TEHRAN (Iran News) Ayatollah Khamenei made the remark in a meeting with the members of the Assembly of Experts of the Leadership at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah of Tehran on Thursday, November 7.

In the meeting, which took place at the conclusion of the second session of the sixth term of the Assembly, Ayatollah Khamenei recognized and commended the position of the Assembly of Experts, describing it as one of the most revolutionary institutions in terms of its relationship with the Islamic Revolution. The Leader emphasized that the rationale behind utilizing this interpretation is the Assembly of Experts’ role in selecting the country’s leadership.

Ayatollah Khamenei also underscored the growth, dynamism, and continued strong resistance of Hezbollah and Hamas. “Based on the irrefutable promises of divine support and drawing upon the experiences of the victorious resistance of Hezbollah and Hamas in past decades, the recent events will definitely lead to the victory of the Front of Truth and the Resistance Front.”

Emphasizing the paramount significance of the Assembly of Experts and the imperative of utmost care and attention in selecting the Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “The greatest precision in discerning the qualifications outlined in the Constitution for the Leadership position must be exercised. All criteria, including a strong sincere belief in the path and objectives of the Revolution, and a readiness for continuous, tireless progress toward this goal, must be evaluated to ensure that the individual is indeed worthy of this responsibility.”

In expounding upon the significance of the Assembly of Experts, the Leader stated that the existence of the Assembly of Experts shows that there will be no interruption in the progression of the system towards its goals. For, should the need arise, the Experts will promptly appoint the next leader, ensuring an unbroken chain of leadership, endowed with full power and capacity.

The Leader identified the system’s independence from individuals as one of the underlying truths revealed by the seamless process of leadership selection. “These transitions demonstrate that while individuals are entrusted with specific missions to fulfill, the system itself is not reliant upon them and can continue its course even in the absence of these particular individuals,” he asserted, khamenei.ir reported.

During his address, Ayatollah Khamenei made a reference to the significance of this period coinciding with the fortieth day after the martyrdom of the distinguished and tireless mujahid of our time, Martyr Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. The Leader paid tribute to Nasrallah and other commanders and leaders of the Resistance, including Martyrs Haniyeh, Safieddine, Sinwar, and Nilforushan. “These martyrs have brought honor to the Resistance Front and increased its power and ability.”

The Leader hailed Hezbollah as the enduring legacy of Martyr Nasrallah, further asserting, “Thanks to the extraordinary courage, wisdom, patience, and trust in God exhibited by the Seyed (master) of the Resistance, Hezbollah has experienced exceptional growth. As a result, no enemy armed with a vast array of material and propagandistic weapons has been able to, nor will be able to, God willing, overcome this remarkable phenomenon”.

Referring to the blatant bloodstained hands of the US and certain European countries in their complicity in the crimes committed against Gaza and Lebanon, he asserted that the outcome of continued powerful resistance efforts in Lebanon, Gaza, and Palestine would be the victory of the Front of Truth and the Resistance Front. “One reason for the promising outlook of the Resistance Movement is the undeniable divine promise, which, after permitting jihad for those who have been oppressed, emphasizes that if God’s cause is assisted, then the provision of God’s help will be certain,” he stated.

Ayatollah Khamenei considered the victories of the Resistance against the Zionist invaders over the past few decades as another clear reason for the realization of the ultimate victory of the Front of Truth. “In the past 40 years, Hezbollah has forced the Zionist regime to retreat in various stages from cities like Beirut, Sidon, and Tyre, and completely from southern Lebanon, emptying the cities, villages, and heights of this country of the sinister presence of that regime.”

The Leader highlighted how Hezbollah’s remarkable achievements in overcoming an enemy armed with diverse military, propagandistic, political, and economic resources, as well as substantial support from global transgressors like the US presidents, illustrated the incremental increase in Hezbollah’s capabilities and transformation from a small group of fighters on the path of God to a powerful organization.

He considered the Palestinian Resistance as the current victors in the battle against the Zionist occupiers. “The Zionists’ goal in this war was to uproot Hamas, but despite the mass killing of tens of thousands of people and the assassination of Resistance and Hamas leaders, and the revelation of their hideous, repulsive, isolated, and despised image to the world, they were unable to achieve this goal. Hamas continues to fight, which is indicative of the Zionist regime’s defeat,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei described Hezbollah as a strong organization that is steadfast in its unwavering resistance against the Zionist regime. He added, “Certain individuals in Lebanon, particularly in political circles, have mistakenly assumed that Hezbollah has been weakened and have started to blame the organization. However, they are mistaken and delusional, because despite the loss of prominent leaders like Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyed Safieddine, Hezbollah, with its high morale and dedicated fighters, is continuing to fight powerfully. The enemy has not been able to defeat it and it never will.”

The Leader underscored that, “There will come a day when the world and the region will witness the unequivocal defeat of the Zionist regime at the hands of the mujahideen and I hope that all of you will witness that day.”

He also paid tribute to Martyrs Raisi and Ale-Hashem, the late representatives of the Sixth Assembly of Experts.

TEHRAN (Iran News) On the occasion of the Arbaeen (40th) of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), Ayatollah Khamenei attended the event for the recitation of Ziyarat Arbaeen and a mourning ceremony for the third Shiite Imam.

It was held at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah of Tehran on Sunday morning.

University students from throughout Iran also participated in the event, Khamenei.ir reported.

Arbaeen is a national holiday in Iran. It marks the 40th day after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), in 680 AD.

On Arbaeen, the Iraqi city of Karbala, which hosts the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), has attracted millions of pilgrims, even non-Muslims, who create the world’s hugest human gathering in modern history.

TEHRAN (Iran News)During a meeting with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, and Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, in Tehran on Tuesday, Ayatollah Khamenei commended the extraordinary steadfastness and resistance of the oppressed people of Gaza. “Today, the most prominent flag of Islam is in the hands of the Palestinian nation and the people of Gaza. Thanks to their resistance, the grounds for promoting Islam have been provided more than ever before,” he remarked.

The Leader emphasized that a key concern among Islamic thinkers is how to effectively promote Islam and present a model of an Islamic society. He further noted that the growing interest in Islam today is a testament to the greatness of the resilience of the Palestinian people and the people of Gaza.

“The profound greatness and glory of the Resistance mainly stem from the people of Gaza and the residents of the West Bank, and we hope that the Palestinian nation and the Resistance Forces will receive divine assistance and support,” the Leader stated, Khamenei.ir reported.

During the meeting, Haniyeh extended his congratulations on the election of Iran’s new president, characterizing the recent elections as a testament to democracy rooted in Islamic thought. Reflecting on his discussion with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, he said, “In this meeting, we once again witnessed the good and firm positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the issue of Palestine and the Resistance Movement, and this is something that fills us with pride.”

While explaining the latest military and political situation in Gaza and the West Bank, Haniyeh stated, “Yesterday marked the 300th day of the Gaza War, and we have now reached a critical and historic stage in which the Palestinian people and the Resistance Forces must sustain their heroism and victory.”

Ziyad al-Nakhalah also congratulated the election of Pezeshkian as the new Iranian president, commending him for his steadfast support of Palestine and the Resistance. “The joint presence of the leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad at today’s meeting symbolically represents the unity of the Resistance Forces in Palestine. Thanks to this unity, coordination and cooperation among the Resistance Font in the region are also at their best,” he stated.

TEHRAN (Iran News) In a ceremony in Tehran on Sunday, July 28, Ayatollah Khamenei formally endorsed Masoud Pezeshkian, in accordance with Article 110, Clause 9 of the Iranian Constitution, appointing him as the 9th president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After granting the endorsement decree to the new president, the Leader hailed the fourteenth presidential election as a significant triumph for the Iranian nation in an important test.

“Despite the atmosphere of public sorrow caused by the death of our martyred president, The 14th presidential election was admirable as it was a calm, healthy, competitive election, and rivals showed a moral behavior toward the president-elect after the elections,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei reflected on the emergence of democracy, competition, and integrity in the country as a direct outcome of the nation’s uprising and revolution in response to the dire conditions of the past.

“From the very first day of the (Revolution’s) victory, Imam Khomeini (RA) resolutely established the unprecedented involvement, presence, and influence of the people in the administration of the country,” he added, Khamenei.ir reported.

Elsewhere in his speech, the Leader referred to the issue of Gaza, describing it as a global matter. He emphasized, “There was a time when the subject of Palestine was solely a concern for Islamic countries. (But) today, the issue of Palestine and Gaza have become a general, global concern. From inside the US Congress to the United Nations, the Paris Olympics, and everywhere else, this issue is currently gaining attention and spreading (worldwide).”

Ayatollah Khamenei condemned the barbaric actions of the usurping Zionist regime, describing it as a gang of criminals, murderers, and terrorists.

“The Zionist regime is not a government. They’re a gang of criminals. They’re a gang of murderers. They’re a gang of terrorists. In their acts of terrorism, cruelty, and crime, they’ve reached a new level in their shocking crimes in the history of human criminality in the world,” the Leader asserted.

The Leader also highlighted the martyrdom of countless infants, children, hospital patients, and women in Gaza, stating, “The heavy bombs of the Zionists are being dropped on those who have not even fired a single bullet.”

In the continuation of his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the necessity for the government to be active in various matters, particularly in foreign policy. “In the face of global waves and events, particularly regional issues and political matters, as well as scientific advancements like artificial intelligence, you need to confront these issues with an active, effective approach instead of reacting passively,” he stated.

The Leader emphasized that neglecting global and regional events is unacceptable, adding that, “Whenever something happens, we take a stance regarding it. We should express this position clearly, explicitly, and with strength and dignity so that the world understands what Islamic Iran has to say on the issue.”

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The Leader cast his ballot at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniya of Tehran at 8 am local time, with enthusiastic journalists and photographers present at the site of the voting.

In comments after voting in the 14th presidential election, Ayatollah Khamenei prayed that the best days and years would come for the Iranian nation.

Describing the election day as a day of happiness and exhilaration for Iranians, the Leader said it is even more important when it comes to presidential election, which will shape the fate of the country’s next few years.

Highlighting the importance of the presence of people in the polls, Ayatollah Khamenei said a high turnout of voters is a “definite need” for the Islamic Republic, which is founded upon the presence of people.

The continuation, honor, dignity and strength of the Islamic Republic in the world hinges on people’s presence, the Leader stated.

Ayatollah Khamenei called on people to participate in the “important political test” of voting and take it serious.

Asked about the undecided and hesitant eligible voters, the Leader stressed that the people should have no doubts and take part in the polls, since it is not a difficult process, but an easy job, yet with important results.

Polling stations across Iran opened at 8 am local time and will continue to receive voters for ten hours. However, the Interior Ministry may extend the election period if necessary.

More than 61,450,000 eligible Iranian voters can take part in the ongoing elections inside the country and abroad.

The individuals born on or before June 28, 2006, are eligible to vote.

Around 59,000 polling stations have been set up across the country, including over 15,000 mobile stations.

A total of 340 polling stations have been also set up in 100 countries to enable the Iranian expatriates to take part in the election.

Forces from the Police, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Basij are tasked with ensuring security of the election.

There are four candidates seeking presidency in the polls, including Saeed Jalili, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Masoud Pezeshkian. Two other hopefuls, Alireza Zakani and Amir Hossein Qazizadeh Hashemi dropped out of the race on Wednesday and Thursday.

The candidates have been singled out by the Constitutional Council from 80 applicants seeking the presidency.

The new administration, the 14th one after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, will assume power in late June or early July and hold office for four years.

The polls take place a year ahead of schedule, as Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi passed away in May.

A helicopter carrying President Raisi and his entourage crashed in northwestern mountainous forests on May 19, killing the president, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and six others.
