“In the next few days, we will celebrate the 41st anniversary of the victory of… the Islamic Revolution,” Rear Admiral Fadavi said in a ceremony held in the holy city of Qom to commemorate revered IRGC commander Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

It was a revolution that over the past decades confronted the global arrogance (the US), he added.

The Islamic Revolution with the grace of God and the faith of the great nation of Iran has stood up to the global arrogance and today it has become a major world power, the commander went on to say.

“Today the Islamic Revolution with its wise leadership is a role model for the free nations of the world and has founded the Islamic Resistance Front,” he went on to say.

The remark came as nationwide rallies are slated to be held in Iran on Tuesday to mark the 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 41 years ago, on February 11, 1979, ending 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution, led by Imam Khomeini, established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.

Every year, Iranians mark the anniversary of their Islamic Revolution from February 1 to 11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) ceremonies.

February 1, 1979, was the date when Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned from exile in Paris to Tehran.

“The US operation (assassination of Gen. Soleimani) was not a complicated one in terms of military and technology capabilities, therefore it had no military value, and so we could also send our drones and target any moving targets with laser missiles,” Brigadier General Fadavi said about the US message to Iran in an interview with Iranian State TV on Friday.

Referring to the Islamic Republic’s promise of harsh revenge for the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, General Fadavi said, “Americans should wait for that hard revenge; which is not just up to Iran. It is true that Gen. Qassem was a member of the Islamic Revolution Guards, but the great front of the resistance is geographically ready to carry out this harsh revenge and it will certainly be done at the best of times and in the best way possible.”

“Although on Friday morning they resorted to diplomacy and even said that if you want to take revenge, do it in accordance with what we did, but they can’t determine anything,” the IRGC deputy commander for coordination, Brigadier Fadavi, added, referring to the US message to Iran after the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Soleimani.

A Swiss diplomat delivered a message from the United States to Iran on Friday over the US killing of senior Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani, the Swiss foreign ministry said earlier.

“The chargé d’affaires was informed of Iran’s position and in turn delivered the message of the United States,” the ministry said in an emailed response to a Reuters query, without elaborating.

Switzerland represents the interests of the United States in Iran, allowing the two countries to maintain a diplomatic channel of communication.

He highlighted the role of the IRGC in propelling the Islamic Revolution’s ideals saying, “The forty years of grandeur and pride have been created thanks to the blood of the martyrs.”

The top commander described the uniform of the IRGC as “the holiest uniform that we know throughout history ” since thousands of those who were among the best servants of God have been martyred in this uniform.

Brigadier General Fadavi’s remarks came against amid the growing tensions between Iran and the US after, especially the IRGC shot down an advanced US spy drone that had violated Iran’s territorial waters.

The senior IRGC commander mentioned that the US has been present in the region since 1833 and is now it is weaker than ever in West Asia and today, US has the minimum number of naval fleet in the Persian Gulf, so that there is no room to worry since IRGC and Army forces of the country have thorough control in the Persian Gulf, adding that even the US aircraft carrier which was on its way to the region according to the previous plan, remained in the Indian Ocean.

Referring to the US psychological war on Iran, he said that the US actions of designing and planning psychological warfare are an evil act and the Islamic revolution and its followers destroyed the borders of the terrorist groups dependent on global arrogance.

Referring to US troops presence in Yemen, Afghanistan, and Syria Fadavi said the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and its forces in the West Asia are terrorist.

He further noted that certainly, the Islamic Revolution is now much more powerful than 24 May 1982 (Liberation of Khorramshahr during the Iran–Iraq War).
