TEHRAN (Iran News) – Over the course of its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli regime dropped nearly 8,000 bombs over the Gazans. Humanitarian aid, however, came belatedly and much less than needed.

After two weeks of relentless bombing, Israel responded by global pressures by temporarily opening the Rafah border crossing, the only port connecting Gaza to Egypt which is coordinating international life-saving humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza.

Israel had bombarded the crossing in the early hours of its shelling campaign against the Gaza Strip, shutting down operations at the egress for travel and trade. Since October 7, Israel stubbornly rejected all calls for reopening the Rafah crossing, all while deliberately creating a humanitarian crisis by cutting off the flow of water, fuel, food, and electricity into the besieged enclave.

To make things even worse, Israel began intently bombing hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, and other civilian properties which served as a shelter for civilians fleeing heavy bombardment. On 17 October, Israel committed a heinous crime that shocked the world to the core, bombing a Christian hospital – Al Ahli- which resulted in the killing of hundreds of civilians, mostly injured and patients. The magnitude of the crime was so abhorrent that the Israeli authorities quickly walked back their statements confirming their bombardment of the hospital and ultimately blamed the targeting of the hospital on a Palestinian resistance group “misfired” rocket.

Even worse, the Biden administration appeared to be rubber stamping the Israeli narrative, saying that the war crime was committed by the “other team.”

President Biden had visited Israel in a bid to show solidarity with the Israeli leadership, which is suffering from a historic lack of self-confidence as a result of the October 7 attack by the Palestinian resistance groups on Israeli targets.

In order to vent their anger, the Israeli authorities intensified their brutal campaign against the civilians in Gaza, producing “damning evidence” of committing war crimes against the Palestinian people, according to Amnesty International.

“As Israeli forces continue to intensify their cataclysmic assault on the occupied Gaza Strip, Amnesty International has documented unlawful Israeli attacks, including indiscriminate attacks, which caused mass civilian casualties and must be investigated as war crimes,” the human rights organization said in a statement on Friday.

“In their stated intent to use all means to destroy Hamas, Israeli forces have shown a shocking disregard for civilian lives. They have pulverized street after street of residential buildings killing civilians on a mass scale and destroying essential infrastructure, while new restrictions mean Gaza is fast running out of water, medicine, fuel and electricity. Testimonies from eyewitness and survivors highlighted, again and again, how Israeli attacks decimated Palestinian families, causing such destruction that surviving relatives have little but rubble to remember their loved ones by,” said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General.

Callamard said, “Our research points to damning evidence of war crimes in Israel’s bombing campaign that must be urgently investigated. Decades of impunity and injustice and the unprecedented level of death and destruction of the current offensive will only result in further violence and instability in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.”

These crimes were the result of Israel dropping thousands of bombs on the Gaza Strip in a matter of two weeks. The Israeli military has said just in the first six days of their aggression, Israel dropped 6,000 bombs on Gaza. Estimates put that number at more than 8,000 now, which is more than the bombs the U.S. dropped on Afghanistan in a year, according to U.S. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar.

The Washington Post, citing Marc Garlasco, a military adviser at the Dutch organization PAX for Peace, reported that Israel is “dropping in less than a week what the US was dropping in Afghanistan in a year, in a much smaller, much more densely populated area, where mistakes are going to be magnified.”

Garlasco, who is also a former UN war crimes investigator in Libya, told the daily, citing records from the US Air Force Central Command, that the highest number of bombs dropped in a year for the war in Afghanistan was just over 7,423. According to the UN, during the entire war in Libya, NATO reported dropping more than 7,600 bombs and missiles from aircraft, the daily reported, according to Anadolu Agency.

Despite Israeli continued atrocities, humanitarian aid started flowing into Gaza Saturday in very small quantities, with some describing it as a drop in an ocean of human suffering.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The Iranian intelligence minister said during a TV show on Sunday that his country has found and diffused at least 400 bombs in recent months.

Esmaeil Khatib said 40 of the explosives were planned to be detonated during the mourning processions of the Islamic calendar month of Muharram.
The minister also touched on the 2022 fall riots, saying Iran’s intelligence had predicted that various intelligence services, think tanks and semi-official organizations were plotting chaotic schemes against Iran.

“Due to their dependence on the Shah’s toppled regime and their terrorist and separatist nature, they were planning for the overthrow of the Iranian government. At the end of the Iranian calendar year of 1400, they had already made their plans,” stated the official.

Khatib explained that more than 50 intelligence services had held various meetings and trained more than 200 media outlets in order to create chaos and sedition last year through social media.

The anti-Iran groups and governments also decided to incite insecurity by promoting terrorism alongside the virtual war they had launched, the intelligence chief remarked.

“These 50 intelligence services have more money to spend than our country’s entire annual budget. These groups are divided into two services. The main ones and the leaders are the spy services of the United States, Britain and Israel which have been allocating tasks and making directions. Proxy intelligence services like Denmark’s operate on behalf of the main ones,” he revealed.

Khatib also disclosed that the enemies of Iran created a factory manufacturing weapons near the country, whose products regularly got smuggled into Iran. He also mentioned the Kurdistan region of Iraq, saying the autonomous region has turned into the safe haven of terrorists and separatists seeking to harm Iran.
The intelligence minister also warned that the end goal of the governments waging war against Iran is to impose some sort of “colonialism” on the country.

The palace in Sana’a, currently used by the Houthi Ansarullah Movement, was pounded by at least four airstrikes late Monday, the Arabic-language al-Masirah television network reported.

It’s the first time the building has been targeted in almost three years of war.

They also targeted the al-Sabeen region near Sana’a five times.

In the meantime, at least 18 civilians were killed or injured on Monday in the Saudi-led coalition warplanes attack on Na’adh Market on Sanhan and Bani Bahlol districts in Sana’a province, the Yemen’s official Saba News Agency reported.

Saudis have stepped up attacks on Yemen, in particular Sana’a following death of their ally, the former Yemeni dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh. Saleh was killed after betraying the Yemen revolution and allying with the Saudi-led coalition which is pounding the country for the past three years.

Yemeni capital witnessed street clashes between the Houthi Ansarullah Movement and Saleh forces in recent days but the country’s Army Spokesman Brigadier General Sharaf Luqman said on Monday that security has been restored in the whole Sana’a province.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the Saudi-led coalition for the past three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.

At least six people have been killed and several others injured in a bomb attack carried out in central Somalia, police and residents say.

Major Hussein Osman, a police officer, said the bombing in the central city of Beledweyne on Sunday afternoon rocked a restaurant outside the office of the governor of Hiran region where he was holding a meeting.

Beledweyne is located about 340 kilometers north of the capital Mogadishu.

“A bomber blew up himself in a restaurant,” the officer said.

Farah Ali, a local elder, said clan elders were among the dead. “The bomber, who had an explosive jacket, stood inside the restaurant and blew up himself. We were heading to a meeting in the governor’s office when it happened.”

Abdiasis Abu Musab, a spokesman for the Takfiri al-Shabab militant group, has claimed responsibility for the assault. “We are behind the attack at the Hiran governor’s headquarters. There are casualties. We targeted the workers of the Hiran administration.”

The al-Qaeda-linked group has in the past carried out frequent attacks in Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia in a bid to topple the country’s government and drive out African Union peacekeeping troops.

Somalia has been at war since 1991, when clan-based warlords overthrew dictator Siad Barre and then turned on each other.

The country has been the scene of deadly clashes between government forces and al-Shabab militants since 2006.

The Takfiri militant group was forced out of the capital by African Union troops in 2011 but still controls parts of the countryside and carries out attacks against government, military and civilian targets. The extremist group is just one of the challenges facing the new Somali government, which is still struggling to expand its authority beyond the capital and other selected areas.
