]]> TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and his Turkish counterpart, Mustafa Sentop, held talks in Antalya on Saturday on issues of mutual interest on sidelines of 12th APA meeting.

The closed-door meeting between the two parliament speakers was held on the sidelines of the 12th Plenary Meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), which started earlier in the day.

Speaking to reporters before leaving to Turkey to attend the APA meeting, Larijani said the organization has made good efforts in recent years to provide opportunities for trade and scientific cooperation.

Like the previous meetings, the new APA plenary would also include negotiations on security issues and sustainable security, he said.

The APA was established in 2006 at the Seventh Session of the Association of Asian Parliamentary for Peace (AAPP). It has 42 Member Parliaments and 16 observers.

The assembly has been created as a forum to exchange views, ideas, and experiences for developing common strategies and promoting peace in Asia and the world, according to its website.

The APA is comprised of the Plenary, the Executive Council, Bureau of the Assembly, the Committees, and the Secretariat.

The Plenary may approve decisions, resolutions, and declarations or submit reports on general policies of the APA and on other subjects related to its activities

 Iranian documentary feature ‘Weavers of Imagination’ directed by Mohammad Sadegh Jafari will compete at the 26th American Psychological Association Film Festival in San Francisco, US.

‘Weavers of Imagination’ recounts the life of a number of visually-impaired people who weave rugs together and how the simple fact of working together fills them with a great sense of happiness.

The Iranian documentary has been accepted into the competition program of the 26th American Psychological Association (APA) Film Festival, scheduled for 9-12 August 2018 in San Francisco, California.

The APA Film Festival is a celebration of psychology through the lens of film.

‘Weavers of Imagination’ has taken part in over 20 international film festivals and won 7 awards, the most recent of which was the Grand Jury Prize for best documentary feature at the 14th edition of the American film festival.
