Freedom Movement, Aligned with America

TEHRAN (Iran News) The official view of the Islamic Republic toward the performance and positions of this party indicates that their fundamental deviations from the system’s ideological outlook are completely Western-oriented, and that their mode of struggle has been parliamentarian.

In this regard, sources close to principlist currents and supporters of the system have raised serious criticisms against the Freedom Movement and consider it a current deviating from the main line of the Revolution. From the perspective of these sources, the main deviations of this party include the following:

First, the intellectual foundations of the Freedom Movement are not compatible with Pure Muhammadan Islam and the official interpretation of Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace) and the Islamic Republic system, and it adopts a completely extreme nationalist approach in opposition to Islamism.

Second, this party has been accused of lack of commitment to Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurist), attempts to establish relations with the United States in the early days of the Revolution, obstruction of the revolutionary path, and misleading the youth.

The main reference for this viewpoint is Imam Khomeini’s letter in 1987, in which he explicitly speaks of the “deviations of the Freedom Movement” and even considers its harm greater than that of other groups.

Statements have also been نقل (quoted) from the Supreme Leader emphasizing the betrayal and attachment of some elements of the Provisional Government to America.

On the other hand, the Freedom Movement presents itself as a “national–religious” party and a supporter of Islamic democracy.

In the official charter of this party, emphasis is placed on being Muslim, being Iranian, supporting constitutionalism, and remaining loyal to Mossadegh’s legacy.

Its bylaws also explicitly stress defending the foundations of the Revolution and the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and striving to realize the principal ideals of the Revolution.

This party played a historical role in the struggle against the Pahlavi regime as well as in forming the Provisional Government after the Revolution, and it counts founders such as Mehdi Bazargan and Ayatollah Seyyed Mahmoud Taleghani among its record.

However, at present this party is not recognized by the Islamic Republic, and its activities in the country have been declared illegal.

The main محور (axis) of tension between the Freedom Movement and the official reading of the Islamic Republic system lies here: one side emphasizes nationalism and democracy with an ostensibly religious flavor, while the other insists on Pure Islam, Velayat-e Faqih, and anti-arrogance (anti-imperialism) as the foundations of the Revolution. Thus, from the perspective of official institutions, the conflict has largely taken shape based on this theoretical disagreement as well as the performance of the Provisional Government led by Engineer Mehdi Bazargan—especially regarding the issue of bypassing Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace) and establishing relations with the United States in the meeting with Brzezinski in Algiers.

Attention to the fact that their way of thinking led to the separation of the Mojahedin-e Khalq, with their pendulum-like stance, raises doubts about the consistency between words and actions.

If we consider the criterion for struggle against the monarchical regime to be both anti-despotism and anti-imperialism, then this party has certainly lacked an anti-colonial outlook.

And without concern, and with clarity, the angle of their divergence is understandable and even measurable.

America and Europe on the Divorce Highway

TEHRAN (Iran News) Europe’s new position in U.S. calculations is portrayed as follows: unlike past documents that emphasized alliance and cooperation, the 2025 U.S. National Security Strategy’s view of Europe is entirely critical and demeaning. The document explicitly warns that Europe faces a “real and severe prospect of civilizational erasure” over the next two decades and that, if current trends continue, it will become politically completely unreliable within 20 years.

The European Union’s migration policies, “censorship of freedom of speech,” suppression of political opponents, low birth rates, and loss of national identity are cited as among the reasons for this decline.

The document explicitly states that “the era of Europe being a burden is over,” and it is unclear whether some European countries will, in the future, have the necessary economic and military capacity to remain reliable allies of the United States. In contrast to this view of Europe, the prevailing spirit of the new document is a redefinition of the Monroe Doctrine with a Trumpian addendum, aimed at America’s unchallenged dominance over its own continent. This is because absolute priority is given to border security and the halting of mass migration as the foremost national security priority, along with preventing the influence of rival powers such as China, Russia, and Iran in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Ensuring reliable access for the United States to strategic routes, resources, and critical supply chains in the region is also emphasized.

With the issuance of the new U.S. security document, Europe first responded with an official protest, followed by practical measures to reduce its dependence.

This two-pronged approach indicates a serious strategic reassessment of Europe’s relations with Washington.

No better title can be given to this than traveling on the divorce highway of the two Western continents.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –A growing wave of discontent is coursing through segments of the U.S. populace, driven by an escalating opposition to the substantial support that the United States provides to Israel.

What were once mere whispers of disapproval have evolved into a resounding outcry, capturing the attention of a global audience increasingly wearied by the daily tragic plight of the Palestinians.

The recent U.S. veto of the United Nations Security Council resolution, intended to halt the military onslaught in Gaza, has become a catalyst, intensifying the flames of dissent among American citizens. Many perceive this action as a tacit endorsement of Israel’s unrestrained aggression, sparking indignation among those calling for a reevaluation of U.S. policies that seemingly endorse the indiscriminate targeting of civilians in the pursuit of geopolitical alliances. It’s noteworthy that this isn’t an isolated incident; the U.S. has wielded its veto power in support of the Israeli regime multiple times. Since 1945, the U.S. has vetoed a total of 34 UN Security Council draft resolutions related to the Israel-Palestine conflict, unequivocally expressing the country’s support for Israel whenever resolutions critiqued their actions in Gaza and the West Bank.

As images of civilian casualties and the devastating destruction of homes and infrastructure in Gaza flood the media, public sentiment has evolved from mere disapproval to active protest. Earlier this week, dozens of activists protested in front of the U.S. Senate office building, demanding the United States to push for a permanent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The demonstrators, clad in black T-shirts reading “Not In Our Name,” chained themselves to the White House fence, scattering fake money on the floor to symbolize the blood money that the U.S. is giving to Israel and holding a banner reading “Aid to Israel = Bombing Palestinians.”

Protest movements, both on social media platforms and in physical gatherings, spotlight the diverse range of concerns among U.S. citizens. Some express dismay over the perceived imbalance in U.S. foreign policy, contending that significant aid to Israel may not align with the broader interests and values of the American people. Many citizens are also questioning the substantial financial aid provided to Israel, drawn from U.S. taxpayer money, leading to heightened scrutiny and calls for transparency in how taxpayer dollars are utilized in foreign aid. This is while Israel receives more than $3 billion in military aid each year, and the U.S. Congress is now weighing a Biden administration proposal to send the occupying regime more than $10 billion in supplemental military support to continue the war against the innocent Gazan civilians.

In addition to financial aid, the U.S. is responsible for providing Israel with some of its most advanced war machinery, including a collection of U.S.-made F-35 fighter jets, which is considered the most advanced fighters in the world. Israel is now using these weapons to attack Gaza, according to open-source accounts. According to a Washington Post investigation, Israel also used U.S.-supplied internationally banned white phosphorus munitions in an October attack in southern Lebanon.

While people in the United States express growing discontent with their country’s stance on the Gaza conflict, President Joe Biden hosted a White House reception on Monday to mark Hanukkah, celebrating the Jewish festival of lights, and affirming, “I am a Zionist,” promising continued military assistance to Israel.

The unanimous backing from the U.S. political machinery for Israel, despite international pleas for restraint, has left a bitter taste for those seeking justice and an end to the suffering in Gaza. This allegiance, perceived by some as an unchecked carte blanche for Israel to act with impunity, has fueled a groundswell of dissatisfaction, not only with the policies themselves but also with the broader ethical and moral implications of such unwavering support.

Recent polling indicates that younger Americans are now taking a more fierce stance on the Gaza conflict and are more likely to support Palestinians. According to a Quinnipiac University national poll released in mid-November, 52% of younger voters, ages 18-34, said their sympathies lie more with the Palestinians while 29% said they side with the Israelis.

This discontent among the American public is now evolving into a global movement demanding accountability, transparency, and a recalibration of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, emphasizing the ethical responsibility of a nation that champions human rights but seemingly turns a blind eye to the human suffering in Gaza. Younger Americans, in particular, are more likely to support Palestinians, according to recent polling, revealing a shift in sentiments that transcends national borders.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called America “the most important supporter of the killing of women and children in Gaza.”

President Raisi, in a tweet on Sunday evening, reacted to the U.S. veto of the UAE-drafted resolution which called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

“While the world demands an end to Zionist war crimes in Palestine, the U.S.’s veto of the UNSC ceasefire resolution proves it is the root of this war & crimes, and it’s fueling Israel’s mass killing machine. It is the main supporter of the massacre of innocent Gazan women & children,” the statement read.

The United States vetoed the resolution backed by almost all other Council members. The U.S. move took place as the UN chief called the situation in Gaza a “humanitarian nightmare.”

Thirteen Security Council members voted in favor of a brief draft resolution, put forward by the United Arab Emirates, while the United Kingdom abstained.

The vote came after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made a rare move on Wednesday to formally warn the 15-member Council of a threat to global peace and security from the two-month-long war in the Gaza Strip.

In the wake of the U.S. administration’s stance regarding the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Robert Wood, deputy U.S. ambassador to the UN, said, “We do not support calls for an immediate ceasefire. This would only plant the seeds for the next war.”

The U.S. veto once more proved Washington is an accomplice to Tel Aviv’s war crimes, genocide, and war against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

It is the second time since the beginning of the Gaza war that the U.S. has vetoed a resolution, aligning itself with Israel. The U.S. claims a ceasefire would help Hamas to rearm and keep hold of its 138 hostages in the Strip.

On Oct. 18, a day after the bombardment of Al-Ahli hospital in northern Gaza by the Israeli army, the U.S. alone also blocked a similar resolution calling for a ceasefire presented by Brazil. It argued that the text did not mention “Israel’s right to self-defense.”

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry has stated that the U.S. decision to approve the Israeli regime’s return to its attacks on the Gaza Strip exposes the “real face” of American human rights and represents a serious moral embarrassment for Washington.

Nasser Kanaani expressed his dismay over Israel’s “brutal military attacks” on Gaza in a post on his X account on Saturday.

In the 24 hours after a week-long truce, Israel has murdered almost 200 Palestinians and injured 600 more.

He said that nearly 16,000 Palestinians had been brutally killed in 48 days as a consequence of war crimes, infanticide, and genocide before the one-week truce, however, the United States greenlighted the restart of Israeli strikes on December 1.

“This amounts to a major moral scandal for the U.S. government and has shown the true face of American human rights to the world,” Kanaani asserted.

During a message on Thursday, Kanaani also reacted to Israeli air strikes on buildings in Gaza, minutes after the truce deal expired on Friday morning.

Kanaani stressed the key role of the United States in backing the apartheid Israeli regime which has resulted in the continuation of the hostilities against Gaza.

“It is evident that the political and legal responsibility for the ongoing aggression and the relentless massacre of the Palestinian people lies not only with the criminal acts of the Zionist regime but also with the U.S. government and some other countries complicit in this apartheid regime’s actions,” he wrote.

The spokesman further noted that the military attack by the Zionist regime on Friday morning occurred moments before the departure of U.S. Secretary of State Blinken from the occupied territories.

In a post on X on Friday, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Iranian Foreign Minister, noted that the key to resolving the situation lies in the continuation of the truce, the dispatch of substantial humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the negotiation of an agreement for the exchange of prisoners.

He asserted that the liberation of prisoners should not be sought through war, as it leads to their tragic demise in bombings.

Warning against the consequences of perpetuating the conflict, Amir Abdollahian expressed concern about the potential for another massacre in Gaza and the West Bank.

He pointed out that the decision-makers and the international community appear to underestimate the severe repercussions of returning to a state of war.

Amir Abdollahian emphasized that, in the end, the true determining factor is the will of the Palestinian people. Urging immediate action, he underscored the need to halt the attacks on Gaza before it’s too late.

Following the conclusion of a week-long truce, the Israeli regime has resumed its bombing of Gaza, striking several locations around the territory.

The head of the UN humanitarian affairs has once more demanded an end to hostilities in Gaza, stating that the beleaguered people are “surrounded by disease, destruction, and death.”

According to Gaza’s health ministry since October 7, almost 15,550 Palestinians have lost their lives in Gaza.

As the indiscriminate Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip resumed, news agencies from around the world were scrambling to get the first photos from the war zone.

The only pictures they could get their hands on were those of little girls crying after being treated for injuries as a result of Israeli tank shells as well as women and children shedding tears as they sat near their homes, leveled to the ground by Israeli warplanes.

Other pictures showed injured and traumatized-looking children being carried away from the rubble in Rafah and the destruction of houses in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The photos portray the same scenes that Palestinian women and children have endured since October 7.

Hamas has blamed the Israeli occupation for violating the truce and effectively neglecting its own captives.

The group accused the regime of rejecting all offers to release more hostages.

It said “the Zionist occupation” bore responsibility for “resuming war and aggression”.

Following a seven-day pause in the war on Gaza, the Israeli regime is conducting what it had done best since October 7: Bombing civilian sites with powerful and indiscriminate force, killing women and children while flattening residential zones to the ground.
A spokesman for the Palestinian health ministry said the occupation regime was committing new massacres in the Gaza Strip immediately after the end of the truce.

The Gaza government media office said the international community, led by the United States, bears responsibility for the Israeli crimes after giving it the green light to continue the war without showing any regard to the laws of war and international and humanitarian laws.

Experts believe the Israeli occupation would not have been allowed to resume its devastating attacks against Gaza without a “greenlight” from Washington. The same greenlight with which the United States allowed the regime to start the war on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli regime resumed its aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip while U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken was still in Israel. Blinken, whose boasting of his Jewish heritage enraged several regional leaders in the first days of Israeli aggression, stated that Washington is backing Tel Aviv’s war on Gaza.

One day after the war on Gaza began, U.S. President Joe Biden was in Tel Aviv encouraging the Zionist regime to wage war on the tiny coastal enclave.

“I am a Zionist,” Biden proudly declared in Tel Aviv, pledging his unwavering support for the Israeli war on Palestinian women and children.

The American and Zionist politicians and generals who had gathered in a Tel Aviv hotel nodded in approval, as Israeli bombs were “mowing the grass” against civilian sites in the Gaza Strip.

Aaron David Miller, a former Middle East negotiator who served six secretaries of state in both Democratic and Republican administrations, pointed out that “Biden’s connection to (the Israeli occupation) is deeply engrained in his political DNA.”

The Gaza government office added that the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves by all means to achieve their freedom and independence.

As reports surfaced that the Israeli occupation had violated the ceasefire by bombing Gaza, there were instant reports of dozens of civilians killed.

Within hours, that number changed to scores of civilians, and throughout the day, the figure increased.

The Palestinian health ministry has said 40 percent of the more than 15,000 people that the Israeli army has killed in Gaza were children (more than 6,000). It is a death toll that seems acceptable to the regime’s staunchest ally, the United States.

Qatar, which played a pivotal role in the temporary truce between the Israeli occupation and Hamas, said mediation efforts to extend the seven-day ceasefire had been complicated by the Israeli bombing of Gaza.
The Qatari foreign ministry called on the international community “to move quickly to stop the violence” and the “humanitarian catastrophe”.

“Qatar expresses its deep regret at the resumption of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip following the end of the humanitarian pause, without reaching an agreement to extend it,” it said.

The ministry added it was committed, along with other parties, to continue efforts to return the calm, and condemned “all forms of targeting civilians, the practice of collective punishment, and attempts to forcibly displace citizens of the besieged Gaza Strip”.

The resumption of airstrikes has reportedly killed a number of ambulance crew near al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.

The occupation regime also launched raids near the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza, and artillery shells fell on the roof of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.

One Israeli missile struck 50 meters from the biggest functioning hospital in the territory, according to James Elder, a UNICEF spokesperson who was inside the building.

In a post on social media, Elder said, “The health system here is overwhelmed. This hospital simply cannot take more children with the wounds of war.”

“We cannot see more children… with the burns, with the shrapnel littering their body, with the broken bones. Inaction by those with influence is allowing the killing of children. This is a war on children.”

The UN’s children’s agency, UNICEF, has called the failure to halt the war on Gaza “an approval of the killing of children”.

Aaron David Miller, a former Middle East negotiator who served six secretaries of state in both Democratic and Republican administrations, pointed out that “Biden’s connection to (the Israeli occupation regime) is deeply engrained in his political DNA.”The Israeli Air Force has dropped leaflets in the southern Gazan city of Khan Younis ordering its residents to leave the now very densely populated area and travel to so-called shelters in the Rafah area.

“We have warned you,” the leaflets said with total disregard to the rules of war that forbid the practice of forcibly displacing people.

The Israeli military had already forcibly transferred the residents of northern Gaza to the south, warning them that they would only find a safe haven there.

It is now doing the same to the residents of the south, warning them to move (under heavy bombardment) to the border with Egypt.

In the previous warnings and the current one, the Israeli air force bombed the north and the south.

11 Palestinian civilians, including five children, have been reportedly killed after Israeli bombs landed near Rafah, where the regime has now ordered Palestinians to travel towards.

UN bodies have warned it is impossible for Gaza’s 2.3 million population to seek alleged shelter at small areas in what is already the most densely populated territory on the planet.

As the cruel regime continued its aggression against the civilians on Friday, reports suggested Israeli warplanes had launched a series of raids on south of the Strip.

The regime also attacked the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, bombed areas northwest of Gaza City and the Jabalia refugee camp.

Israeli war planes targeted the al-Taqwa Mosque in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.

Among other sites, Israeli missiles also landed north of Nuseirat in central Gaza.

Palestinian media reported that the Israeli raids killed Abdullah Darwish?, a photojournalist, thereby bringing to 71 the number of journalists killed in any combat zone around the world in history.
The truce entered into force on November 24 last month and began for a period of four days. It was extended twice, first for two days and then for one day.

Despite Qatari efforts, the Israeli bombings with the backing of the Biden administration have made it impossible for the week-old truce to be extended for a third time.

The United Nations has described the development as “catastrophic”.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, “I deeply regret that military operations have started again in Gaza”.

During the temporary truce, seven rounds of exchanges, which involved Israeli captives and Palestinian prisoners, took place between the resistance in Gaza and the Israeli occupation.

As part of the terms of the truce, which stipulates the release of three Palestinian prisoners from the Israeli prisons in exchange for every Israeli captive held by the Hamas resistance movement and the entry of critically needed humanitarian aid into Gaza, there was an option to extend the ceasefire.

According to Egyptian security and aid sources, humanitarian supplies and fuel intended for Gaza has been stopped at the Rafah crossing.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the terrorist attack in the Shah Cheragh shrine in southern Iran will be recorded in the history of the country, stressing that it brought further disgrace to the United States.

The Leader made the remarks in a Tuesday meeting with the bereaved families of the martyrs of the terrorist attack deadly in the southern province of Fars late in October.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the United States was the creator and supporter of Daesh terrorist group, which claimed responsibility for the Shah Cheragh attack, adding that the criminal perpetrators and their founders are both complicit in the crime.

They are such inveterate liars and are so hypocritical that hoist the human rights flag in words but create dangerous terror groups in practice, Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The Leader said killing pilgrims is quite different from other acts of terror and brings further disgrace to the enemy.

A heavily-armed terrorist assaulted the well-known shrine at approximately 5:45 p.m. local time (1415 GMT) on October 26, just before the evening prayers, killing 15 pilgrims — including a lady and two children — and injuring at least 40 others.

The attacker opened fire indiscriminately on visitors within the shrine, according to the police commander of Fars province. The perpetrator was wounded and taken into custody by security personnel. He later succumbed to his wounds.

Soon afterward, Daesh claimed responsibility for the act of terror.

Ayatollah Khamenei also urged culture and art institutions to pay attention to the tragic incident and other historical issues and hand them over to future generations.

Iran’s young generation does not have enough information about past incidents such as the anti-Iran terrorist group best known as the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO), the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that cultural and media bodies should produce artistic products about the Shah Cheragh incident and other historical issues, noting that there are shortcomings in media works about issues pertaining to the history and events of the Islamic Revolution and the enemies’ crimes.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The United States has been involved in hundreds of wars, invasions, coups and conflicts around the globe, yet it claims to be the flagbearer of the international fight for freedom, liberation and human rights.

In addition to its crimes, atrocities and attempts to divide countries, Washington stands accused of seditious acts through a widespread social media campaign and its embassies around the globe have been censured for their role in destabilizing different regions of the world.

The U.S. itself was founded on violence against the indigenous people of America and since then it has survived on instigating violence with its hegemonic dreams and hopes of global hegemony following the collapse of the British empire.

Over the past two decades Washington has had its eyes on West Asia with the disastrous invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as its support for Takfiri terrorist groups in countries such as Syria and Libya and in particular the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It has since expanded its warmongering approach towards Eastern Europe with the aim of containing rising superpowers such as Russia. It has also pinned its hopes on China’s domestic issues such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, Xinjiang and elsewhere with the hope of containing the rising economic and military power of Beijing.

In essence, what is very clear is that wherever there is a U.S. presence, there is also insecurity and no stability in that part of the world.

U.S. President Joe Biden claims the U.S. will “free” Iran. Speaking at a campaign speech in California on Thursday, he said “don’t worry, we’re gonna free Iran,”. The reality is, as noted by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iran was freed from U.S. captivity by toppling the puppet Pahlavi regime.

“I am telling Biden that Iran was freed 43 years ago,” Raisi said in reference to the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

It is also important to note that the Iranian people were free in 1953 before the American CIA and British MI6 orchestrated a coup that toppled the democratically elected government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadeq and replaced it with a puppet regime to loot the country’s large oil and gas resources. This is something both Washington and its Western allies publicly acknowledge. The reality is that the U.S. has been trying to repeat the exact same scenario in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. It has no interest in freedom or the livelihoods of Iranian people. Experts say human rights are observed in Iran more than the United States where minority groups, including Black Americans, face systematic discrimination.

The U.S. claims it wants to free the Iranian nation while at the same time it has imposed the harshest ever sanctions on Iranian people that have caused the majority of the country’s population to suffer. American sanctions prevented and continue to prevent patients suffering from serious diseases, such as cancer or rare skin diseases, to gain access to vital medicines by banning money transfer from Iran. This is under the name of “U.S. freedom”. American widespread support for riots in Iran over the past few weeks have also led to the brutal death of police forces. This is the freedom and human rights that America seeks to spread and preaches about.

The closer the United States approaches Iranian borders or any other border in West Asia and beyond (under the guise of freedom and human rights), the more insecurity grows in that country. And the U.S. has dozens of military bases surrounding Iranian borders but an independent Iran has proven it has the capability to prevent the Pentagon from toppling the Islamic Republic because of Tehran’s military might.

On the other hand, governments and kingdoms that have linked their own national security interests (knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly) to the U.S. have been toppled because of their lack of sovereignty.

In cases where they have not been toppled, the U.S. is stirring sedition and divide nations. This policy of spreading instability helps American arms manufacturers make lucrative profits from weapons deliveries, as has been witnessed in many countries, such as Cuba and other Latin American countries and more recently to Syria, Libya, Ukraine, etc.

The U.S. State Department has demanded that North Korea refrain from taking any defensive measures to protect its territory, and instead engage in dialogue. This is while the United States has hundreds of warplanes buzzing around North Korean borders in joint war games that have been extended and which Pyongyang views as a rehearsal for an imminent invasion. North Korea has test-fired ballistic missiles in response to these war games and Pyongyang, unsurprisingly, has been denounced by Washington for stirring up trouble.

In other words, the U.S. is allowed to hold the largest ever war games next to North Korea with the deployment of B-1B strategic bombers but the North is not allowed to test its own missiles to protect its territorial integrity.

The U.S. Navy missile-guided destroyers and other warships including U.S. warplane carriers and strike groups regularly sail in the South China Sea and expect China to remain silent, which by the way Beijing has exercised praiseworthy patience with its diplomatic approach to the U.S. provocations. A reflection of how one country is not after seeking military confrontation and how another has a warmongering approach under the pretext of spreading freedom that nobody even requested in the first place.

Critics argue that the delusional idea that Washington can provide security guarantees for another country can’t be further from the truth. The fact of the matter is, as history has shown and proven, the U.S. only looks after its own interests, makes lucrative profit from its military adventurism and once these America’s interests are gone, so are the alleged security guarantees that Washington once promised to provide for certain governments and rulers and kings.

According to different researches the U.S. has been involved in hundreds of wars, conflicts and coups throughout its short history.

When Washington speaks about women’s rights, at the same time, one only has to look at how many women the U.S. army has killed or starved to death because of the wars it has launched or directly supported.

How many women have been murdered in Yemen as a result of America’s direct support for the war on the country? At the end of the day, it was U.S. bombs that fell on the heads of civilians, which killed hundreds of thousands of Yemenis, many of them women and children. How many American bombs destroyed hospitals in Yemen under the name of spreading freedom?

How many women and children has the United States murdered in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan (to name a few) when its missiles landed on civilian buildings and other public institutions?

How many terrorist groups has the United States supported, backed, armed and provided logistical as well as intelligence support in Syria under the pretext of spreading its so-called freedom for the Syrian people.

The truth is under Washington’s so-called “war on terror”, following the September 11 attacks, global Takfiri terrorism has grown rapidly, creating further international instability.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that contrary to what some might naively think the United States is an “untouchable” power, it is totally vulnerable.

On the occasion of the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei met with a group of Iranian students on Wednesday.

The 13th day of the Iranian calendar month of Aban, which falls on November 4 this year, is known as Student Day in Iran, marking the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance.

On this day 44 years ago, a group of Iranian university students took over the US embassy in Tehran, which had turned into a center of espionage.

Each year, Iranians take to the streets across the nation to commemorate the occasion in massive rallies.

“The 13th of Aban is not only a historical day, but also a day of experience, said the Leader in today’s meeting, adding that “the historical events that happened on this day cannot be forgotten, and they should not be forgotten.”

The Leader also called on Iranians to use the experience of the 13th of Aban that has lessons for the people, their future, and the country.

Ayatollah Khamenei further pointed out that while some people naively think that the US power is unbeatable, they must know that it is very vulnerable.

The Leader said that Washington’s animosity towards Iran goes back much earlier than the takeover of the embassy in Tehran in 1980 to the CIA-led coup against the Iranian Mossadegh government in 1953.

The 1953 coup was the starting point of the row between the Iranian nation and the United States, the Leader highlighted.

“Our row with the Americans started that day (in the 1953 coup),” he pointed out.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the Mossadegh government trusted the Americans, naively thinking that they would support his government against the British, but he was toppled by them and taken to prison along with the people with him.

The Leader further said now the American politicians are hypocritically and shamelessly saying that they support the Iranian nation, noting that the U.S. is involved in any anti-Iran events.

Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, they imposed history’s most severe sanctions against Iran, he went on to point out.

The Leader also that Americans shamelessly announced that they assassinated the Iranian top commander Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, and were bragging about it.

“Martyr Soleimani was the hero of the region who played a great role in solving the problems of several countries in the region,” he asserted.

The Americans supported the Zionists who assassinated Iranian nuclear scientists one after another, he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei further pointed to the recent riots in some cities in Iran, saying that the United States, the Zionist Israeli regime, and some malicious European regimes waged a hybrid war by fooling some youths and backing armed terrorist groups to foment riots in the country but failed to achieve their goal because of the nation’s awareness.

He pointed to the recent terrorist attack in Shah Cheragh in Shiraz and vowed that the perpetrators will be identified and punished.

In the end, he pointed out that the US is not the dominant power in the world anymore in the newly emerging system, telling the youths to recognize Iran’s important role and place in the new world system.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – One day before giving its much-awaited response to the European Union’s proposal on the Vienna nuclear talks, the United States launched a precision strike against Syria that escalated tensions without any credible reason.

“At President Biden’s direction, U.S. military forces conducted precision airstrikes in Deir ez-Zor Syria today,” CENTCOM Communication Director Colonel Joe Buccino said in a statement on Tuesday. “These precision strikes are intended to defend and protect U.S. forces from attacks like the ones on August ۱۵ against U.S. personnel by Iran-backed groups. The U.S. strikes targeted infrastructure facilities used by groups affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.”

General Michael “Erik” Kurilla, commander of CENTCOM put out a similar statement, saying that “the strike in eastern Syria was in response to attacks by Iran-backed groups against US forces in Syria on August ۱۵th and demonstrates our resolve to defend U.S. forces and equipment.”

Iran denied any involvement with the groups the U.S. struck. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned U.S. aggression on Syria. “Kanaani has strongly condemned the US Army’s aggression on Wednesday morning against the people and infrastructure of Syria as a violation of the country’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity,” the Iranian foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Kanaani said the US Army’s new aggression against the Syrian people is an act of terror against popular groups fighting against occupation. He denied any link between those groups and Iran, according to the statement.

He added that the continued presence of US forces in parts of Syrian soil is against international law and constitutes a breach of Syria’s sovereignty and occupation. Kanaani noted, “Hence, the US must immediately leave Syria and stop plundering the country’s oil resources and grains.”

The Syria drama came at a time when all partners in the Vienna talks waits for an American reply to the Iranian and EU proposals. Iran responded to the EU proposal on the nuclear talks more than a week ago and despite the fact that Washington immediately received the Iranian response, it refrained from giving an answer. The U.S. response was expected to be announced on Wednesday, according to press reports.

The U.S strike against Syria could be intended to convey a message the U.S. is still committed to countering Iran’s influence in the region through its illegal presence in Syria and other places even after returning to the ۲۰۱۵ nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). This is because the U.S. has done everything in its power to broach non-nuclear issues at the Vienna talks, only to be met with fierce Iranian opposition.

One such issue was Iran’s influence in the region. But Iran said that its sway in the region has nothing to do with the U.S., which itself is a foreign power.

But the U.S. recent strike is unlikely to intimidate Iran into accepting regional negotiations with the U.S.

After failing to expand the original JCPOA, the U.S. resorted to weird allegations such as the ones being propagated by Western media these days.

Concurrently with the Syria strike, a Reuters report alleged that Iran has dropped one of its demands in the talks which is the removal of the IRGC from the U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organizations list. The report also claimed that Iran took a softer line on the UN nuclear watchdog’s allegations against its past nuclear work.

These allegations have been debunked by Iranian officials. Mohammad Jamshidi, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to the Iranian President, provided a similar account. “Delisting the IRGC from the FTO was an American offer to the former Iranian administration to incentivize Iran to accept Regional & Missile negotiations. The US firmly believed that without it there will be no return to the agreement. The Raisi team rejected it,” he said on Twitter.

Jamshidi added, “US then said, removal from FTO in return for forgetting those responsible for the terror attack on General Soleimani. Iran said NO. They then offered ۳ alternatives for the security of their personnel. Iran rejected them and the US backed off. So, who is Dropping their Demands?”
