TEHRAN (Iran News) Hardline fighters from the Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen (JNIM) carried out the attack on an elite police training academy and the nearby airport on Tuesday, prompting shock and anger in the West African country.

A security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the AFP news agency that 77 people had been killed and 255 injured in the attack.

An authenticated confidential official document put the toll at about 100, identifying 81 victims, AFP added.

Two diplomats serving in the region, including one based in Bamako, told the Reuters news agency the death toll was believed to be in the 70s.

A third diplomat based in the region said hundreds were believed dead and injured, and hospitals had run out of beds to treat the victims, Al Jazeera reported.

The country is fighting an armed uprising that began more than a decade ago in its arid north. It has also spread to neighboring countries in the Sahel region leaving thousands dead and forcing millions from their homes.

The attack undermines claims from the military, which seized power in a coup in 2021, to have stabilized the situation after the departure of French troops and turning to Russia for security.

Mali’s military rulers have acknowledged some losses.

JNIM claimed that a few dozen of its fighters had killed and wounded “hundreds” from the opposing ranks, including members of the Russian mercenary group Wagner.

It published videos on social media that showed its fighters firing randomly into the windows of the presidential hangar and destroying aircraft.

A plane used for humanitarian work by the World Food Program (WFP) was one of those damaged, according to National Airways Corp, the South African aviation company that owns the plane.

September 11 Scenario Turns 19

An unproved charge, that the West Asian countries have paid its price for it, is attributed to September 11, 2001 event.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

In fact, if Al-Qaeda was behind this scenario, Saudi Arabia’s rulers should have paid its price so that not only they did not pay, but also they paved the ground for presence of the U.S. Army in the region.

It was an incident where the U.S. guile is seen, and most individuals and international communities have casted doubt on it as the U.S. claims that the extremist group Al-Qaeda with financial support of Saudis has masterminded the attack and they are trying to cover up the role of Saudi government in order to milk more this milk cow. So the plot was carried out in the morning of September 11, 2001 when 19 Al-Qaeda forces hijacked four American passenger planes.

The first plane crashed the northern part of the World Trade Center building at 08:45 a.m. and then the second plane hit the southern side of the building at 09:03 a.m. Immediately after the second plane crashed the building, the U.S. government ordered the closure of New York airports and imposed curfew in the tunnels and bridges of the city.

The then U.S. President George Bush who was in Florida officially announced that the U.S. was attacked and flew to one of the U.S. military centers. One of the hijacked planes hit the Pentagon in Washington D.C. at 09:43. This attack caused the government to order immediate evacuation of the White House.

The southern building collapsed at 10:05 almost one hour after the being hit by the plane. At 10:10 the west side of the Pentagon collapsed. At the same time the fourth plane crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

This attack made the government officials order evacuation of the United Nations, Department of State and Department of Justice buildings and later the World Bank building. The northern building of the Twin Towers collapsed at 10:28. After this collapse, all government federal buildings were closed and evacuated in Washington. Israel also closed down its diplomatic centers worldwide. All government center in New York were closed and the then New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani who is mistress of the MKO group (Iranian terrorist Group) urged citizens not to leave their residences.

International airports of Los Angeles and San Francisco were almost completely evacuated and closed. At 13:04, U.S. President Bush while he was at the Barksdale Air Force Base announced that the U.S. forces were on full alert in all over the world, emphasizing that elements behind this crime will be harshly punished.

At 13:44 the Pentagon announced that five warships and two aircraft carriers were in charge of protecting the security of eastern coasts of the U.S. It also ordered the ban on commercial flights all over the U.S. until Wednesday.

The fire resulted from the attack swept the Building No. 7 of the World Trade Center at 16:10. The New York stock market, The Wall Street, was forced to shut down. At 16:30, U.S. President Bush flew from Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska to Washington. The building No. 7 of the 47-story World Trade Center tower collapsed at 17:20. President Bush and his wife under tight security returned to the White House at 18:54. The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed completely in two hours. At 16:00, CNN TV channel reported that the U.S. officials would probably blame the Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden for this terrorist attack.

Al-Qaeda was and is still a group which was formed by Bin Laden during the Soviet Union troops’ withdrawal from Afghanistan in order to conquer Afghanistan as their ruling realm. Al-Qaeda in 1988 and in a fatwa (religious order) announced that it is the duty of any Muslim to kill Americans in any part of the world. Bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Ahmed Rafia Taha, Mir Hamza and Fazl al-Rahman seemed to be the leaders of Al-Qaeda at that time.

According to the claims of the Americans, Khalid Sheik Mohammed, a senior member of Al-Qaeda, was one of the masterminds of the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Iran’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad several times during his speeches at the UN General Assembly attributed the 9/11 attack to the U.S, and called for forming a fact-finding committee. He also in his speech said: “9/11 is actually a pre-planned game for inciting the human community sentiments and for finding a pretext to attack at the Islamic region and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, and it has led to killing of one million innocent people in these regions.”

Among the different assumptions and analyses on the 9/11 event, activists in analyzing the role of Freemasonry’s role in today’s world have some views. They believe that 9/11 event had been planned years before being taken place. To prove their views, they point to the existing ambiguities in reporting the accident that the Twin Towers disaster and deaths of thousands of people was not actually carried out by Bin Laden’s men but it was done by the U.S., Freemasonries and Jews.

To proof this claim, they say it is enough only to fold a one-dollar note to see the picture of Twin Towers after being hit by Boeing planes.

Syrian forces and their allies foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the southern countryside of Idlib towards a military post in Hama’s northern countryside.

The terrorists moved from Idlib’s southern countryside to infiltrate into a road linking Habit town, 77 km to the southwest of Idlib, towards al-Jeesat village in Hama countryside, SANA news agency reported.

An army unit targeted the militants, destroying their car and killing all of them.

Under a deal reached following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in September, all militants should have withdrawn from the demilitarization zone by October 15.

However, al-Qaeda-linked Takfiri terrorists said they refuse to either leave the buffer zone or hand over their weapons.

Moscow believed that the 15-20 kilometer buffer zone would help stop attacks from Idlib-based militants on Syrian army positions and Russia’s military bases in the flashpoint region.

Idlib and some surrounding areas are the last major bastions of Takfiri terrorists and anti-government militants in Syria, where the Syrian government has in recent months retaken much of the territory it had lost since the conflict erupted in the country in 2011.

Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesman of Iranian Foreign Ministry referred to the role of Saudi Arabia in 9/11 attacks and lashed out at bin Salman for accusing Iran of sheltering al-Qaeda leaders.

“Bin Salman’s illusionary and crude claim that al-Qaeda leaders are in Iran is a big lie and he cannot spread lies to conceal the role of Saudi Arabia in creating the most dangerous terrorist groups of the contemporary age and perpetrating important terrorist attacks like the 9/11,” said Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday.

The diplomat’s remarks came after the airing of a television interview with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman by NBC news.

“In the first years of US attack on Afghanistan which made al-Qaeda terrorists escape or return to Saudi Arabia, some of them willingly and illegally used the Iran-Afghanistan long borders to enter Iran and upon their arrival they were arrested and treated according to their documents and nationality and were handed to their respective country. Among them were the members of Bin Ladan family and his daughter whose Saudi nationality and documents made us hand them to Saudi embassy in Tehran. Saudi officials asked Iran to expel the other members of Bin Ladan’s family from the same place they had entered Iran, and it was done as they had demanded.”

“Bin Salman is blatantly using his trip to US to pave his way to Saudi throne and apparently funneling hundreds of billions of dollars of the wealth of Saudi nation to the pockets of American arms industries has not been enough and he has to find a war around the background information recounting the role of current Saudi rulers in supporting terrorism and extremism. But he showed in his recent interview that he is a crude and unintelligent liar who even does not know the history and culture of his own country.”

“The creation of al-Qaeda terrorist organization by intelligence bodies of Saudi Arabia and their systematic link with 9/11 attacks is known to everybody,” reiterated Mr. Ghasemi.

“The released parts of the 9/11 reports in US are explicitly revealing some parts of these undeniable facts which show that many of current Saudi officials who are holding different posts now in Saudi Arabia have had bold roles in this terrorist attack,” asserted the Iranian diplomat.

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif rejected Washington’s claims about Tehran’s links to the Al Qaeda terrorist group as an attempt to “whitewash” the reality about the Saudi regime’s role in the September 11, 2001 attacks.

“A record low for the reach of petrodollars: CIA & FDD fake news w/ selective AlQaeda docs re: Iran can’t whitewash role of US allies in 9/11,” Zarif said on his twitter account late on Thursday.

The tweet came after a 19-page Al Qaeda report in Arabic, which claimed Iran supported the extremist group before the 9/11 attacks.

The document, part of nearly 47,000 documents recently released by the CIA, quoted the group’s slain leader Osama bin Laden as saying, “Anyone who wants to strike America, Iran is ready to support him and help him with their frank and clear rhetoric.”

The report was released by the Long War Journal, a publication backed by the Washington-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), a think tank fiercely critical of Iran and skeptical of its nuclear deal with world powers.

The CIA gave the Long War Journal early access to the material, according to local media.

The New York Post recently published a report saying that “fresh evidence submitted in a major 9/11 lawsuit moving forward against the Saudi Arabian government reveals its embassy in Washington may have funded a “dry run” for the hijackings carried out by two Saudi employees, further reinforcing the claim employees and agents of the kingdom directed and aided the 9/11 hijackers and plotters.”

The report proved that the Saudi government itself was directly involved in funding the attacks.
