TEHRAN (Iran News) In a statement issued on the occasion of 9 Dey (December 30), the General Staff honored the memory of Iran’s fallen soldiers and veterans, describing 9 Dey as a historic popular uprising rooted in the will and vigilance of the Iranian nation. The statement emphasized that the armed forces, with full readiness and authority, remain prepared to confront any threat to public security.

The statement recalled the events of 2009, claiming that foreign powers, led by the United States and supported by hostile actors, sought to destabilize Iran by exploiting internal unrest. It said the mass rallies of 9 Dey demonstrated national insight and loyalty, foiling what it described as a complex and dangerous plot and reaffirming the effectiveness of Iran’s political system in overcoming crises.

According to the General Staff, recent threats, media campaigns, psychological operations, and economic pressure against Iran will not succeed. The statement asserted that sanctions, propaganda efforts, and psychological warfare have failed to weaken the Iranian nation, which it said continues to resist external pressure through unity and perseverance.

The Armed Forces General Staff stressed that the Iranian people, guided by the ideals of the late Imam Ruhollah Khomeini and the directives of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, remain steadfast in confronting what it described as hostile ambitions. It warned that any renewed acts of aggression, at any time or place, would be met with responses “far stronger, more decisive, and more damaging” than before.

The statement also paid tribute to martyrs of the eight-year Iran–Iraq war, the so-called 12-day imposed war, the resistance front, national security forces, and victims of terrorism, including the late General Qasem Soleimani.

While emphasizing the need for government officials to address economic and livelihood challenges facing the public, the General Staff concluded by assuring the Iranian people that the armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the country and preserve public security against any threat.

Rear Admiral Sayyari made the remarks on the sidelines of the signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Red Crescent Society on Monday.

In response to US claims about restrictions on Iran’s missile range, he said, “Our primary responsibility is to keep our defensive readiness up-to-date against any threat and any enemy. We have made progress in this area and continue to do so.”

He added, “We are prepared to counter any enemy threats. However, the outcome will depend on politicians pursuing negotiations, both direct and indirect. The military, on the other hand, is always ready to act.”

Rear Admiral Sayyari said, “Rest assured that the Armed Forces—including the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Law Enforcement Force, the Basij, and the Ministry of Defense—are united under the command of the Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. We all share the readiness to respond to any threat, as this is our duty.”

TEHRAN (Iran News) The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrike on Qatar, saying the “savage and terrorist act” was conducted with full support and coordination from the United States.

In a statement on Wednesday, the General Staff denounced the attack as a blatant violation of international norms and a threat to regional stability. It referred to Qatar as a “friendly and brotherly nation,” and said the attack had been carried out with full coordination and backing from the United States.

On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes on Doha to target a meeting of Hamas leaders, who had gathered to review a US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza. Hamas said none of its senior leaders were killed in the attack, but confirmed that five members were martyred.

“It is clear to governments and nations around the world that all of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime are orchestrated and supported by the US government,” the General Staff said in its statement. “Washington bears full responsibility and shows no regard for global public opinion or even its own allies.”

The statement warned that the expansion of Israeli military aggression poses a serious threat to the entire region and beyond.

Coinciding with the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the General Staff called on the Islamic world to remain vigilant and united against the twin threats of American and Israeli militarism. It urged all nations to sever ties with Israel and halt its “mad war machine.”

TEHRAN (Iran News) The general chief of staff of Saudi Arabia’s armed forces, Fayyad al-Ruwaili, will visit Tehran on Sunday to meet with his Iranian counterpart and discuss defense ties.

During the visit, Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili will meet and hold talks with Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri to discuss bilateral ties, defense relations and issues of mutual interest.

Commenting on the significant welcome ceremony of the assassinated top advisor of the Islamic Republic to Lebanon Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, Masjedi said the ideology of the martyrs will surely be followed.

The body of General Nilforoushan returned to Tehran about a week ago after he was assassinated by the Israeli regime in Lebanon along with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in late days of September.
