“Today we can see what that big idol has turned into. This is their democracy. This is their election fiasco. This is their human rights: they kill a Black person once in every couple of hours or days, and the murderer is not prosecuted. These are ‘American values’ ​​that today are ridiculed. “More weirdly, some still worship America,” the Leader added.

The Leader said the result of U.S. presence in Iran [before the 1979 Revolution] was economic and scientific poverty and corruption.

“Some think if we reconcile and interact with the U.S., [Iran] will turn into a paradise,” the Leader added.

Ayatollah Khamenei further noted the Americans admit that their interests are secured by creating instability in the region.

“The U.S. sees its interests in regional instability under the current circumstances unless it is the dominant power in the region,” he added.

“This is what they have admitted. A famous expert of one of these American think tanks clearly said that ‘we are not after stability in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon’. The main issue is not whether instability is needed in these countries. Rather it is how to create that instability. Once with Daesh and once with the 2009 sedition (post-election riots in Iran) or the things they do in the region,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Leader stressed that Iran stood against the U.S. bid to create instability in the country.

“In 2009, the U.S. wanted to make Iran unstable. But that happened to them in 2020-21. You saw the people who breached the US Congress. The Americans sought to do the same in Iran. They wanted to create chaos and trigger a civil war,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader expressed his opposition to the import of COVID-19 vaccines produced by the U.S. and Britain.

“I have already said it to government officials, and now announce it publicly. The import of American and British vaccines is prohibited,” the Leader noted.

“Had the Americans managed to produce a vaccine, they would not have faced such a mess today in their own country. In one day, some 4,000 people died from COVID-19 in the U.S.,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

“I really don’t trust them. Sometimes they want to test the vaccine on other nations,” the Leader added.

He also noted that he is not optimistic about France as the country was involved in the infected blood scandal in the early 1990s.

The Leader stressed, however, that the Iranian government is allowed to supply the COVID vaccine from other reliable sources.

He also hailed the domestically-developed Iranian coronavirus vaccine, calling it a source of pride and honor, and stressing that this should not be denied. The Leader noted that the human trials of the Iranian vaccine were conducted in one case and they succeeded.

“This should not be denied … The vaccine has gone under human trials. God willing a better version will also be developed in Iran. This is a source of pride and dignity,” the Leader noted.

Ayatollah Khamenei further pointed out that Iran is in no rush for the US to return to the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“Our rational demand is the lifting of the sanctions. This is the Iranian nation’s right which has been violated. They are duty-bound to do that …. If the sanctions are lifted, then the US return to the JCPOA will mean something,” the Leader said.

He said the issue of compensation will be raised in the next stage.

“But if the sanctions are not lifted, their return to the JCPOA may be even to our detriment,” he added.

The Leader said the recent move by the Parliament and the administration to stop the implementation of nuclear commitments was a totally logical, rational, and acceptable decision.

“When the other side does not implement any of its commitments, there is no point for Iran to fulfill all its commitments,” he said.

However, the Leader noted, if they return to their commitments, we will do the same.

The Leader further pointed to Iran’s regional presence and said, “Our Establishment is duty-bound to behave in a way that its friends in the region are reinforced.”

“This is our duty. Our presence is meant to strengthen our friends. We should not do anything to weaken those loyal to the Islamic Republic in the region,” he noted.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran’s presence creates stability, and that was proved on the issue of fighting Daesh terrorism and the like.

“Therefore, Iran’s regional presence is definite, and will continue to exist,” he added.

He also referred to the Western opposition to Iran’s reinforcement of its defense power, and said, “The Islamic Republic system is now allowed to keep the country’s defense power at a [low] level that an incompetent person like Saddam would dare to bomb our cities.”

“Today our defense power is so much that the enemies have to take into account Iran’s capabilities in their calculations. When our missile can shoot down the intrusive American aerial vehicle that had entered our airspace, and when our missiles can pound the Ain al-Assad airbase in such a way, the enemy has to count on these capabilities of Iran in its military decisions,” the Leader said.

“We have no right to leave our country defenseless. We should not do something that emboldens the enemy, and makes us unable to respond,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

TEHRAN (PressTV) – A military advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warns that an act of military aggression by the US against Iran that could lead to an even limited conflict is likely to set off a full-scale war that would afflict other parts of the region too.

The remarks were made by Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan, defense minister during President Hassan Rouhani’s previous tenure and former commander of the Air Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC). He made the comments to the Associated Press on Wednesday that the news agency published a day later.

“A limited, tactical conflict can turn into a full-fledged war,” Dehqan said.

He, however, not only clearly distanced Iran from any intention to trigger such a conflict, but also cautioned strongly about such confrontation’s repercussions for the region and, by extension, the world.

“We don’t welcome a crisis. We don’t welcome war. We are not after starting a war,” he said.

“Definitely, the United States, the region, and the world cannot stand such a comprehensive crisis,” the military expert noted.

He, accordingly, warned against any American military escalation in President Donald Trump’s final weeks in office.

Dehqan, meanwhile, addressed the likelihood of fresh negotiations with the U.S. and the quality that such talks could partake of.

He reminded that the U.S.’ atrocities under Trump had made it extremely difficult for Iran to accept its return to the negotiation table. Among the rest, he referred to the U.S.’ assassination of Iran’s senior anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani on Trump’s direct order near Baghdad airport in January.

He called the IRGC’s retaliatory missile strikes against U.S. bases in Iraq that came almost immediately after the assassination a mere “initial slap,” and asserted that the Islamic Republic continued to seek the expulsion of all American forces from the region as revenge for the barbaric assassination.

“We do not seek a situation in which [the other party] buys time to weaken our nation,” he also said — apparently signaling that Tehran would not tolerate any American trickery in the event of any fresh talks — and said, “We are not after negotiations for the sake of negotiations either.”

Further, the advisor reiterated the country’s principled stance that its missile power is non-negotiable due to its forming part of Iran’s “deterrent” might.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will not negotiate its defensive power … with anybody under any circumstances,” Dehqan said. “Missiles are a symbol of the massive potential that is possessed by our experts, young people, and industrial centers.”

The official also warned about Israel’s regional expansionist ambitions that saw the regime normalizing its relations with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Sudan earlier in the year. Dehqan warned that the ambitious march was a “strategic mistake” that could put Tel Aviv in a parlous state.

TEHRAN – Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei yesterday said the United States has fallen into substantial decline and Washington’s regime will not live long.

The Leader in a televised speech on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday anniversary yesterday, said the White House itself has admitted that the U.S. is nosediving.

“To be fair, the U.S. regime has gone into a dramatic political, civil and moral decline. What I’m saying is not an analysis. It is something that they themselves are saying,” the Leader said.

“This is the word of their own spokespeople as well as authors and thinkers inside the United States,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

“Over the past several years, they have written a number of books which have been published in high circulation inside the U.S.,” he noted.

“These books shed light on some facts,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei said one of these books, which has been translated into Persian, is full of evidence indicative of the “decline of the U.S. political system due to moves by the U.S. president.’

“Such an empire won’t last long,” the Leader stressed.

“It is obvious that when a regime gets to this point, it will not last long and will explode,” he said.

Anti-Islam Stances Show Wicked Nature of Western Civilization

He once again lashed out at French President Emmanuel Macron for supporting the blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

Ayatollah Khamenei said “some rulers suffered humiliation by insulting the Prophet” whose cartoons were published by the French satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo.

“Backing cultural savagery and the criminal act of a caricaturist is another side of the coin of support for MKO terrorists and [former Iraqi dictator] Saddam [Hussein],” said the Leader.

“The Islamic community’s anger and protest at this event indicates that the Muslim world is alive,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Leader noted a lesson should be learned from this development.

“The French government links the event to human rights and freedom of expression. This is the same policy that is associated with the world’s most violent terrorists, i.e., terrorists who [in the past] killed our president, judiciary chief, prime minister and a number of officials as well as 17 thousand people in our country,” the Leader noted, referring to the MKO terrorist group.

He said France is one of the governments which helped Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein during the eight-year Iraqi-imposed war on Iran in the 1980s.

“They claim they favor freedom and human rights and the like,” said the Leader.

“The Quran and the Prophet Muhammad have been insulted several times so far. They cannot besmirch the Prophet Muhammad’s dignity and honor at all. Such move show the wicked nature of the West’s civilization,” he added.

Noting that presidential rivals are accusing each other of extensive fraud in the election, he said the U.S. political system is suffering a serious decline. He also said that Iran enjoys calculated policies that will not change with a change in U.S. Government. “No matter who wins the U.S. elections, it won’t affect our policy toward the U.S. Some people talk about what will happen if this or that one is elected. Yes, certain events may happen but they don’t concern us. Our policy is calculated and clear.”

“The U.S. regime suffers from severe political, civil, and moral deviations. This is what their own analysts say. Such a regime won’t last long. Of course, if certain people hold office, they speed up its destruction, while with others it may take a little longer.”

Highlighting the need to focus on domestic capabilities to boost the country’s economy, he noted that the economy should not be tied to the developments of another country and the solution to problems is not outside the country.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei called for an immediate end to the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. He noted that Azerbaijan is ‘entitled’ to liberate its occupied territories while highlighting that the security of Armenians living in the region should be ensured.

Terrorists should not be stationed near Iranian borders and that if Iran feels a threat, it will adopt a decisive response, he warned.

“The war between our neighbors, Azerbaijan and Armenia, is a bitter event and must end as soon as possible. Of course, Azerbaijani land seized by Armenia should be freed and the safety of its Armenian residents must be secured. If terrorists approach the Iranian border, they’ll be dealt with severely.”

The Leader who was delivering his speech on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the sixth Imam of Shias, Imam Jafar al- Sadiq (AS), stated: “The entire humanity has been addressed by the Prophet of Islam (PBUH). One can say that more than any other time in history, humanity is undergoing immense suffering. Inequalities, warmongering, extremist materialism are more prevalent in the world today. These days, they use science and technology in order to exercise these satanic powers.”

He emphasized: “The U.S. is the very Pharaoh and the tyrant of our time.”

TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei says Iran at the current critical time requires “cooperation, unity and solidarity” more than ever.

He made the remarks during the first in-person meeting with President Hassan Rouhani and members of the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus in Tehran on Saturday since the outbreak began.

“In some countries, such as the United States, the worst management has been applied, but we must try to deal with this phenomenon which is linked to the lives and health of the people and their security and economy with the best management,” the Leader said.

The prerequisite for proper management is “taking decisive governance decisions”, “convincing public opinion” and securing “cooperation of all institutions as well as the cooperation of the people,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

“This cooperation, however, is not limited to countering the coronavirus; rather, it must exist in all issues, especially political issues, because the country, which has a strong nation, a new system and a new discourse, is naturally faced with major problems in the global and domestic arenas,” he said.

Despite all these problems, “great work is underway in the country, and by God’s grace, no incident has been able to stop the Islamic Republic, but these obstacles, which are slowing down the momentum, must be removed as soon as possible,” the Leader added.

Ayatollah Khamenei also praised the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus and its affiliated committees, calling the performance of the medical and health personnel “very brilliant” and their practice as “jihad in the way of Allah”.

The Leader said there is need to immediately launch a follow-up base and affiliated committees to implement the decisions of the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus and monitor their implementation.

The Ministry of Health should also be given centrality in determining and charting out restrictions related to the new coronavirus, he said.

“Once the Ministry of Health has determined the instances of the restriction, other bodies must comply with them, without taking into account any considerations.”

Ayatollah Khamenei said strict control of the country’s entry points, restriction of unnecessary intercity traffic along with public persuasion and strict application of rules in the urban transport fleet and public environments are examples of restrictions and the main responsibility for implementing and supervising them lies with the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus and law enforcement forces.

The Leader also touched on the living and employment conditions of some people which have become more difficult by the implementation of strict coronavirus regulations.

“In this regard, the government should consider support packages, while donors and other people should also enter the field and come to the aid of these people, because this is one of the best deeds and the best means of approaching God.”

Before the speech, President Hassan Rouhani briefed the Leader on measures taken by his administration to counter the coronavirus in the past eight months.

An official delegation from the UAE visited Israel yesterday (Tuesday) for the first time. The Emirati Minister of Economy Abdulla Bin Touq was among the officials.

Meanwhile the president of the Islamic Culture and Relation Organization (ICRO) said, he Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should act to fulfill its duty in response to normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.

Speaking at the consultative meeting of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the ICRO President Abuzar Ebrahimi Turkaman said the OIC should fulfill its duty according to the legal opinion (fatwa) of the Muslim scholars in boycotting the normalization of relations by some Arab countries with the Zionist regime.

Ebrahimi-Turkaman, on October 20, stressed that today the Islamic world needs unity and solidarity more than ever before.

He continued that the terrorist groups, supported by the global arrogance, seek to destroy Islam’s image in the world, and distort Islamic principles.
