<p><em>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>)</em> Iran’s Kimia Zareei and Zeinab Norouzi defeated Thailand’s Parisa Chaempudsa and Nuntida Krajangjam in the final of lightweight double sculls. The bronze medal went to Vietnamese rowers Lường Thị Thảo and Nguyễn Thị Giang.</p>
<p>In the lightweight single sculls, Amir Hossein Mahmoudpour lost to Iraqi rower Mohammed Riyadh in the final. Vietnam’s Bùi Văn Ho� n claimed the bronze medal.</p>
<p>Furthermore, Kimia Zareei and Fatemeh Mojallal seized a bronze medal in the double sculls. China and Uzbekistan won gold and silver, respectively.</p>
<p>Iranian rowers had won three medals on Saturday.</p>
<p>Zeinab Norouzi had won a gold medal in the in the lightweight single sculls. Fatemeh Mojallal collected a silver medal in the single sculls. And Team Melli seized a silver in the quadruple sculls.</p>

<p>In freestyle wrestling, Iranian athletes demonstrated remarkable dominance throughout the tournament, highlighted by Mohammad Hadi Saravi’s impressive performance in the 97 kg category, where he clinched Iran’s fourth gold medal.</p>
<p>In the decisive match, Olympic bronze medalist Saravi secured a commanding 9-0 victory against Kazakhstan’s Matsif, adding another championship win to Iran’s impressive freestyle medal haul.</p>
<p>This included gold medals from Saeed Esmaili in the 67 kg category, Nasser Alizadeh at 87 kg, and Amin Mirzazadeh in the 130 kg division.</p>
<p>The Iranian national team also showcased their dominance in Greco-Roman wrestling at the Bishkek Asian Wrestling Championships. The team secured five gold medals with stellar performances by Rahman Amouzaad Khalili at 65 kg, Amir Mohammad Yazdani at 70 kg, Mohammad Nakhodi at 79 kg, Amir Hossein Firozpour at 92 kg, and Amir Hossein Zare at 125 kg.</p>

<p>Alireza Hosseinpour (Juniors Male -48), Amirhossein Bahrabadi (Juniors Male -73), Ali Najafi (Juniors Male +78), Negar Esmaeili (Juniors Female -44), Yalda Valinejad (Juniors Female -63), Ali Tavakoli (Juniors Male -51), Amir Sina Bakhtiari (Juniors Male -59), Mobina Kalivand (Juniors Female -42), Ghazal Soltani (Juniors Female -52) and Anahita Tavakloi (Juniors Female -68) won 10 gold medals.</p>
<p>Pasha Atarodi (Juniors Male -55), Hamed Asghari (Juniors Male -63), Nastaran Valizadeh (Juniors Female -55), Amir Moevalede Shahrestani (Juniors Male -45), Pedram Jamshidi (Juniors Male -68) and Tina Modanlou (Juniors Female -59) claimed six silver medals.</p>
<p>Ali Akbari also won a bronze medal at the Juniors Male -78.</p>
<p>South Korea came second with 110 points (3-4-7) and China finished in third place with 77 points (3-1-2).</p>
<p>A total of 385 athletes of 31 countries competed in the two-day competition which was held at the Princess Hamza Hall in Amman, Jordan.</p>

<p>Zabihollah Poorshab defeated Jordan’s Mahmoud Sajan 1-0 in the final bout of the Male Kumite -84 Kg.</p>
<p>Taravat Khaksar claimed a gold medal at the Female Kumite -55 after beating Uzbekistan’s Sevinch Rakhimova 6-0.</p>
<p>Hamideh Abbasali also seized a gold at the Female Kumite +68kg, beating Kazakhstan’s Sofya Berultseva 4-2 in the final.</p>
<p>Female Team Kata and Rozita Alipour won two silver medals.</p>
<p>Alipour lost to China’s Xiaoyan Yin at the Female Kumite -61kg.</p>
<p>Iran also won four bronze medals in the competition.</p>
<p>Bahman Askari Ghoncheh came third after beating Dastonbek Otabolaev from Uzbekistan 1-0 at the Male Kumite -75 Kg.</p>
<p>Sajad Ganjzadeh won a bronze in the Male Kumite +84kg after beating Kyrgyzstan’s Adilet Shadykanov 5-2.</p>
<p>Fatemeh Sadeghi Dastak and Male Team Kata also claimed two bronze medals.</p>
<p>The competition has brought nearly 400 competitors from 33 countries together in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.</p>
<p>Last year, Japan topped the overall standings with 11 medals, made up of eight golds, one silver and two bronzes.</p>
<p>They were followed by Iran with four golds, one silver and three bronzes, and Jordan with two golds and one silver.</p>
<p>This year&#8217;s edition of the AKF Senior Championship is the 16th, with the first having been held in Taiwan&#8217;s capital Taipei in 1993.</p>

<p>In the match closed behind closed doors in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Mehrdad Mohammadi found the back of the net in the 12th minute for Iran B and Abolfazl Razzaghpour equalized the match in the 67th minute.<br />
Marc Wilmots is going to test the players who are playing in Iran league. Iran B players were given a chance to show their abilities in this match.</p>
<p>Iran U23 football team, headed by Farhad Majidi, are also preparing for the 2020 AFC U23 Championship which will be held in Thailand from January 8 to 26.</p>
<p>The team will also play two friendly matches with Croatia U23 team during the last weekend of October.</p>

<p>Iran&#8217;s gold medalists on Sunday were Mahdi SHIRAZI (61kg), Ali Reza ABDOLLAHI (92kg) and Amir ZARE (125kg).</p>

<p>Uzbekistan’s Olga Zabelinskaya claimed the gold medal, clocking 3:09:05.</p>
<p>Na Ah-Reum from South Korea claimed a silver with a time of 3:09:52.</p>
<p>More than 500 athletes from 40 Asian countries and regions are taking part in the most prestigious cycling competition of the continent in Uzbekistan, according to the joint statement of the Asian Cycling Confederation and Uzbekistan&#8217;s Cycling Federation.</p>
<p>Cyclists compete for the 57 sets of medals, as well as for tickets to take part in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in Japan.</p>

<p>Ghashghaei took a gold in shot put event with a throw of 19.36m. Amandeep Singh Dhaliwal from India and China’s Peng Yingtei won silver and bronze medal with 19.08m and 18.59m, respectively.</p>
<p>Discus thrower Rahmanifar also seized a gold medal with a throw of 60.24m. The silver medal went to his countryman Sadegh Samimi who threw 59.85m. Huang Nuo-ya from Chinese Taipei claimed a bronze medal with 54.93m.</p>
<p>Iran had earlier won two bronze medals in the competition.</p>
<p>Fatemeh Sima Shadkam and Sahand Nouri both won bronze medals at the 2000 meters steeplechase and hammer throw, respectively.</p>
<p>The competitions were held at the Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground in Hong Kong from 15 to 17 March.</p>
