had nationalized the oil industry.

From 1971 to 1976, the ex-Shah of Iran – faced with the rise of Arab nationalists in Iraq and elsewhere – turned to Britain for a large order of tanks: 1,500 Chieftain battle tanks and 250 repair vehicles in total.

The bill added up to £650m, and the Shah paid it up front, rather than on delivery. Britain managed to deliver 185 tanks to Tehran before history got in the way. Then came 1979, the Shah’s exile and the creation of the modern Islamic Republic of Iran. Relations between London and Tehran went south quickly, with Britain suspending all diplomatic relations. The Islamic Republic of Iran was no longer an ally of the United Kingdom, and it was no longer reasonable to send state-of-the art tanks there. And therefore, British habit of piracy revealed itself once again.

In September 2020, the British Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace, for the first time acknowledged that he is actively seeking to pay a debt to the Iranian government. The UK is thought to owe as much as £450m to the Iranian government arising from the non-delivery of Chieftain tanks ordered by the Shah of Iran before his overthrow in 1979.

An international arbitration in 2008 ruled the UK owed the debt, but in subsequent protracted court battles, lawyers acting for International Military Services, the Ministry of Defense’s now-defunct arms sales agency, have questioned not only the debt’s size, but at times whether any debt was payable.

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in meeting with the new British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss once again urged that the UK take action towards repaying its debt towards Iran.

Rebuilding of the bilateral ties took serious action, Amir-Abdollahian asserted, urging London to note that taking such action on its obligations constituted the only means of reconstructing the relations.

Tehran responds proportionately to any positive and constructive step, he, meanwhile, pledged. The British official, for her part, alleged that the UK was prepared to repay the debt.

But it is not the first time that the British statesmen announce readiness for repaying the debt but each time they have refrained from paying due different baseless pretexts like the U.S sanctions.

The British should stop their habit of piracy and respect the international norms and laws and they should not forget this fact that the end of the hit-and-run is over and the Islamic Republic of Iran is not like the Shah’s era and it will fight for any bit of its rights. They should now this fact that Iranians historically have no positive approach or trust to the British and they used to blame the British for any incident in the country.

So if the British want to win Iranian’s trust, they should first repay their debts and stop following the U.S.’s wrong policy of sanctions because it is useless and the West and especially the U.S. and UK will see its backlash in the future as the Islamic Republic is determined to stand against any hegemonic and hit-and-run policy.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – In a Sunday statement, Iran’s Parliament announced that the production of the COVID-19 vaccines by the Iranian young experts is considered an honor to the country, and announced the import of American, British, and French vaccines banned.

The lawmakers stated that in a situation that the country was under the pressure of the sanctions and the European countries refused to issue permission of exporting even face masks to Iran and the people were coping with preparing medical items, the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order Headquarters played the best role.

The headquarter in the very first days of the coronavirus outbreak started to produce face masks, disinfectants, sanctioned medical drugs, medical equipment, and immediate diagnosis kits, turning the threat into an opportunity, the statement added.

The statement highlighted the amazing success of the Iranian young expert to achieve the first vaccine for COVID-19 in the of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order Headquarters, which gained the WHO’s license for the human test.

The Iranian parliamentarians attributed the success in the production of the national vaccine to the jihadi and revolutionary management as well as belief in domestic power and young human resource.

“Given the foreign companies’ lack of documented scientific evidence and production infrastructures and also the impossibility of the examination of the American, British, and French vaccine, on the one hand, and given the existing evidence for the global side-effects and deaths due to the injection of the very vaccines, on the other, Majlis bans the import of the vaccines produced by the American, British, and French companies to prevent risking the compatriots’ health and considered the notes made by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as the final word,” the Iranian lawmakers stressed.

Meanwhile speaking in the northern Mazandaran Province, Health Minister Saeed Namaki also provided scientific reasoning for the rejection of the Western vaccines.

He said the Western vaccines had been produced “based on the mRNA method.” Inside the US itself, he added, some articles had been published showing how the approach could manipulate the recipients’ immune system and afflict them with autoimmune diseases.

“Even in the U.S. and Europe, many people avoid the vaccines because of these speculations,” he said.

Namaki also recalled how the same Western countries had been preventing and severely complicating Iran’s access to medicine in compliance with the U.S. sanctions.

Yemenis Will Punish the British

Canada’s desire to sell arms to Saudi Family is like a taste that it is degusted by a grandmother and is recounted to her grandchild.

British leading company BAE Systems sold £15b worth of arms and services to the Saudi military during the last five years, the period covered by Riyadh’s involvement in the deadly bombing campaign in the war in Yemen.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

British daily the Guardian on Tuesday, April 14 and in an article wrote that according to the company’s most recent annual report, the arms maker company generated £2.5b in revenues from the Saudi military during the whole of 2019.

An official at the Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT) has told the Guardian that the last five years have seen a brutal humanitarian crisis for the people of Yemen, but for BAE it’s been business as usual. The war has only been possible because of arms companies and complicit governments willing to support it. So it is natural and understandable that Saudi Arabia is the third major customer of BAE Systems and the company maintains and supplies Tornado jet aircraft to the kingdom’s airforce and provides “operational capability” to the country’s air and naval forces to operate against Yemenis.

Touching upon the report, BAE Systems spokesperson said that the company provided defense equipment, training and support under government to government agreements between the UK and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.‎

According statistics about world largest arms makers and vendors, BAE is the leading in Europe and second in the world after Lockheed Martin.

Deputy head of the Sit-In Committee of Mahrah Province in Yemen, Sheikh Abboud Qamsiyat, has recently asked British Ambassador to Yemen Michael Aron for pullout of the British forces from Al-Mahrah and has emphasized that British troops should not be involved in the occupation of Al-Mahrah. Saudi Arabia has recently deployed considerable amount of its troops, military vehicles and ammunition in the province.

On Tuesday and reacting to Saudi-coalition forces’ claim of truce, Qamsiyat said that such a request for a truce is useless when Saudi and Emirate forces control the crossings and airports especially in southern ports of Yemen and above all Al-Mahrah. Saudis have taken the full control in the province which gives them this opportunity to take the control of Nishtun Port, Al-Ghaziah Airport as well as Shahn and Sarfit border crossings.

That today Yemeni people burn under fire of Saudi-led coalition and they are dismembered, soon Saudi-led coalition forces and their providers of arms will get proper reply. On the claim of Saudis for a truce with Yemeni forces, it is enough to refer to reports of Al-Mayadeen TV channel showed fierce clashes between Yemeni forces with pro-former Yemeni President Mansour Hadi forces and coalition forces which began in northwest of Marib Province, and during the clashes, Saudi fighter jets for ten times conducted aerial strikes in Sarvah town of Marib Province.

Reuters quoted some sources close to negotiating team between Saudi Arabia and National Salvation Government of Yemen as saying and claimed that both sides have had several contacts since the beginning of the week but the progress for restoring the ceasefire all depends on Ansarullah forces and trust building between both parties.

Some local officials have told Reuters that Saudi coalition started again efforts for negotiations for a truce after their forces launched aerial attacks on towns and villages under control of the army and popular committees in order to stop their advancement in al-Jawf Province (North of Yemen) towards town of Marib, a town which is said is the last stronghold of the resigned-government of Yemen which is supported by Saudis.

Reuters has claimed it has contacted with Spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition Turki Al-Maliki about this claim but he has not replied. The claimed truce of the Saudi-led coalition has begun since last Thursday under the pretext of the breakout of the Coronavirus in Yemen but the National Salvation Government, that Ansarullah is some part of it, called it a deceit and did not accept the call for truce and emphasized that it would only agree with ceasefire in Yemen when the truce is a comprehensive one along with lifting the five-year siege of the country because without lifting the siege, fight with Coronavirus will be impossible while the country’s health and hospital infrastructures have been ruined and its economy has collapsed and it faces shortage of food and medicines.

This point that arms dealers and vendors who have veto and lobbying power are not ready to restore ceasefire in Yemen will not ever be wiped out of Yemenis’ memories because if they want a ceasefire and an end to war in Yemen, it means they have ignored their whooping revenues and petrodollar earnings from arms sales.

Yemeni people undoubtedly will overcome this devastating war but the time will come when they punish the pro-Saudis like the British.

UK Hunger Crisis: 1.5 Million People Go Whole Day without Food

According To Iran News, A hunger crisis is rapidly developing among British people in lockdown, as millions report having to go without meals, food charities and local government warned.

Just three weeks into the lockdown, the Food Foundation said that 1.5 million Britons reported not eating for a whole day because they had no money or access to food. Some 3 million people in total were in households where someone had been forced to skip some meals. More than 1 million people reported losing all their income because of the pandemic, with over a third of them believing they would not be entitled to any government help.

The foundation’s findings are based on a YouGov poll carried out across England, Scotland and Wales this week. Its director, Anna Taylor, said the crisis was too big to be left to food banks and local authorities without funding. “This needs urgent and substantial investment from central government which needs to put money directly into the pockets of families who can’t afford food.”

Charities running food banks are also struggling to cope with a huge rise in people coming to them for emergency parcels. Sabine Goodwin, coordinator of the Independent Food Aid Network, said she feared the government was being too slow to respond and the situation was “spiraling out of control”. She said: “Food banks in our network are seeing as much as a 300% increase in footfall compared to this time last year but are still struggling to source enough appropriate food.”

Local authorities told the Guardian that the Food Foundation findings reflected what they are seeing on the ground. In Liverpool, for example, there has been a 150% increase in emergency grants from the council to people who have no food or money for electricity since the lockdown.

The city has a highly developed network of food banks and food distribution charities which have increased their operations rapidly in the last few weeks.

FareShare, the nationwide distributor of surplus food, is now open longer hours in Liverpool – from 7am to 10pm – and has distributed £380,000 worth of goods to families in need in the last five days.

Football fans supporting food banks have also raised £150,000 to buy more stock but the city’s assistant mayor, Jane Corbett, said families were being hit by “the double whammy of austerity and Covid-19” and charity was not enough on its own.

She warned that the local authority could not pay for the impact of the pandemic without funding from government. “The fragility of our current social security system is now being seen in stark relief; extreme pressure on food banks is just one clear example. Our budget has been cut by 63% since 2013.”

The numbers reporting going hungry in the last three weeks are 1.5 to two times higher than those experiencing hunger over a whole year in recent times, according to Dr. Rachel Loopstra, lecturer in nutrition at King’s College London. “They suggest the Covid-19 lockdown has had a swift and devastating impact on the population’s ability to access sufficient food, both for economic reasons and because of self-isolation,” she said. YouGov polled 4,343 adults from 7-9 April and weighted its figures to represent all British adults.

A government spokesperson said: “Public safety and making sure that those most at risk from the virus get the support they need is our top priority. People should stay at home, to help protect our NHS and save lives.

“We’re working with the groceries industry, local government, local resilience and emergency partners to ensure essential items are delivered as soon as possible to the most vulnerable.”

UK, US Ran Secret Prisons in Iraq after 2003 Invasion

According To Iran News, The US and British military ran at least two secret prisons in Iraq during the months following the 2003 invasion, concealing prisoners from Red Cross inspectors, a report said.

The British army’s most senior legal adviser in the country at the time is understood to have made a criminal complaint to police when he discovered the existence of the black sites, the Middle East Eye reported on Friday.

He said that the prisoners may not have been notified to the Red Cross and may subsequently have been rendered out of the country.

The disclosure comes after a joint investigation by the BBC and Sunday Times newspaper concluded that the British government and senior army commanders covered up evidence that troops had been involved in murder and torture in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

After interviewing 11 former civilian police officers who investigated allegations of war crimes, the two news organizations reported that the UK’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) was determined that no prosecutions should be brought in order to protect the reputation of the country’s military.

One of the two secret prisons that were the subject of the military lawyer’s complaint was inside a joint US-UK forward operating base known as H1, located at an airfield and oil pipeline pumping station in Iraq’s Western Desert.

The second, outside the town of al-Qaim near the Syrian border, was known to coalition forces as Station 22.

The existence of the detention facility at H1 came to light only when an anonymous call was made to a British Royal Air Force (RAF) base in June 2003, alleging that an Iraqi prisoner of war had been beaten to death aboard one of its aircraft while being taken to the prison.

An inquiry by RAF police faced a series of obstacles, and MEE understands that a file on the case at one point disappeared from the offices of RAF lawyers.

Subsequently, a judge-led inquiry published earlier this year established that the victim, who was named in the report as Tariq Sabri Mahmud, had been killed when he was restrained and thrown to the floor inside a Chinook helicopter. His body was promptly buried at H1.

Another prisoner lost consciousness during flight, and a third had his prosthetic legs removed.

These men were among 63 prisoners of war being flown to H1 for interrogation after being detained at a roadblock in western Iraq on April 11, 2003, by Australian and American special forces. It is unclear how many prisoners were detained at H1 in total or how long the detention facility remained in operation.

It is also unclear whether the prisoners were later transferred to the main coalition prisoner of war camp at Umm Qasr, south of Basra.

British army lawyers are understood to have sought information about the prisoners once the existence of the detention facility came to light, but without success.

Clarification on the whereabouts of the prisoners has not been provided to them by the British authorities despite numerous requests.

A senior former army lawyer lodged a complaint with a policing panel, the Iraq Historic Allegations Team (IHAT), that was examining allegations of British war crimes.

Sunday Times reported this week that 11 former IHAT investigators say nothing came of their inquiries because the British government and senior military commanders were determined that no soldiers would face prosecution.

The MoD refused to answer MEE’s questions about H1, would not disclose what happened to the prisoners, and declined to comment on the matter.

Up to 20,000 people were held at Umm Qasr during the years following the invasion.

The US also operated a number of other detention facilities. One, Abu Ghraib, became notorious following the disclosure of a number of photographs showing inmates being abused.

A lesser-known detention facility was run by the US at Balad, north of Baghdad, while another operated, with UK assistance, at Baghdad international airport.

A leaked Red Cross report later showed that its inspectors had grave concerns about the treatment of inmates at Abu Ghraib and had also complained about the mistreatment of some prisoners at Umm Qasr.

US-British-Saudi Support to Terrorists

According To Iran News, US-British-Saudi Support to Salafi Terrorists Led to Decades of Suffering, Says Analyst

An author and analyst based in Sweden highlighted the root causes of the emergence of the Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) terrorist group, whose leader was recently killed in Syria, and said the US-British-Saudi support to Salafism has produced suffering and destruction by such groups.

“The US-British-Saudi support to “Salafist jihadism” has produced incredible suffering and destruction over the past three decades,” Hussein Askary said in an interview with Tasnim.

Askary is an Iraqi-born Swedish citizen. He is the Southwest Asia Coordinator of the International Schiller Institute. Askary has worked as an economic and strategic analyst on Southwest Asia and North and East Africa for the Washington-based weekly magazine Executive Intelligence Review since 1996. He is the co-author of several books on the New Silk Road strategy and its impact on the world economy. His latest book-length special report “Extending the New Silk Road to West Asia and Africa” was published in November 2017. He has spoken on these matters in international conferences and seminars in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Egypt, Sudan, Iran, Japan, and China. In 2018, he wrote an 80-page study on the reconstruction of Yemen and China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The following is the full text of the interview:

Tasnim: US President Donald Trump declared Sunday that Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was dead after a US military raid in northwest Syria over the weekend. In reaction, the spokesman for Iran’s administration, Ali Rabiei, shrugged off the US president’s announcement and said Washington’s policies are the main reason for the emergence of Daesh, adding that the death of Baghdadi does not mean that Takfiri terrorism or “Daeshism” has ended. Do you think the killing of the Daesh leader would play a major role in the fight against terrorism in the region or bring an end to the phenomenon given its root causes?

Askary: While it is true that it was the US policy, at least since 2011, that contributed and directly fueled “Daeshism” under President Obama and his allies in Britain, France and other regional forces who wanted to overthrow the legitimate government in Damascus at whatever price, President Trump is not the typical US president. It seems that President Trump has carefully coordinated this current outcome in Syria with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both sides have had an interest in ending this phenomenon, which goes back all the way to the Afghan war against the Soviet Union in the 1980s. The US-British-Saudi support to “Salafist jihadism” has produced incredible suffering and destruction over the past three decades. I think what we are seeing in Syria is the end of that phenomenon. But it is not thanks to Trump alone, but to Russia, Syria, and Iran too. Russia is leading and coordinating a movement in the region to end this problem in coordination with all parties. All the major regional powers, including Egypt, China and India favor this policy. A new security architecture for the Persian Gulf region, which Russia is proposing, will potentially usher a new era of stability and security in this troubled region.

Tasnim: The US claims that it has started the withdrawal of its troops from Syria and says its forces shouldn’t be there. What was the main reason behind the US military operation? What do you think about the developments behind the scenes?

Askary: I think we should not say “the US” does this or that. There is no “united” US at the moment. There is a big fight going on inside the US. The people who voted for Trump in 2016 were fed up with the political elites, with meaningless wars and the destruction of the US economy. Trump made a promise to those people in 2016 to end US involvement in wars abroad. He cannot go for reelection now without fulfilling part of that promise. In an October 9 Trump press conference, which has been completely blacked out in the American media itself, he said that he was intending to end “useless” and “endless” wars in the Middle East. But he also said something no American president since Dwight Eisenhower has said, which is that those who are interested in waging and continuing wars are the “military industrial complex”. While many of the things President Trump has said can be criticized, he is right on this one.

Tasnim: According to some analysts, the killing of the Daesh leader changes some things for Trump. It temporarily changes the political conversation away from the impeachment inquiry which began a month ago. What do you think? Wasn’t the operation a show-off for media attention?

Askary: The people who want to impeach Trump are no angels. The same people attacked him for withdrawing US forces from Syria. They want to continue the regime-change policies of Bush and Obama. I think the operation to kill Al-Baghdadi was aimed at showing that the decision to withdraw from Syria “after finishing 100% of ISIS” (in the words of Trump) was correct, and it was intended to silence those who criticized him in Washington that his policy will make Daesh rise again. He wanted to crown that with a big achievement that closes that chapter. Whatever Trump’s motivations are, I am sure that the US can no longer be the major player in Syria. According to the plan made by Russia, the Syrian army will regain total sovereignty over its territories, and Turkey will have to accept the new facts. Then Iran, Russia, and Turkey will continue the Astana process to reach a political solution. Trump might go into new adventures as the heat of the presidential campaign increases. That is something to watch out for. The US policy towards Palestine, Iran, and Yemen should be a matter of big concern for us all.

UK, Brexit and National Nightmare

October 31 is the deadline for UK’s exit from European Union (EU). British Prime Minister Boris Johnson nowadays like the insane has a hand on any issue but he can do nothing with the Brexit and it has turned into a nightmare for British Queen, the government, the intelligence service, the parliaments and political parties and so far several ministers have been forced to leave their jobs for inability in implementing rational exit from EU. And it is predicted that Johnson is from the same mold of British men who ties his party, legal and parliamentary credit to the success or failure in accomplishing the Brexit process.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

On September 25 Jonson in an interview with ITV News said,“the European Union will move on the thorny issue of the backstop, designed to prevent the return of a hard border on the island of Ireland after Brexit.” Of course it should be mentioned that Johnson is doing his best for winning the approval of the House of Lords for its support on new agreement on the Brexit and to remove this paragraph from the Brexit agreement with EU. This paragraph was included in the agreement during former British Prime Minister Theresa May and Brussels talks for implementation of the Brexit, and it was to some extent a guarantee for preventing the creation of a physical border between some part of Ireland which is actually part of Britain and Republic of Ireland which is an EU member. But this was a serious and major hurdle on way to win the support of the parliament during Theresa May’s premiership.

In his interview with ITV News, Johnson said that he UK will leave the European Union on October 31, despite a law ordering him to request an extension if he cannot reach a deal with the EU.

Asked whether he thought the EU would move on the issue (backstop), Johnson told ITV: “Yes, I do. And they already genuinely have moved in the sense that they’re willing to consider other ways that allow us to work with our Irish friends to accomplish several things.”

Former Tory MP and Home Secretary Amber Rudd who was also ready in the interview asserted that Mr Johnson’s rhetoric has turned people against Parliament and it was “dishonest and dangerous”. Rudd resigned from the government and the party last September.

If we take look on at the list of casualties of the Brexit, we realize that over 100 British politicians, at the top of them prime ministers like Theresa May, have been the victims of the Brexit. Ms. May even during her premiership and during the voting on the Brexit threatened the parliament as she repeatedly warned “if the Brexit does not win the parliament approval, British economy will face the danger of the exit from EU without any certain agreement, and it means the economic growth of the country would be negative at least for 2019. Secondly, Britain faces danger of partition because while the Scottish have political incentive for independence from Britain, they will also gain economic momentum. They want to remain in EU and they do not see any reason to pay for doubts and disputes of British lawmakers.”

Ms. May in opposition to Johnson said, “Any change in the Brexit document should be approved by majority of the parliament.”

Of course it should be noticed that according to the new British law which was approved in 2011, in two conditions the country can hold snap election: At least two-thirds of parliament members vote for it and the second condition is no-confidence vote for the prime minister, it means the parliament does not trust the prime minister and his cabinet.(Brexit and National Nightmare)

So Jonson’s pre-emptive action to request the British Queen to suspend the parliament has been in this regard. The British Supreme Court in its ruling said Johnson’s decision to suspend Parliament for five weeks was unlawful. The unanimous judgment from 11 justices on the UK’s highest court followed an emergency three-day hearing that exposed fundamental legal differences over interpreting the country’s unwritten constitution.

This ruling made the political developments complicated in Britain especially in the Brexit case and some analysts believe that it was a historic move and it has made Jonson’s position shaky. The ruling was totally against Jonson’s policies as he tried to get the Queen’s approval for suspension of the parliament for five months. Johnson by this decision tried to remove legal hurdles in way of full implementation of the Brexit even without any agreement with EU. Actually Johnson was trying to round the parliament for implementing the Brexit process by the October 31 deadline. Now nobody knows what will be the fate of Jonson and his party after several defeats in the parliament.

American newspaper New York Times wrote, U.S. President Donald Trump who is in some ways similar to Jonson has encouraged him. Trump in his United Nations General Assembly speech encouraged the British Prime Minster and pointed to the U.S. Supreme Court’s rulings against some of his decisions but he is still in the office.

Some believe that Johnson is after a snap election but it does not seem so because this needs at least two-thirds of parliament member’s approvals. The condition for Johnson is getting tough and worse so that his authority for taking actions freely has been limited.

Jeremy Corbyn, Leader of the Labor Party, and the major opposition to Jonson believes the Prime Minister has not administered the country properly, and for this reason Johnson’s name will be registered in the history as Britain’s shortest-serving prime minister. So in current situation, the status between UK and EU can be called a national nightmare, and as the result, the process for making decision over the fate of the Brexit is moving in a direction that Jonson will be another Brexit casualty like Ms. May.

During the meeting, held in New York on Tuesday evening on the sidelines of the 74th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, Rouhani expressed sorrow over the statement and urged the three European countries to meet their obligations under the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“We are very disappointed about the recent statement of the three European countries, which are at the same time parties to the JCPOA,” he said.

“The issuance of this baseless statement in the current sensitive and complex situation was not productive at all,” Rouhani added.

Johnson, for his part, emphasized that London was seeking to improve relations with Tehran, adding that Britain have always been and will continue to be a supporter of the JCPOA.

The leaders of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, Angela Merkel, Emmanuel Macron, and Boris Johnson, took the US line on the attacks on Saudi oil facilities, saying in a joint statement after meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, “It is clear for us that Iran bears responsibility for this attack. There is no other explanation.”

In response, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns and dismisses the irresponsible claims made by the heads of Britain, France and Germany about the attacks by the Yemeni government’s Armed Forces on the Saudi (oil) facilities, and stresses that holding a third-party government accountable for strikes that have occurred during a full-blown war between the Saudi and Yemeni parties and for which the Yemeni side has formally claimed responsibility, is per se a provocative and highly destructive measure, let alone that such a measure has been taken before any investigations, without providing any clue and proof, and has been only based upon the ridiculous justification that ‘There is no other explanation’.”

The Yemeni forces on September 14 launched drone attacks on two plants at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s oil industry, including the world’s biggest petroleum processing facility.

The attacks came in retaliation for the Saudi-led coalition’s continued aggression on the Arabian Peninsula country.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

To huge cheers and chants of “Johnson out!”, the Labor leader said the prime minister should become the shortest-ever serving leader and that his party was ready to form a government.

“I invite Boris Johnson, in the historic words, to ‘consider his position’ and become the shortest prime minister there’s ever been,” he told delegates at the Labor Party’s annual conference in Brighton.

On the judges verdict, Corbyn said: “It demonstrates a contempt for democracy and an abuse of democracy by him.”

“I will be in touch with (Speaker Bercow) immediately so that we demand parliament is recalled so we can question the prime minister and demand that he obeys the law that has been passed by parliament.”

The Supreme Court’s president, Lady Hale said it would be for the speakers of the House of Commons and House of Lords to “take immediate steps to enable each House to meet as soon as possible”.

“Unless there is some Parliamentary rule of which we are unaware, they can take immediate steps to enable each House to meet as soon as possible,” she continued.

Unveiling the verdict of 11 justices, she said the prorogation of parliament itself was “void and of no effect” and therefore parliament has not been suspended.

In a statement released moments the unanimous ruling in central London, John Bercow, the Commons speaker, said he would be consulting with party leaders as to when parliament should reconvene. “I welcome the Supreme Court’s judgment that the prorogation of parliament was unlawful,” he said, The Independent reported.

Bercow added: “The judges have rejected the government’s claim that closing down parliament for five weeks was merely standard practice to allow for a new Queen’s Speech.”

“In reaching their conclusion, they have vindicated the right and duty of parliament to meet at this crucial time to scrutinize the executive and hold ministers to account. As the embodiment of our parliamentary democracy, the House of Commons must convene without delay. To this end, I will now consult the party leaders as a matter of urgency.”

Keir Starmer, the shadow Brexit secretary, added that prime minister’s questions should take place on Wednesday, so that Johnson, who is currently in New York and the United Nations general assembly, can be interrogated by MPs.

Former Conservative cabinet minister, Amber Rudd, who resigned from the government over Johnson’s approach to Brexit, said: “Despite personal assurances from the PM, the cabinet was not shown the legal advice around this prorogation.

“This is an astonishing moment and I regret that the PM, who entered office with such goodwill, went down this route. I urge him to work with parliament to pass a deal.”
