The high advisor of the Department for the Development of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Mohammad Taghi Joghataei said “throughout the world, attempts are made to produce knowledge and wealth, and in order for us to succeed in this respect in Iran, we need to engage in effective cooperation in science and research.”

Joghataei referred to Iran’s advanced situation in various scientific fields and said “Iran ranks 16 in world artificial intelligence and in the field of linguistics, it also occupies a high rank.”

Joghataei highlighted the fact that one fifth of articles in medicine in Iran are about neuroscience and added “increasing collaboration and relations between research centers and institutes can lead to positive outcomes in the field of neuroscience.”

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri made the remarks at an open Parliament session held on the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr from the Iraqis on 24 May 1982, during the Iran–Iraq War.

He likened Trump and his unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal to Saddam Hussein who tore up the 1975 Algiers agreement with Iran on fixing borders, adding “the fate of the [violators of agreements] will be the same as Saddam.”

Bagheri went on to describe the US as a criminal and oppressor, isolated and angry with corrupted and oath-breaker leaders who are mercenaries of the Israeli regime.

“This enemy, while afraid of facing Iran head-on in battle, is trying instead to exert pressure on Iran in the economic sector and through psychological warfare,” he said.

“Iran, meanwhile, has always lived up to its commitments, observed international rights, and its presence in another country is at the official request of that country’s legitimate government,” Bagheri stressed.

Bagheri went on to stress that the Iranian Armed Forces are at the peak of defense and military readiness, and that the country would not wait for permission from any foreign power to develop its defense capabilities.

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri made the remarks at International Conference on Regional Security Order in the West Africa in the Tehran which is held in commemoration of the memory of Imam Khomeini and the Holy Defense martyrs.

“The West Asia region is considered one of the world’s top ten geopolitical regions and is considered to be the most important region in the world,” Bagheri said adding “after World War II, there were three Soviet-American strategic fronts, including Southwest Asia, in which the Arab-Israeli wars took place,” Bagheri pointed out.

“West Asia became more important as time passed, especially after the Islamic Revolution took place in Iran and the Soviet Union collapsed West Asia region assumed more importance,” adding “no doubt whoever rules over this region, would be a superior power.”

“The world’s largest fossil resources are in this region, and the strategic crossroads such as the Strait of Hormuz have increased its importance and have attracted the attention of global powers, and anyone who rules over it, it becomes a superior power,” Bagheri added.

“Britain, the Old Fox, occupied Iraq and Palestine in post-Second World War, under the pretext of the Holocaust to settle the Jews in the land of Palestine. They wanted to take from the Euphrates in Iraq to Nile in Egypt,” he asserted.

Chief of Staff of Armed Forces further explained that “Britain followed by the United States backed the child-killer Israeli regime in its crimes, and now decaling the Quds Jerusalem as the capital of a fake Zionist regime is their last conspiracy that Muslims will not remain silent about it, and it will bring about a new Intifada.”
