TEHRAN (Iran News) Spokesperson of Yemen’s Armed Forces Yahya Saree has announced a successful missile strike on sensitive targets in Tel Aviv using the Palestine-2 ballistic missile.

This operation, conducted in support of the Palestinian people and in response to genocidal actions and the blockade of Gaza, reportedly caused mass panic, leading millions of Israeli settlers to seek shelter.

In a statement released on Saturday, Saree emphasized that the operation aimed to retaliate against the ongoing Israeli aggression not only against Gaza but also against Yemen itself. The hypersonic ballistic missile, equipped with multiple warheads, succeeded in hitting its targets, according to the spokesperson.

Saree reaffirmed that the cowardly attacks by the Israeli regime will not deter Yemen’s support for Palestine, insisting that such aggressions only strengthen Yemen’s resolve and resistance. He declared that military operations would persist until the Israeli attacks cease and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

Hours before the announcement, the Israeli military reported missile fire from Yemen into occupied Palestinian territories. Following the missile launch, air raid sirens were activated in Tel Aviv, signaling a heightened state of alert.

In recent months, Yemen’s military has launched numerous missiles and drones towards the Israeli occupied land in response to the ongoing strikes in Gaza, committing to continue these operations against Israeli vessels in the Red Sea until the aggression stops.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Iran has unveiled a new ballistic missile named Etemad, meaning “trust” in Persian, capable of traveling 1,700 kilometers.

The missile was unveiled during a ceremony in Tehran on Sunday, attended by President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Etemad is the latest ballistic missile developed by the Iranian Defense Ministry. It measures 16 meters in length and has a diameter of 1.25 meters. It has a guided warhead that can steer the missile until impact.

In a televised address, President Pezeshkian hailed Iran’s defense capabilities, saying the country’s military power is intended for self-defense and poses no threat to other nations.

“The development of Iran’s defense and space capabilities is not for waging war or invading [any country], but for deterrence, and to ensure that no country dares to invade Iranian territory,” he told reporters.

Iran says its ballistic missiles are an important deterrent against the United States and Israel, and that its missile program is non-negotiable.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Iran successfully test-launched its most advanced Khorramshahr-class ballistic missile called Kheibar, a medium-range precision-guided missile that can carry a 1,500 kg warhead.

The Khoramshahr 4 missile was unveiled Thursday morning in the presence of Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani during an event marking the 41st anniversary of the liberation of the southwestern city of Khorramshahr.

Kheibar is a liquid-fueled missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers and a warhead weighing 1,500 kilograms, designed by the Ministry of Defense’s Aerospace Industries Organization.

The missile’s extended range, advanced guidance and control system, and improved structural features further solidify Iran’s status as a formidable missile power.

“The message of the Ministry of Defense… is that we are fully committed to defending our country and the achievements of the Islamic Revolution,” Ashtiani said during the unveiling ceremony.

“We are taking steps to equip the Armed Forces in various sectors of defense such as missiles, drones, air defense, and more. Undoubtedly, more (achievements) will be unveiled in the future,” the defense minister stated.

The Khorramshahr class of missiles have impressive strategic and tactical capabilities.

They are known for their unique guidance and control system during the mid-course phase – the longest stretch of flight when the missile is coasting, or freefalling towards its target.

This feature allows Kheibar to control and adjust its trajectory outside the Earth’s atmosphere, and to deactivate its guidance system upon entering the atmosphere, giving it complete immunity against electronic warfare attacks.

“One of the distinguishing features of this missile is its radar evasiveness and the ability to bypass enemy air defenses due to its low radar cross-section (RCS),” Gen. Ashtiani said.

Thanks to its advanced control system, Kheibar’s warhead does not need the typical thin-wing arrangement, which in turn allows the missile to pack up a heavier explosive load.

The Kheibar missile also boasts an incredibly short preparation and launch time.

The use of self-igniting (hypergolic) fuel and the absence of the need for fuel injection and horizontal alignment after the verticalization phase have cut Kheibar’s launch time down to less than 12 minutes.

Furthermore, Kheibar is powered by an advanced liquid-fueled engine that enables the missile to reach speeds of 16 Mach outside the atmosphere and 8 Mach within the atmosphere, giving the missile an exceptional impact force.

The high speed at which the warhead makes impact with the designated target also prevents enemy air defense systems from detecting, tracking, and taking action to shoot down the missile.

The unveiling of Kheibar marks a significant advancement in Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities and demonstrates the country’s commitment to enhancing its defense and deterrent power.

Iranian officials have long asserted that the country’s military capabilities are entirely meant for defense, and that its missile program will never be up for negotiations.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has unveiled a new ballistic missile with a range of 1,450 kilometers (900 miles), which enjoys high agility and is capable of striking its designated targets with pinpoint accuracy.

The missile, dubbed Khaybar Shekan, was put on display on Wednesday during a ceremony attended by Chief of Staff of Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, and a number of other high-ranking military officials and commanders.

The celebration ceremony coincided with celebrations in Iran commemorating the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which overthrew the US-backed Pahlavi dynasty.

Khaybar Shekan is reportedly among third-generation long-range missiles indigenously developed and manufactured by military experts at the IRGC’s Aerospace Division.

The new missile uses solid propellants and is said to be capable of penetrating into missile shields with high maneuverability during its landing stage.

The modern design of Khaybar Shekan has reduced its weight by a third in comparison with similar missiles, and the preparation time to launch the missile has apparently decreased to one-sixths compared to conventional projectiles.

Moreover, the new ballistic missile enjoys considerable agility and high velocity when hitting its targets.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is consistently improving its missile capabilities to counter aggressors, oppressors, global arrogance as well as murderous Zionists,” Bagheri said during the ceremony, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic will continue the trend both quantitatively and qualitatively.

He highlighted that enemies would not have cared about ethics, humanitarian principles, human rights and widespread condemnation if they could obtain anything other than huge costs and losses out of aggression on Iran.

Bagheri also hailed the “dynamic” deterrent power of the Iranian Armed Forces, saying the country is expanding both its inventory of military hardware and human resources.

A Pentagon study has recently acknowledged Iran’s missile power, saying its arsenal is larger than that of any other Middle Eastern country.

“Iran has an extensive missile development program, and the size and sophistication of its missile force continue to grow despite decades of counter-proliferation efforts aimed at curbing its advancement,” it said.

In comments after unveiling the missile, IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said the materials used in the warhead of Kheibarshekan have increased its explosive power to several times greater than TNT.

He also noted that the preparation time for the launch of the missile has been practically reduced to one-sixth of the average duration.

“With its performance, the missile has extremely increased the power of the missile units of the IRGC Aerospace Force,” the commander added.

Known as a third-generation long-range Iranian missile, ‘castle buster’ is propelled by solid fuel and is capable of penetrating into missile shields with high maneuverability during the landing stage.

The modified design of the missile has reduced its weight by a third compared to the similar missiles.

The advanced missile has been fully designed and manufactured by the local experts of the IRGC Aerospace Force.

Despite decades of Washington-imposed sanctions, Iran has made great achievements in its ballistic missiles program.

Last month, an American political analyst said Iran’s missile program has disrupted the strategic military calculations of the United States in the Middle East, altering the balance of power in a region where Washington has long sought to maintain a military edge.

Iran Ballistic Missile Program Not Open to Negotiation

TEHRAN (IFP) – Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations has rejected any negotiation over the Islamic Republic’s “legitimate” ballistic missile program.

According To Iran News, Majid Takht Ravanchi said at a virtual UN meeting that Iran’s defense policy is crystal clear.

“On numerous occasions, we have made our position on the country’s defense capabilities completely clear,” he noted.

“Under the international law, every country is essentially entitled to develop a conventional missile program, and Iran is not exception,” said the official.

“Hence, Iran will not negotiate on its legitimate ballistic missile program,” he underlined.

He said Iran pays due regard to its national security.

“As Iran is located in a sensitive region such as the Middle East, we will not allow our security and conventional defense might to be compromised, restricted or undermined,” he said.

“Iran won’t be intimidated into abandoning its legitimate defense tolls by the bullying policies of certain powers,” said Takht Ravanchi.

He said the only source of instability and insecurity in the region is the presence of a large number of American troops in almost all countries neighboring Iran and the ones in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman region.

Another source of instability and insecurity, he said, is the flow into the region of the most sophisticated weapons made by the US and other Western countries.

“The Persian Gulf has been suffering from foreign interference and unfair rivalries for years. Due to the unrestrained inflow of dangerous Western weapons, this region has turned into a powder keg. In order to sell more arms, these countries fuel differences in the region and have adopted the ‘divide and rule’ policy,” he said.

He expressed hope countries in the region will soon welcome Iran’s peace initiative known as the Hormuz Peace Endeavour (HOPE).

He further noted the 2015 nuclear agreement, officially known as the JCPOA, was the outcome of marathon talks and there is no point putting it on the negotiating table again.

Takht Ravanchi said that under UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the JCPOA was concluded as a comprehensive, long-term and appropriate solution to the Iran nuclear issue in order to establish a new relationship with Iran and facilitate and boost trade and economic cooperation and transactions with Tehran.

“The conclusion of the JCPOA was the result of marathon talks, including difficult tit-for-tat arrangements, and any offer of revising, renegotiating or extending the deal runs counter to UNSC Resolution 2231, and will definitely be not acceptable for Iran,” the top official added.

“After withdrawing from the JCPOA on May 8, 2018, the U.S. re-imposed all of its nuclear sanctions, and ever since, has adopted a hostile approach toward the JCPOA and Iran, covertly and overtly bothering Iran’s trade partners constantly and extensively,” he added.

“With these measures, the U.S. has committed blatant violations of the JCPOA and has systematically and constantly breached its legal obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the UN Charter and the international law,” he explained.

Moreover, by impudently threatening to punish other governments if they refuse to violate Resolution 2231, the US has both reneged on its commitments under that resolution and practically prevented other state parties from living up to their obligations,” he said.

Takht Ravanchi also touched upon Washington’s breach of a ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

“The United States has also refused to abide by a quia timet injunction issued by the unanimous vote of judges of the International Court of Justice on October 3, 2018 which obliges the US to remove impediments to the sales of humanitarian supplies to Iran,” he said.

“Still, instead of adopting remedial measures authorized under the JCPOA, Iran exercised maximum restraint and strategic patience for one year at the request of the three European countries,” he said.

However, he explained, Iran’s restraint was met with the United States’ so-called “maximum-pressure” policy and ever-increasing illegal sanctions as well as the three European countries’ absolute failure to deliver on their commitments.

“Under such circumstances, we had no choice but to take remedial steps in full compliance with paragraphs 26 and 36 of the JCPOA which stipulate that Iran has every right to stop the implementation of its commitments, in whole or in part, if new sanctions are slapped on the country or if previous sanctions are re-imposed,” he said.

“So, Iran’s measures are in full compliance with our rights and obligations under the JCPOA, and more importantly, they are reversible,” said the top official.

Takht Ravanchi underscored that the United States has slapped more than 1,500 sanctions on Iran targeting all of the country’s economic sectors and destroying almost all benefits of the JCPOA for Iran.

“Such sanctions, which are expected to increase even until the last minutes the current US administration is in office, amounts to a full-scale war where weapons have been replaced by an economic tool.

“Based on U.S. officials’ comments, the sanctions are aimed at starving Iranian people using food and medicines as a weapon, a practice which is even forbidden during wartime,” said Takht Ravanchi.

He said Washington’s claim that sanctions do not include humanitarian supplies is a “sheer lie.”

IRAN NEWS NATIONAL DESK

TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unveiled a homegrown multiple ballistic missile launcher on Wednesday.

The automated and smart system, used for launching multiple long-range ballistic missiles, has been manufactured by the IRGC Aerospace Force.

The homegrown missile launcher system was unveiled by IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami.

“The launch of our missiles rattles the enemy. Our missile power guarantees the withdrawal of enemies,” the IRGC commander said in the unveiling ceremony.

He also said that the deterrent and defense capabilities give Iran huge power that helps the country demonstrate its political will and impose it on the enemy if necessary.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Major General Hussein Salami said, in a speech, that “the flight of our missiles will shake the enemy’s core, and their force will push the enemy to retreat.” .

The Iranian Air Force had announced that its bombers were able to destroy virtual targets of the enemies in their guerrilla maneuver.

Brigadier General Pilot Farhad Kuderzi, spokesman for the maneuvers in its ninth phase, said that “on the second day of the main and operational phase of the exercises, F-4 bombers and fighters participated in destroying the virtual targets of the enemies.”

The Iranian Armed Forces affirmed that they are prepared to face any threat, stressing that it is committed to fulfilling the orders of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The deputy chief of the general staff of the Iranian army, Brigadier General Qara Ashtiani, said, “These maneuvers (the air force guerrillas) basically mean the crystallization of national power, and as you have seen, the army air force pilots have trained well in these maneuvers on combined methods, and proved that the air force is capable.”

Iran launched the 9th phase of these maneuvers in the Isfahan Province over the weekend, as they showcased their aerial prowess in a series of drills.

IRAN NEWS NATIONAL DESK

TEHRAN – The Commander of IRGC Aerospace Force noted that the country’s defense sector enjoys high-tech equipment made by Iranian experts.

Iran’s aerospace section and its achievements are standing at the world’s top-level, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on Sunday in the inauguration ceremony of an exhibition which showcases the achievements of the force.

“When we talk about missile, drone, and radar development, these are cutting edge technologies and we are among the top five countries in these fields,” he added.

He noted that the defense achievements of the country have been the result of experiences during Sacred Defense. “We learned from Imam Khomeini to stand on our own feet. Of course, we faced challenges in the path. At the time of the Soviet Union collapse, millions of dollars’ worth missiles and launchers were being easily offered to us but the Leader of the Islamic Revolution opposed. If those purchases had been made, we would have not gained these achievements and this progress is the result of the wisdom of the Leader.”

He noted that the exhibition aims to inject self-confidence in the younger generation while also transferring the key of these technologies to others.

The Brigadier General also said that country’s problems can be solved with self-confidence.

The exhibition has been opened on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week which marks the start of imposed Saddam Hussein’s war on Iran in 1980.

He also hailed the Zolfaqar-e Basir missile, with a range of more than 700 kilometers (434 miles) as its new-generation ballistic missile — after predecessors Khalij-e Fars and Hormuz– to be used against mobile seaborne targets.

The newest projectile is fitted with a warhead that is guided by an optical seeker head. The precursors to the naval military achievement could respectively fly as far as 300 and 250 kilometers (186 and 155 miles).

Zolfaqar-e Basir’s surface-to-surface version can also travel a 700-to-750-kilometer distance.

The Corps has previously deployed the missile against overseas targets such as gatherings of the terror group Daesh as well as the U.S.’s Ain al-Assad Airbase located in western Iraq. The latter operation was conducted in January after a U.S. drone strike assassinated Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, former commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, in Baghdad.

“We have [well] understood the equations governing independence and esteem, and will never stop manufacturing power,” General Salami said during the inauguration ceremony, which was also attended by the Aerospace Division’s Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh and Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf.

The exhibition also demonstrated the IRGC’s other capabilities in the areas of missiles, UAVs, satellites, defense systems, reconnaissance apparatuses, and electronic warfare, as well as some of the invading drones that have been successfully shot down by the Corps in the past, including American and Israeli ones.

The IRGC’s new naval ballistic missile, “Zolfaqar Basir”, has been put on display in a permanent exhibition of the achievements of the IRGC Aerospace Force that was inaugurated on Sunday morning.

Known as the latest version of a new generation of ‘Persian Gulf’ missiles, Zolfaqar Basir has a range of above 700 kilometers and its warhead is equipped with an optical seeker.

The range of the IRGC’s previous naval missiles, Persian Gulf and Hormuz, was around 300 and 250 km respectively.

The ground-to-ground version of Zolfaqar missile has a range of about 750 kilometers. It was used in an operation against Daesh terrorists in Syria in October 2018 and in a missile attack on the US airbase of Ain al-Assad in Iraq in January 2020.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.

Back in February 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran’s defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the country’s missile program.

“Without a moment of hesitation, the country must move to acquire whatever is necessary for defense, even if the whole world is opposed to it,” Ayatollah Khamenei said at the time.
