TEHRAN (Iran News) During an inspection visit to Army units deployed in western Iran, the commander said the trip aimed to assess operational readiness and combat capabilities along the country’s borders.

He noted that troop morale is high and that equipment and facilities have been upgraded in line with operational lessons learned from the recent 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime. The visit, he added, also highlighted notable innovation, creativity and new field-level initiatives by Army personnel.

The commander emphasized that all training and exercises are conducted under real combat conditions, in line with military principles and passive defense requirements, to ensure full readiness for battlefield scenarios. He underlined that all enemy movements are closely monitored, warning that any act of aggression would be answered decisively.

Referring to air defense operations in western Iran, he said several hostile micro aerial vehicles and advanced drones, including Hermes and Heron UAVs, had been successfully intercepted and downed by Iranian air defense systems. Highlighting territorial security as a core mission, the commander said safeguarding Iran’s territorial integrity and independence remains the Army’s top priority.

He also described human resources as a key pillar of national power, stressing the importance of protecting personnel while remaining fully prepared for sacrifice in defense of the nation.

During the visit to the Army Aviation base in Kermanshah, several overhauled helicopters were officially inducted into operational service.

TEHRAN (Iran News)  Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami says Iran’s fight during the 12-day imposed war was not only with Israel but with the core of technology provided by Western and NATO countries to the Tel Aviv regime.

Major General Hatami made the remarks while visiting army units in the cities of Isfahan, Tabriz and Hamedan in order to evaluate and review the combat readiness of the Armed Forces on Saturday.

“They had given the enemy [Israel] everything it needed, and wherever it encountered shortcomings, its allies came to rescue”, he said in reference to Western and NATO support for the Israeli regime.

“The war lasted just 12 days, but gave Iranian forces valuable lessons as some of our pilots had flights and confrontations with the enemy. These experiences must be carefully recorded,” he said.

The enemy intended to harm the Islamic Republic by sowing discord, but suffered a greater and surprising defeat because the people stood firmer than ever for their Islamic establishment.

Major General Hatami continued by saying that the enemy’s main excuse was the nuclear issue, but it had a detailed plan against the Iranian nation, which was made futile. “The enemy intended to destroy our missile capability, but this did not happen; rather, we brought the enemy to its knees with our missile power until the last moment,” he added.

Stating that Iran must be more prepared and stronger militarily, he said the enemy is as evil as it showed in the 12-day war and does not refrain from any crime, but we military personnel have learned that we must turn threats into opportunities.”

The top commander made the remarks in response to recent remarks by Herzi Halevi, chief of staff of the Israeli military forces, claiming the regime’s preparedness to strike Iran even without assistance from the United States.

“We are prepared to take action against Iran,” Halevi boasted on Wednesday, adding, “The Israeli army has the capability to hit both distant and close countries.”

In his statement, General Mousavi said such threats are “intended to boost the morale of the Israeli military troops and address the internal issues of the Zionist regime.”

The Army chief said, “The Zionist regime is too tiny to be regarded as a danger to the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is floundering and its signs of breakdown have become more apparent than ever.”

He also cautioned the Zionist officials that their rash and unwise actions would only hasten the demise of the Israeli regime.

“Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of the two sides’ military capabilities would recognize that the Zionist regime’s power may be similar in size to the upgraded scale of one of Iran’s numerous military operations during the eight years of war in the 1980s,” the general concluded.

Abdolrahim Mousavi made the remarks during an opening ceremony of an exhibition on the capabilities and achievements of the Navy.

Mousavi warned that any Israeli move to operationalize its threats would be met with a “proportionate response”.

“The Zionists’ driveling hails from fear and horror, as leaders of this ominous regime know that if they wished to get such drivel a bit closer to action, they would receive a proportionate response that would put a sooner end to their existence,” Press TV quoted Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi as saying.

Israel has intensified its attempts to derail the Vienna talks on possible lifting of U.S. sanctions against Iran by continually bringing up Iran’s missile and drone capabilities, claiming that Iran acts maliciously in the region, and last but not least, by resorting to the old allegation that Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons.

The Tel Aviv regime has also threatened to wage war against Iran while championing the so-called option of using force against Iran as “diplomacy by other means.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s lead negotiator at the Vienna talks on Sunday censured Israel for trying to sabotage the “atmosphere outside the negotiations hall in an attempt to influence the outcome,” Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network reported.

Israel was the chief opponent of the 2015 nuclear deal, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Late last month, Iran’s security chief brushed aside reports about Israel’s budget for a potential attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, saying the regime must consider the colossal cost of repair after Tehran’s “shocking” response.

“Netanyahu’s efforts to persuade the Trump administration to quit the nuclear agreement have turned out to be the worst strategic mistake in Israel’s history,” Isaac Ben Israel, chairman of Israel’s space agency, said in an interview published at Bloomberg.

“We need to end the negativity and encourage the U.S. to conclude a deal that focuses on the main thing,” Ben Israel said, according to Responsible Statecraft.

‘Hegemons left in ambiguity’

Elsewhere in his remarks, General Mousavi attributed the progressive development of the Navy to “the spirit of moving forward and dissatisfaction with the current situation in the Navy.”

The Navy chief said that the progress made by all the Iranian armed forces, including the naval troops, has left “the army of the Global Arrogance (hegemonic powers) face ambiguity,” quoting one of their leaders as saying recently that “our actions have no benefit and we can’t stop the progress of Iran.”

He further said the anti-Iran sanctions “have lost their efficiency a long time ago,” stating that the progress achieved by the armed forces is attributed to “domestic capabilities.”

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great progress in indigenously developing and manufacturing a broad range of defense equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in this regard.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the Islamic Republic will not hesitate to build up its defense capabilities, emphasizing that such abilities are entirely meant for the purpose of defense and will be never subject to negotiations.
