Israel conducts dozens of airstrikes on Syria

TEHRAN (Iran News) In the latest attacks, Israeli fighter jets targeted the city of Masyaf in Hama Governorate, according to Qatar’s Al Jazeera TV network.

The network also said a military base affiliated with the army was struck multiple times by Israel on the eastern outskirts of Homs.

Other media outlets reported attacks on weapon depots in the village of Mahajjah in the southern Governorate of Daraa, as well as weapon depots of the 18th Armored Division in eastern Homs.

A weapons factory in the city of As-Safira in Aleppo Governorate was reportedly struck as well.

Meanwhile, Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya TV said that the Israeli regime bombed the area around the Saydnaya prison on the outskirts of the capital Damascus, as well as tunnels and ammunition depots in Mount Qasioun near the city.

Al Arabiya also reported airstrikes on a military depot in Shinshar near Homs.

Charred Bodies Scattered After Israeli Airstrike Sparks Fire at Gaza Displacement Camp

TEHRAN (Iran News) Palestinians in Gaza woke up to scenes of devastation following an Israeli airstrike that hit a camp near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah.

The attack led to a fire that engulfed tents housing displaced people, killing at least four and injuring about 70 others.

“What happened was that we woke up to smoke, flames, fire, and burning pieces falling on the tents from every direction,” said Om Ahmad Radi, a survivor, speaking to Al Jazeera.

“The fire trucks couldn’t get here. There were so many burned and charred bodies all over the place. The explosions terrified us inside and outside the tents,” she added, describing the night as “horrible and brutal.”

Israeli jets targeted the area, and the subsequent explosion set off a fire that spread swiftly through the camp. Rescue teams have been working to find survivors amidst the chaos, as the fire continued to rage.

Videos from the scene captured massive flames and the immediate aftermath of the explosion. Civil Defense units, already stretched thin from earlier operations at the Bureij refugee camp, struggled to respond quickly due to the scale of the fire.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud explosions and suggested that incendiary bombs may have been used, which contributed to the rapid spread of the fire across the tents, many of which were made from flammable materials like plastic and wood.

The Israeli military claimed that the strike targeted “terrorists operating within a command and control complex” near the hospital, though it did not provide evidence for these claims. As in previous strikes, Israel alleged that Hamas was using civilian infrastructure to plan attacks.

The hospital’s reception area was quickly filled with wounded survivors and the bodies of those killed in the attack. Rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities work to control the fire and assess the full extent of the damage.

In Gaza, at least 42,227 people have been killed and 98,464 injured in Israeli genocidal war since October 2023.

Tens of civilians martyred in new massacre by US-led coalition in Syria

The US-led ‘International Coalition’ continued to shell residential areas as at least 20 civilians were martyred, including children, in al-Baghouz village in the far southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Local sources told SANA that warplanes of the ‘International Coalition’ on Monday evening launched airstrikes on the outskirts of al-Baghouz village to the southeast of al-Bokmal City in the vicinity of the Iraqi borders claiming the lives of 16 civilians including seven children, in addition to causing material damage to the houses and properties.

Later reports put the number of those killed or injured as high as 70 civilians.

Earlier on the day, the sources indicated that four civilians were martyred in Deir Ezzor southeastern countryside in airstrikes launched by warplanes of the ‘Coalition’ on the outskirts of the village as they targeted the houses and the infrastructure.

The coalition has been bombing targets in Syria since 2014 despite never obtaining a UN mandate and not obtaining Damascus’ approval.

On Feb 9th, three civilians were martyred in aggression by warplanes of the “International Coalition” on the citizens’ houses in the surroundings of al-Tayyanieh town in the countryside of al-Mayadeen city, about 45 km to the east of Deir Ezzor.

US-led Coalition airstrikes leave tens dead or injured in Deir Ezzor

Tens of civilians were martyred or injured after the US-led international coalition’s warplanes launched new airstrikes on Abu al-Hasan village in southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor under the pretext of fighting ISIL terrorist organization .

Local sources told SANA’s reporter that the coalition on Monday targeted the locals’ houses in Abu al-Hasan village near Hajin city, killing and injuring tens of the civilians, most of them women and children.

The number of deaths is expected to rise due to the critical condition of many of the injured, in addition to there being several missing people trapped under rubble, as it is difficult to rescue them due to the continuing airstrikes by the coalition, the sources said.

The airstrikes also destroyed many houses and much of the infrastructure in the village.
