Head of ‘resistance axis’, Hezbollah Calls Iran

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The deputy secretary-general of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah lauded the major role that Iran plays at the forefront of the battle against the global arrogance in the region and call it head of ‘resistance axis’.

“We recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran as the head of ‘Axis Resistance’,” Sheikh Naim Qassem told the 33rd International Islamic Unity Conference, which opened in Tehran on Thursday.

He added that all the resistance movements follow the same goal under the guidance of Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The Hezbollah deputy noted that unity is the key to conquer the enemies, saying, “Holding the Islamic Unity Conference is one of the wisest moves to reach integrity and unity in the Muslim World.”

The International Islamic Unity Conference, themed “Ummah unity in defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” started today with the participation of 350 personalities from 93 countries and will go on till November 16.

The conference is held annually in an effort to lay the ground for stronger unity and solidarity among Muslims and provide solutions for their problems.

Earlier, Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani also said“Although our enemies have not spared any effort to marginalize the issue of Palestine and Jerusalem Al-Quds, the public opinion, clerics and scholars of the Muslim World will never let this goal be materialized,” Rouhani said on Thursday, addressing the 33rd International Islamic Unity Conference which is underway in Tehran.

The president called on the regional countries for more cooperation among the neighbouring countries and the Muslim nations, saying it is the only way to tackle the ongoing crises in the region.

Iran’s intel. minister, Hamas delegation discuss ‘Deal of the Century’

According to the Intelligence Ministry, Hamas deputy leader Salah al-Aruri, a member of Hamas Political Bureau Hessam Badran, Hamas’s foreign relations chief Osama Hamdan, and its Lebanon representative Ahmed Abdul Hadi were present in the meeting with the Iranian minister. The report doesn’t specify the date or place of this meeting.

The two sides discussed ways to counter US-Israeli threats in the region, especially those against Palestine.

They also conferred on bilateral relations and agreed to continue such meetings to counter the dangers arising from US-proposed ‘Deal of the Century’.

Both sides highlighted that the deal is in favor of Zionists and aggressors in the region and that no Palestinian or regional country would accept it.

Pointing to US President Trump’s decisions to relocate embassy to al-Quds and support Zionists’ settlements in the West Bank and Golan, the two sides also noted that ‘Deal of the Century’, a plan proposed by the US and Zionist regime and supported by Saudi Arabia, is a preface to normalization of Arab-Israeli relations. In this plan and future negotiations, the issue of refugees will be solved with an ‘alternative land’ outside Palestine and the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their country will be abolished forever, the two sides stressed.

US unable to control Iranians’ economy, fate: Safavi

Top Military Aide to the Iranian Leader Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said that the United States’ power is waning and they cannot once again take the control of Iranians’ economy and fate.

He made the Saturday remarks at Tehran-based Holy Defense Museum in a ceremony for unveiling a book related to Iran-Iraq war.

According to documents found in the US embassy in Tehran, from the 1953 Coup to the overthrow of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in 1979 all the affairs of Iran was in control of the United States, he highlighted.

In the past 40 years, the US has put all-out effort to fight Iran but they have conceded a defeat and are forced to retreat from the western Asian region, Safavi added.

He went on to say that the power of the United States is waning, and with the formation of the Resistance Axis and the guidance of Islamic Revolution Leader and late Imam Khomeini (RA), nations take control of their own fate.
